Finding Mt. Fuji
It was well worth staying overnight to catch a glimpse of Mt. Fuji! I was a at luxury capsule hotel that was right next to a train station. I went three stops away to the Fuji Ladder Town and walked to the pagoda. I was able up go back to that same station and get back to Tokyo in just a couple of hours!
From there, I met my hostel mate at the Gotokuji cat shrine. We continued the cat theme by going to Rarasand Cafe where they had tasty and cute cat shaped treats. We also waited to see the beckoning cat train. It doesn’t come frequently so be sure to check the times. There is also a cafe that has a view of it but you should check their opening hours. They were closed on that day so we just sat at the station.
We went to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building for free aerial views of the city! It wasn’t crowded and it was a gorgeous area with a nice selection of souvenirs.
We finally went to Shibuya at night with another girl from the hostel. We were able to commemorate our time together with a Photo Booth shoot! It was perfect for my scrapbooking!

☔️ **Rainy Day on the Fuji Tour** ☔️
I recently went on a day tour to Mount Fuji, and unfortunately, the weather didn’t allow me to see Mount Fuji, but I visited some scenic spots in the area. The rain added a unique charm to the surroundings, creating a peaceful and moody atmosphere.
While it wasn’t the clear, picture-perfect day I had imagined, it was still a memorable experience. Sometimes, exploring in unexpected conditions gives you a new perspective! #mtfuji
【Travel】✨Tokyo|Flying to Japan for cherry blossoms and Mount Fuji🗻🌸|Cherry blossoms✨
It's cherry blossom chasing season🌸 This year I chose to go to Mount Fuji to chase cherry blossoms. During the process of taking JR from Tokyo to Mount Fuji, I have seen scattered cherry blossoms🌸
There are not many cherry blossoms near Lake Kawaguchi, we went to Yagisaki Park to see the cherry blossoms ✨🌸 Once inside, the cherry blossoms on both sides of the trail are like greeting you, very spectacular😆😆🎉 It happened to be a bit windy that day, I was lucky enough to see cherry blossoms blowing snow❄️
Walking a little further into the park, you will see a lake and Mount Fuji with cherry blossoms 🗻 Blue sky and white clouds plus pink cherry blossoms, snow-white spire Mount Fuji, it is simply a 💯 points of colorful painting ✨
📍Yagizaki Park
🚗Driving is the most convenient, there is a parking space nearby for temporary parking; non-driving can take the West Lake tourist bus at Kawaguchiko Station and get off at "Yakizaki Park"
✨Go early will be less crowded, and the morning light will be more beautiful📸

Mount Fuji: Japan's Majestic Icon
#aprilblooms #mtfuji #japan
Mount Fuji, standing tall at 3,776 meters, is more than just Japan's tallest mountain—it's a symbol of beauty, serenity, and strength. With its perfect cone shape and snow-capped peak, it has inspired poets, artists, and travelers for centuries. Whether you see it on a clear winter day or from one of the nearby lakes, its presence is awe-inspiring.
The journey to Mount Fuji is an unforgettable one. If you're up for it, a hike to the summit is a challenging yet rewarding experience. Along the way, you'll pass through lush forests, feel the quiet reverence of the landscape, and enjoy breathtaking views. For those not inclined to climb, the surrounding areas, like Lake Kawaguchi, offer stunning reflections of the mountain, while spots like the Chureito Pagoda provide iconic views, especially when framed by cherry blossoms or autumn leaves.
Mount Fuji isn’t just a mountain; it's a deeply spiritual place that captures the soul of Japan. Whether you're seeking adventure or a peaceful moment to admire its beauty, Fuji’s presence will stay with you long after you've left its slopes.

Unexpected Castle Views on the Way to Mt. Fuji
On the road to Mt. Fuji, we stumbled upon a beautiful traditional Japanese castle standing proudly against the skyline — completely unplanned, and totally magical.
Surrounded by cherry blossoms and calm, rural scenery, it felt like stepping into a moment from the past. These surprise spots are what make traveling through Japan unforgettable.
Sometimes, the best places aren’t even on the itinerary — just look out the window.

[Yoshida Udon] Furin (Yamanashi Prefecture)
#Spring0yentrip
You don't think "hoto" is the only specialty of Yamanashi prefecture?!?!?!
There are more!
"Yoshida Udon"
It's said to be the hardest in Japan🤣💦
My friend who ate it said it was "like chikuwabu"! lol
It's interesting that there are so many privately run shops, but this is one of them. "Fuurin"
It's miso-based, but it's not thick like houtou, it's more like red miso soup.
I'm grateful that it's cheap even though it's full of volume!
The uncles and aunties have a local feel, so it's more about frankness than "hospitality"!

Dreamy Mt. Fuji
Finally made it to Japan last month.
When we stayed at a hotel near Lake Yamanaka, the food, the view and everything was so perfect.
Not to mention that Mt. Fuji was viewable the whole day from the sunrise to sunset. In winter, if you are lucky and the weather condition is fine, rise at 05:00 and head outside for a pinky Mt. Fuji as the morning sunlight embraces the mountain top by painting it from pink to yellow to red.#Mt fuji #lake Yamanaka
It was just a unforgettable memory.
Epic views of Mt Fuji! Lake Kawaguchiko - A day trip from Tokyo.
#2024mapped #kawaguchiko #mtfuji #chureitopagoda #Honchostreet #Musicforestmuseum #arakuyamasengenpark #japan #tokyo
We managed this sightseeing in a day-trip from Tokyo. Up before the sunrise and back at dark, it was one of our favourite day-trips in Japan.
This involved a few train transfers, from Shinjuku, Toyoda and Otsuki, transferring to the Fujikyoko line to Kawaguchiko Station.
From Kawaguchiko station there are sightseeing shuttle buses that loop around Lake Kawaguchi (Red, Blue and Green Lines). Maps and timetables are available when purchasing your tickets.
We had a busy schedule so our stops included:
• Seiko Iyashi-no-sato nenba on the Green Line.
• Music Forest museum (Red Line)
• Continue walking around the lake until returning to the station.
We caught the train to Shimoyoshida Station for our next stop #arakurayamasengenpark to see the one of Japan’s most photographic spots #chureitopagoda! After approximately 400 steps we reached a fairly long line, waiting for our 5 minutes of photo opportunity. Sadly, the sakuras were late to blossom, but the view of Mount Fuji was crystal clear!
We walked approximately 25mins to reach Honcho street, where again you can see views of #fujisan.
A further 10 minute walk and we returned to Shimoyoshida Station for our return to Tokyo.
Mount Fuji is not so easy to catch! But this iconic Fuji viewing spot is still worth it
The Chureito Pagoda is probably one of the most photographable place near Mount Fuji. The pagoda is part of the Arakura Sengen Shrine and is nearly 400 steps up the mountain from the shrine's main buildings, which is a pretty tough walk. The observation deck most tourists crave to visit is even higher up.
I visited this place during a bus tour around Mount Fuji in early September - little did I know, not the best time to try to see it. During this time of the year, it is not yet covered in snow, making it harder to spot. Our bus tour happened to be on a relatively cloudy day, which only made our chances to see the famous volcano smaller. As our tour guide pointed out, Mount Fuji is like a shy woman hiding her face in the clouds when she doesn’t have her snowy makeup on.
But nevertheless, the view this observatory offers is stunning. The local nature and the bird’s-eye view of surrounding villages made the tired and red-faced me smile until my face hurt. Definitely one of the best days of my trip to Japan.
In my pictures you can still see her, hiding her face in the clouds. #mtfuji #japan #yamanashi
Oshino Hakkai @ "Eight Seas"
Hakkai, or "Eight Seas," refers to the eight pools of water that are the main attraction at Oshino Hakkai. It’s a small area that features traditional village houses, shops and watermills set against a spectacular backdrop of Japan’s most famous mountain, Mt Fuji.
This small village is a pretty retreat no matter what time of year you visit. Evergreens are interspersed with maple trees that turn a gorgeous amber in the autumn months, and in the winter, layers of snow add a magical quality to this tranquil village. It is a popular destination and often busy, but even so, the peacefulness of the area persists.

[Yamanashi Prefecture] A world-famous spot with a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji!
This is a tourist spot that has become known worldwide🗻 The elegant view of Mt. Fuji from the observation deck of "Arakurayama Sengen Park" in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture has become famous✨
I went there this time too, and it was really beautiful. The expression changes depending on the season, and I want to see it in spring when the cherry blossoms are blooming😊
However, I learned something this time: to see this spectacular view, you have to climb 398 stone steps😭. I was really tired, but there is a reward at the top of the climb, so please do your best!
Since it has become famous worldwide, many foreigners come to visit.
Around the middle of the stone steps is "Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine", a historic shrine founded 705 years ago. In the main hall, people gather to worship him as a god of disaster prevention and family harmony.
Please go and enjoy the most spectacular view in Japan, which changes its expression all year round😊
If you get any comments, it will be encouraging and helpful for the future‼ ️Please give it to me🙇

Arakurayama Sengen Park
Arakurayama Sengen Park is a destination that truly lives up to the hype. It offers one of the most breathtaking and iconic views in Japan, with the Chureito Pagoda and Mount Fuji forming a picture-perfect composition.
The climb to the pagoda is steep, with about 400 steps, but the view at the top is worth every ounce of effort. The park is well-maintained, and there are plenty of spots to pause and take in the scenery along the way. I recommend visiting early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid crowds and capture the best light for photography.
The park’s charm changes with the seasons, so there’s no bad time to visit. Whether it’s the cherry blossoms in spring, the vivid colors of autumn, or the peaceful snow in winter, each season offers its own unique beauty.
Facilities are basic, but the focus here is on the natural and cultural experience. Nearby vending machines and small shops provide refreshments, but it’s a good idea to come prepared if you plan to spend extended time here.
If you’re visiting Japan and want to experience the country’s iconic blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage, Arakurayama Sengen Park is an absolute must-see. It’s a place that will leave you in awe and give you memories to cherish forever.

The most mystic hiking trail in Japan 👹
#hikingtrails
📍Jukai (Sea of Forest) Nature Trail, Aokigahara Forest
The Jukai Nature Trail in Aokigahara, or the "Sea of Trees," offers a mystical and serene hike through one of Japan's most iconic and mysterious forests, formed from ancient lava flows near Mount Fuji.
Tips for Visiting:
▪️Stay on the Trail: There are many hidden caves in the forest, and it’s easy to fall into one if you stray off the path. It’s strongly recommended to stick to the marked trails for your safety.
▪️Bear Safety: Bears are known to live in the area, so carrying a bell or renting one from a nearby village is advised to make noise and prevent surprise encounters.
▪️Limited Cell Signal: Be prepared for no cell service—download maps or bring a GPS.
▪️No Night Hiking: The forest is incredibly dark at night, so avoid hiking after sunset to prevent getting lost.
‼️Start from Saiko Bat Cave: The easiest way to reach the heart of the forest is by starting at Saiko Bat Cave and following routes 9 and 10.

Recharge in hot springs near Mt. Fuji 🗻
#hotsprings
We were there twice and really enjoyed it! 🧖
Fujiyama Inn Conifer offers the perfect relaxing getaway with traditional Japanese onsen experiences. Some rooms come with their very own private onsen, allowing you to enjoy a soak in natural hot spring waters without leaving your room. This is ideal for couples or those seeking a more intimate experience.
Additionally, the inn features a public onsen that you can book for private use, allowing you to spend time together as a couple—an option not commonly found, as most traditional public onsens have strict gender separation. The entire pool area, including the wall tiles, is built using ancient volcanic rocks.
Tips for Visiting:
Book in Advance: If you’re planning on booking the public onsen for private use, reserve ahead, especially during busy seasons.
Onsen Etiquette: Clean yourself thoroughly before entering the bath, and maintain the peaceful atmosphere.
‼️Don’t forget to bring towels from your room

Aokigahara: The “Cursed” Forest of Japan 🌳
#forest
Aokigahara, also known as the Sea of Trees, is infamous not only for its dense beauty but also for its dark reputation as the "cursed" forest of Japan. Nestled at the northwest base of Mount Fuji, this sprawling forest is shrouded in mystery, folklore, and tragedy. Over time, it has earned a reputation for being haunted, with stories of lost spirits, or yūrei, wandering through the forest’s shadowy depths.
The thick canopy and jagged volcanic landscape contribute to the eerie stillness of Aokigahara. While the forest is rich with natural beauty, featuring ancient trees, lava caves, and a unique ecosystem, it is also linked to more tragic associations, amplifying its "cursed" status.

Recommended Spots for Viewing Mount Fuji, Must-Visit Courses for Mount Fuji Travel
Mount Fuji, the most famous mountain in Japan, is a popular destination for many tourists. While there are many places in Shizuoka and Tokyo where you can get a clear view of Mount Fuji, Tanuki Lake is a spot where you can see the mountain reflected in the lake. This makes it a particularly popular spot for photographers.
You can visit this place even without a rental car, as it is accessible by public transportation. You can take a bus from Fujinomiya Station directly to the lake.
The bus ride offers stunning views of Mount Fuji, making it a highly recommended trip.

📍Kawaguchiko
Kawaguchiko, one of the most visited places for trips near Tokyo, is a famous area for its Mt. Fuji view.
It takes about 2 hours one way by bus from downtown Tokyo, and you can see Mt. Fuji at a glance whenever you walk along the street, so I highly recommend Kawaguchiko to those looking for a trip near Tokyo.
Kawaguchiko has a variety of places to see, from the lake + Mt. Fuji view to the Lawson convenience store + Mt. Fuji view. I took the cable car and saw Mt. Fuji from the top of the mountain. Since it is a high place, you can see a great view of Mt. Fuji on a nice day.

[Fuji Mountain View🗻Super Cost-Effective Single Villa🏠]
[Unboxing a single-family villa with Mount Fuji view🗻]
The entire area is filled with single villas operated by TOKI, and is recommended for friends who are traveling by car. All house types can overlook Mt. Fuji from the sun roof.
This time we stayed in a rooftop villa. As soon as you drive in, a staff member will come out to greet you and take you to your room. There are three floors in total, including two suites and a rooftop terrace.
The hotel offers paid breakfast and dinner (optional rooftop bbq/indoor shabu shabu/sukiyaki), and dinner is about ¥3,300-3,500 per person. Breakfast/dinner can be booked on the same day. After booking, the entire package will be placed in your room and they will help to organize it. The taste is good.
We checked in at the beginning of March and the room rate was about ¥30,000 per day.

【🗻Private Hot Spring Hotel with Mount Fuji View】- Deluxe Mountain View Room with Private Bath, Lake View, Mountain View and Mount Fuji View!
[Unboxing a Private Hot Spring Hotel with Mount Fuji View🗻]
The hotel has multiple room types to choose from, with options for either Lake Kawaguchi or Mount Fuji view.
The room type I chose is a deluxe mountain view room with a private hot spring. You can see Mount Fuji whether in the living room or in the private hot spring!
Even if you don't get this room type, you can still reserve a paid private hot spring bath with a view of Mount Fuji (3850-4400 yen).
Of course, in addition to the private hot springs, there are also large public baths.
The large public bath has outdoor, indoor, semi-outdoor and massage pools, but there is not much scenery to see in the large public bath.
Although the large bath facilities are adequate, they feel a bit dated, and I would personally recommend the private onsen rooms.
The most surprising thing is the hotel’s 270-degree free observation deck, where you can see the lake, mountains and Mount Fuji!
Room rate: 54,000 yen/night (excluding breakfast/dinner)
The check-in date is around the beginning of March, and I booked this room two weeks before my departure, so you can use it as a reference.

🇯🇵Japan Mount Fuji One-Day Tour Guide🗻Be sure to check the weather forecast! !
❣️Expressway Bus from Shinjuku to Lake Kawaguchi at 8:25
Ekigong🚌
(It is recommended to book round-trip bus tickets on the official website in advance) Be sure to check the weather before you leave! ! If the weather is bad equal to go in vain
There are two ways:
1️⃣ Google search "Mount Fuji Visibility Index" to see the situation of the next 7 days ☀️☁️
2️⃣ Watch the live broadcast of Mount Fuji 🗻 before departure
❣️It takes about 2 hours to get to Kawaguchiko Station, you can go to the left after getting off the bus📸LAWSON convenience store check-in (window note that there are many people taking pictures, the car is very fast, be careful when crossing the road!!
❣️After taking pictures, you can go back to Kawaguchiko Station and take the tram to Shimoyoshida Station
After getting off the bus, walk to Asama Shrine⛩️ and drive for about 10 minutes and then take the N steps to climb the five-story tower📸
❣️Finally Google map locate "Hikawa Timer" Walk over 20 minutes or so, you can reach Honmachi 2-chome
Personally, I suggest you don't have enough time to go here. There are many people taking photos, and there are many roads🫣
Cars, green light once in a long time, and there are commanders watching your land to see if they rush out of the road, it is difficult to take pictures
❣️ Finally, take the tram back to Kawaguchiko Station, and then go to "Shaozu" to eat pumpkin
Yuton, seems to be a local cuisine of Yamanashi Prefecture, personally I think the taste is not good, the environment is beautiful to take pictures💛
The most important thing is to walk over the road past houses, schools (some students play baseball ⚾️) and so on
Finally, after eating, we slowly walked back to Kawaguchiko Station to take the bus back to Shinjuku
I really list Mount Fuji as one of the must-see places in my life🤍
It is recommended to come during the snow season because Mount Fuji with snow is really much more beautiful 🗻❄️

Will I ever get to stand on top of Fuji-san?
I have just spent almost a month in winter, revisiting some of my favourite places in Japan and exploring new destinations in Kansai, Gifu, Central Alps, and snowy Tohoku. My #2024wish is to return to Japan to fulfil my bucket list of hiking Mount Fuji with my husband. I hope for us to stand on Fuji-san's summit and watch the sunrise light up the Fuji Five Lakes area, slowly and beautifully, from the top. We would then retreat to a glamping resort or a soothing onsen ryokan stay, hopefully one that grants us a gorgeous view of Fuji! #mtfuji #fujisan #traveljapan
