Dubrovnik observation point
#GetDiscountNotRelyingOnLuck
Dubrovnik observation point is a viewpoint on Mount Srd near the old town of Dubrovnik. It is one of the must-see attractions when visiting this city. With a beautiful panoramic view of the old town, city walls, the Adriatic Sea and the islands, you will get beautiful photos when you go up to the viewpoint. To get there, we can take a cable car, which is the most convenient way to go up to the viewpoint. It takes about 4 minutes from the cable car station near the old town. A round-trip ticket for adults costs 27 euros. But we chose to drive up to the viewpoint. There is free parking at the top, but the road is quite narrow and there is two-way traffic. You have to drive very carefully.

Fort Lovrijenac Dubrovnik
Fort Lovrijenac, also known as the Lawrence Fortress, is built on a massive rock rising from the sea, making it a perfect blend of natural beauty and human craftsmanship. Strategically located at the most important western point of Dubrovnik, it served as a defense against both land and sea attacks. For fans of the Game of Thrones series, this fortress is the filming location for the Red Keep in King's Landing. Iconic scenes, such as the tournament during King Joffrey's celebration, were shot here.
Dubrovnik City Walls
#GetDiscountNotRelyingOnLuck
Dubrovnik City Walls Walking the Dubrovnik City Walls is the most “must-do” activity when visiting this city. Because you will get a beautiful panoramic view of Dubrovnik Old Town in 360 degrees, the unique orange brick roofs, the blue Adriatic Sea, various fortresses that are still in excellent condition, and locations from the Game of Thrones series such as King's Landing. We can choose to walk up the western city gate, Pile Gate (or Ploce gate). When entering, on the left, you will see a steep staircase leading to Minceta Tower, which is the point where you can walk up the city wall. On the wall, you have to walk one way, counterclockwise. And you can't go up and down. If you go down and want to go up again, you have to buy a new ticket. One round trip is about 2 km.

Dubrovnik City Walls
#postandearn
No visit to Dubrovnik is complete without a walk around the spectacular city walls that encircle its historic core. They're among the finest in the world and are the city's defining feature. From the top, the view over the old town and the shimmering Adriatic is sublime. From the sea, the juxtaposition of pinkish-grey stone and azure waters is mesmerizing, while from above the tight maze of church steeples and terracotta roofs is the setting for a fairy tale – or, at the very least, some Game of Thrones episodes.
Tickets can be bought at the entrance, but you will skip the line if you buy online in advance. I would recommend buying the Dubrovnik Pass online which gives you free entrances to the city walls, museums and galleries of Dubrovnik and public transportation.
To reduce congestion, you're required to walk the walls in an anticlockwise direction. At busy times it can resemble a sweaty, slow-moving conga line. Don't underestimate how strenuous the wall walk can be, especially on a hot day. There's very little shelter and the few vendors selling water on the route tend to overcharge. Don't let that put you off: the views over the old town and the Adriatic are worth any frustration resulting from a busy period.
🕰️Business Hours: 8.30am to 6.30pm during summer times.

The pharmacy in the Francis Franciscan monastery in Dubrovnik it’s simply wonderful it dates from 1317 and is the oldest still functioning pharmacy in Europe and the third oldest in the entire world. The monastery itself is also very nice to explore and dates from 1360. The original church associated with the monastery was destroyed by an earthquake in 1667 but was really built soon after.

Bracing the Bastions
Dubrovnik city walls are truly impressive. The existing city walls were constructed mainly during the 13th to 17th centuries and the walls run uninterrupted for almost 2000 metres encircling most of the old city, something very remarkable! Tickets to walk around the city wars cost €15 and includes entry to Fort Lovrjenac. Well it’s true you can walk round most of the city walls from inside and outside the town without having to pay the tickets I would still recommend paying to walk around the actual walls. The views you get over the old town and the surrounding countryside alone make it worth it.

Delightful Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik has massive tourist appeal and is full of tourists for almost all of the year, however it’s one of those places you really have to visit at least once in your life. The large 13th century old town containing very well preserved buildings surrounded by massive stone fortifications are a delight to behold. There is a direct bus departing from Dubrovnik Airport bus station going to Dubrovnik old town. It operates every day and takes approximately 30 minutes however services depart only five times a day.

Best wall in Europe?
There's something about a city surrounded by a wall that we all love right.
Dubrovnik trumps the lot!
We got there early to avoid the heat and the crowds. We were treated to stunning views over the old town in one direction and crystal blue waters the other.
Make sure to grab a coffee or snack from Milna (Croatian Greggs) before heading up and take the extra time at the view points. i
It's worth it!

Step Back in Time in Dubrovnik’s Ancient Walled City
#ancienttown
Dubrovnik, Croatia, is famous for its remarkably preserved medieval walls and ancient streets. This coastal town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers stunning views of the Adriatic Sea and centuries-old architecture. Stroll along the Stradun, the main thoroughfare, or walk the city walls for breathtaking panoramic views. The town’s medieval and Renaissance buildings, such as the Rector’s Palace and Dubrovnik Cathedral, make it a living museum. The best time to visit is during the shoulder seasons of spring and autumn, when the weather is warm but the crowds are smaller.

Walking in Dubrovnik 🇭🇷
#summerdestinations
I recently spent a day walking through Dubrovnik, and it was absolutely magical! Strolling along the ancient city walls was a highlight. The entrance fee to walk the walls is around €30, and the panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea and the red-tiled rooftops of the Old Town were breathtaking.
Afterward, I explored the charming streets of the Old Town, filled with historic buildings, quaint shops, and cozy cafes. I also took some time to relax at Banje Beach, just a short walk away, where I enjoyed stunning views and clear waters.
Dubrovnik’s blend of history, stunning architecture, and coastal beauty made for an unforgettable day. 🌅🏛️ #trip #Dubrovnik #CityWalls #HistoricWalk #AdriaticViews #CroatianCharm
A pricey family getaway
#familytravel
I think Dubrovnik coupled with some more of Croatia can make for a very nice Family travel.
Between my last trip to Dubrovnik almost a decade ago and then a family trip earlier this year. A lot has happened. The prices have shot up unreasonably. So much for enjoying GOT. While it is not longer an affordable backpacker destination.
There are better options in Croatia for that. But for shorter holidays like the ones you go with family. It might still be doable. As you still get to enjoy all that Dubrovnik offers. Dubrovnik is one of the most popular walled cities in the world. Personally i rate it high on my list of mediaeval destinations.
I like that Dubrovnik seems spotlessly clean, not only in the old town. But also in the modern parts. I also like the fact the way the new houses integrate perfectly into the landscape - there are no horrible, concrete blocks and heavy architecture known in post-communist states.
The size of Dubrovnik also works to its advantage. It's just perfect, small enough if you want to see its beautiful old town in one day by just walking around. And big enough if you want more and like to be active. You can hike the Sdr hill - we took the cable car one way up and then walked down, this way we could admire the absolutely amazing, bird's eye view over the old town as well as many islands surrounded by the crystal clear, azure Adriatic sea.
The sun, the weather and the beaches! Dubrovnik has an amazing, Mediterranean climate which guarantees a lot of sunny days throughout the year. The crystal clear waters and the beaches are also beautiful - especially contrasting with the view of the spectacular walls of the old town.

Dubrovnik Croatia 🇭🇷
#thingstodo
Dubrovnik is one of my favourite cities in Europe and this city has a special place in my heart for real. I really liked the ocean view and that incredible blue sea colour just made me feel delightful when I first saw it. Having the cable car on the top of the mountain in Dubrovnik is really convenient and you can see the gorgeous view over there. Moreover, taking the ferry to another island in Dubrovnik such as Lokrum island.

Dubrovnik Trip Croatia 🇭🇷
#thingstodo
Dubrovnik is a stunning coastal city located in Croatia, which is also a popular tourist destination for summer holiday. In the last summer, I have been Dubrovnik to explore and travelling around in this city. The old town, the island have impressed me a lot with the gorgeous ocean view and the sea colour is really satisfying when I looked at them. I have also taken the Dubrovnik boat to another small island next to Dubrovnik. The beach over there is incredible clean and overall I really liked this trip.

A Tour of King’s Landing@Dubrovnik, Croatia
A fan of Game Of Thrones? Then we are speaking on the same page. This city is considered one of the best recognizable filming locations for the Game of Thrones series.
On historical lessons, visitors can sign up for this old town walking tour to learn from the local guide about Dubrovnik’s history at the same time admiring the fascinating landmarks inside the medieval walls (which is what I did☺️).

City wall and the Adriatic Sea in Dubrovnik 🇭🇷
#fallingseason
There’s two things in Dubrovnik you have to experience! One attractions in there is the city wall, which is a well preserved castle that surrounds the historic old town of Dubrovnik. The earliest stone walls were built in the 8th century and now become the most iconic features of the city !
When I first come to visit Dubrovnik, it made me feel impressive how the architectures be like that and it is also unique that there’s a wall surrounding the city. It’s just like protecting ! So if you are a history lover, come and I am sure it won’t let you feel disappointed.
Moreover, the Adriatic Sea in Croatia is absolutely pretty as the colour is pure blue and that make you easily jump into the water and get chill!

[Croatia] Dubrovnik Old Town
Dubrovnik, known as the pearl of the Adriatic
The place I wanted to visit the most during my trip to Central Europe 🚶♀️
The view from Mount Srd was spectacular ⛰️

It's just fun to walk around the alleys, so I recommend taking plenty of time to go

Banje Beach, Dubrovnik 🏖️
#beachvacation
Banje Beach in Dubrovnik, Croatia, is a picturesque coastal gem that's hard to forget. Nestled just steps away from the historic Old Town, it offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural charm. The beach boasts soft pebbles and crystal-clear Adriatic waters, creating an inviting atmosphere for sunbathing and swimming.
What makes Banje Beach truly special is its proximity to Dubrovnik's city walls and the view of the iconic Old Town, making it a remarkable backdrop for relaxation. During my visit, I relished in the beachfront lounges and the excellent seafood served at the beachside restaurant.
Banje Beach perfectly combines the beauty of the Adriatic with the rich history of Dubrovnik. It's an ideal destination for travelers seeking a beach escape intertwined with cultural exploration in this enchanting Croatian city. #ukcreator #croatia #dubrovnik

Dubrovnik a three day trip
Getting There - The transport is harder to get a hang of if relying on phone however we found that split between two, Ubers we’re quick, reliable and cheap.
Attractions - the walls and main fort were gorgeous however you have to pay for both so be aware! If you’ve paid for one the next is discounted though.
Hotels - we stayed outside of old town Dubrovnik in Plat at Villa Dubravka and loved every second. It was clean, a massive apartment and had incredible views.
Food & Restaurants - the food was moderately priced, similar to most high tourist cities. Food is phenomenal though! Amazing pizza and the pastry’s were divine.
Shopping - tourist shops are everywhere, they have a good array however finding shops for grocery food is not so easy. #familytravel #couplestrip #deliciousfood #mytripvlog #tripblazers #summervacation #beachlife #dubrovnik #croatia
Dubrovnik - a Balkan Paradise
Dubrovnik is famous for being the location of Games of Thrones, but it's so much more than that. Dubrovnik Old Town is staggeringly beautiful with imposing towers, picturesque streets and a stunning view of the Adriatic Sea.
The tourist traffic can be overwhelming during the summertime. I went there last April and the crowds were manageable.
Food is expensive inside the Old Town (about 20euro per meal, ugh) but there are cheap eats when you venture out of the tourist hotspots.
Go visit!#dubrovnik
Getting There - you can join a cruise or fly into Dubrovnik. You can also travel overland from nearby countries (Bosnia & Herzegovina and Montenegro)
Attractions - The lovely Stradun, Old City Walls and the resorts in Lapad
Hotels - accommodations are kinda pricey
Food & Restaurants - food is also expensive, but there are plenty of options. Have a gelato and pizza
Shopping - The souvenirs inside Okd Town are frightfully expensive
