Beijing first time
This was my first time going to ##Beijing and we organized the trip ourselves, but luckily I had one friend who could speak Chinese. I personally think it was quite necessary because there were not many people who could speak English here.
We stayed for 7 days, staying around #Qianmen. It was easy to find restaurants and traveled quite conveniently, and the prices were not expensive. During the 7 days, we went to #SummerPalace, walked around #SanLitUn, visited #TianTan, #Popland, #GreatWall, #TiananMenSquare, #ForbiddenCity. Every place was crowded but very fun. Oh, there was Universal Studio Beijing too. Luckily, we chose to go on a weekday, so there were fewer people and we didn't have to wait long for the rides. It was so much fun.
Oh, a little tip about paying. You can use Alipay and Wechat Pay everywhere, even at street-side shops.
Tips 2: Traveling: You can't scan Alipay to get on the subway, which is quite inconvenient. For this trip, we focused on calling Didi (taxi) via the Alipay app, which was the most convenient. However, you can pay for the bus with both Alipay and cash.
To summarize, we liked our Beijing trip. Some places may be a bit crowded, but it's acceptable. If we go again next time, we want to chill at a cafe. No need to go to tourist attractions because this time we've covered almost all the main places. See you again.
