🎉 Took my parents on their very first cruise
After three years of talking about it… we finally made it happen! 🚢💙
As the “always-worrying” child in the family, I expected to do a lot of prep work. But honestly? This trip was effortless 💯
We sailed on MSC Bellissima — and my parents were totally blown away by how smooth and thoughtful everything was.
✨ No visa stress — visa-free boarding made departure so easy.
✨ Chinese-speaking staff were available everywhere on board, so my parents felt confident and at ease the entire time.
✨ Menus, programs, announcements — all had Chinese options. No language barrier at all!
🍽️ Dining? Way beyond expectations.
They promised 50% Chinese meals — and they delivered.
From roasted pigeon and lobster noodles to tender short ribs, my parents gave every dish a 5-star review.
The buffet was open nearly 20 hours a day — my dad even had a hot bowl of chicken noodle soup at midnight 😌
📸 Other highlights we loved:
✔️ The Swarovski crystal staircase — absolutely breathtaking. Took a ton of family photos there.
✔️ The 80-meter LED dome on the promenade — stunning scenes of misty Jiangnan scrolling overhead.
✔️ Karaoke lounge at sunset — a hit with all the aunties and uncles on board 🎤
✔️ London Theatre shows — beautiful lighting, costumes, and performances that truly felt Broadway-level. (Make sure to book seats early!)
No complicated planning, no rushing around — everything was included and well-arranged.
My parents said this was the most relaxing trip they’ve ever taken.
And for me? Knowing they were happy and comfortable made it even better ❤️
MSC Bellissima, you did not disappoint.
This was the kind of journey we’ll talk about for years to come.

🌊✨ First Time on an MSC Cruise – It’s Giving LUXURY Vibes! 🚢
Departed straight from Hong Kong – no flights, no stress, just chill. 😮💨
I used to think cruises were only for retirees…
But this trip? Totally changed my mind! 🔥
Here’s what a typical day looked like:
✔️ Wake up to ocean views 🌅
✔️ Buffet breakfast with endless options 🍳
✔️ Afternoon by the pool, sipping cocktails 🍹
✔️ Sunset on the deck, then live shows & late-night snacks 🎭🌃
🛏️ We stayed in a balcony cabin and waking up to the open sea every morning was unreal 🤯
🧳 No packing/unpacking. No hotel-hopping. Just pure relaxation.
And the FOOD?
Buffets, fine dining, snacks in between…
I may or may not have eaten five times a day 😅
If you’re tired of hectic trips and want something slow, easy, and scenic –
MSC Cruises is SO worth trying.
Definitely not just for older folks. 😉

🚢 My First Cruise from Singapore: 12 Days on Celebrity Solstice
Just got back from my very first cruise experience—12 days, 11 nights sailing on Celebrity Solstice, boarding straight from Singapore! This Southeast Asia itinerary covered 2 countries and 7 cities:
🇹🇭 Koh Samui – Bangkok – Pattaya
🇻🇳 Ho Chi Minh – Nha Trang – Da Nang/Hoi An – Halong Bay
✨ The Ship
Celebrity Solstice is part of the Royal Caribbean family, but much smaller than ships like Spectrum of the Seas. Most of the guests onboard were older Western couples (85% White, 10% Asian, 5% Black)—as a 30-something, I was definitely one of the youngest 😅
I booked directly on the official app. The Oceanview Balcony Room was cozy but spacious enough. The views from the ship? Stunning.
🍽️ Dining & Onboard Life
The free dining options were a bit limited—mainly just one complimentary buffet. The food leaned Western/Middle Eastern, but the desserts were surprisingly good!
🌍 About the Ports
Here’s the catch:
Disembarkation starts super early—like 6-7am!
It takes 1–2.5 hrs one way to reach city centers from ports (especially Nha Trang and Da Nang)
You only get around 3–4 hrs in the city before heading back
Cruise doesn’t cover your transport/activities on land—you’ll need to pay extra via the app or onboard Tour Desk
All purchases are charged to your room card, which is linked to your credit card

First Time on a Cruise — Totally Blew My Mind! 🛳️
Just got back from a 5D4N Royal Caribbean Voyager of the Seas sailing to Da Nang… and wow, it was so much more fun than I expected!
🌊 Balcony Cabin = Best Choice
Booked a spacious balcony room for 3 (yes, the pull-out bed was a hit with the kid 😂). Ours was at the aft — a bit of a view block, but sooo roomy!
🎡 Non-stop fun onboard
Ice skating, rock climbing, shows, yoga, dance classes, mahjong, kids’ club, spa… it felt like a floating resort!
Parents, listen up — the kids' club is a lifesaver. Drop the little one off and go enjoy your own cruise time 👏
🍽️ Eat. All. Day. Long.
Free buffets + the Sapphire Dining Room (so classy). We also got the specialty dining package — 3 nights of premium meals. Steakhouse was 🔥!
And yes, free ice cream & drinks on tap the whole time.
💡 Smooth, Thoughtful Service
From luggage delivery to visa handling — we didn’t have to worry about anything. Rooms cleaned twice daily, and staff all super friendly (English & Mandarin both ok).
📍TLDR: A perfect, zero-stress holiday — ideal for families with kids or seniors. Already dreaming of our next cruise!

🚢 My First-Ever Cruise… with MSC! 💙🌊
I used to think I wasn’t a “cruise person”… until this trip changed everything.
Here’s what it’s actually like spending 3 days on the MSC cruise:
✨ Day 1 — Instant Vacation Mode
Checked in from the port, dropped bags in the cabin, grabbed a welcome cocktail, and boom — vacation ON.
Rooms? Bigger than I expected. Ocean views? Unreal.
🍽 Food = Dangerously Good
Buffet breakfast with sea views. Italian lunch. Steak dinner. Midnight pizza. Repeat.
And yes… I gained weight. Worth it.
🎭 Activities? You Won’t Be Bored.
Live performances, dance lessons, spa time, poolside naps, and random karaoke.
Also… I might have tried the waterslide 😅
🌅 Golden Hour at Sea > Anything Else
Sunsets hit different when there's nothing but ocean in front of you.
Would I cruise again? Absolutely.
Would I recommend MSC? 100% yes.
