The Cascade Complex in Yerevan is a masterpiece of architecture and art. This massive staircase is filled with modern sculptures, fountains, and green spaces, making the climb up feel more like a gallery tour. At the top, the view of Yerevan with Mount Ararat in the distance is absolutely breathtaking. I took my time exploring each level, snapping photos, and enjoying the vibrant energy of the place. History through Chronicle of Georgia
#getgoing2025
The Chronicle of Georgia feels like stepping into an open-air museum of epic proportions. These towering stone pillars, adorned with intricate carvings, tell the story of Georgia’s history and Christianity. I wandered around, amazed at the scale and detail of the sculptures. The location, perched on a hill, offers breathtaking views of Tbilisi and the surrounding landscape. It’s a bit off the beaten path, but totally worth the visit for its mix of history, art, and stunning scenery.

Mother of Georgia: Watching Over Tbilisi
#getgoing2025
The Mother of Georgia statue is one of the most iconic symbols of Tbilisi. Standing tall on a hill, she holds a sword in one hand and a bowl of wine in the other—representing both defense and hospitality. I hiked up to the base and was rewarded with amazing views of the city below. The statue itself is impressive, but the symbolism behind it really struck me. It’s a reminder of Georgia’s proud and welcoming spirit.

IN VALOR THERE IS HOPE
"Tugu Negara," or the National Monument, is a prominent landmark in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was built to honor the fallen soldiers who fought for Malaysia's independence. The monument features a bronze sculpture of a group of soldiers and symbolizes the country's struggle for freedom and the sacrifices made by its military.
Getting There - It is about 4.0KM and approximately 6 minutes of driving from KL Sentral.
Attractions - Located in the City of Kuala Lumpur, the statue has earned its place in the book of records as the tallest freestanding group of bronze sculpture.
Hotels - I would recommend travellers to stay at Pacific Express Hotel which is only 2.8KM and 7 minutes of driving from the statue location.
Food & Restaurants - There’s no restaurants around the monument area. But you can go to Pasar Seni town for food hunting.
Shopping - There’s a shopping mall nearby called Sogo Mall.

Effortlessly Romantic
You know that feeling, when something constantly lingers around you. It's in your head but you cannot pin point. Well, it can be many things and it could also mean that you are going nuts. However, if that happens to you in Paris. The thing most likely is a sense of romance and Paris is what you are to blame. The place is worth all the hype.
You're likely to have more unpleasant experiences than the pleasant ones. Yet, Paris was and will remain romantic. Okay and you could certainly pinpoint to parisians for certain experiences. Upon, half a dozen visits and in retrospect. Have i always had good experiences? Nope and you too ought to prepare for pickpockets, scams and just lot of unnecessary bother around major tourist spots. Occasionally, rude behaviour too.
But hey, that is nothing new. The Eiffel, the Louvre and whatever works for you will overshadow those experiences in a moment and leave you with a life long something to remember. The food, the sights, the air, the yourself being in Paris....it's an extraordinary feeling. You have to be here to understand what I'm saying. For this is a place you cannot not visit during this lifetime. That's my time. #paris #monument #cafe #europe #summer #vacation #restaurant #women #explore #singapore
🇵🇹Lisbon Free Travel - Monument to the Discoveries🇵🇹
#monument #LisbonTravel #Lisbon #PortugalTravel #PortugalTravel
During my trip to Portugal, I toured the Belem district in Lisbon. There are many tourist landmarks, statues, and observatories along the coast, so it seems like a great place to hang out!
Belem district is closer to nature than Lisbon Old Town, so it's nice to just sit and relax! I stopped by the 'Monument to the Discoveries' while I was walking around. I wanted to see the observatory, so I went up! The ticket was 10€ per adult.
The observatory is narrow, but I liked it because I could see the Lisbon canals at a glance!

🇵🇹 Monument to the Discoveries in Belem, Lisbon
Monument to the Discoveries stands on the northern bank of the Tagus river estuary in Belém, Lisbon. Originally built as a temporary statue in 1940 for the Portuguese World Exhibition, the monument was rebuilt in 1960 to commemorate the 500 years death anniversary of Prince Henry the Navigator. The statues of Henry the Navigator and 32 other figures from the history of the Discoveries are erected outside the monument.
The monument is definitely worth a visit if you are interested in the history and changing landscape in Lisbon. An adult entrance ticket costs €10.00 which includes access to the viewpoint and museum. To access the viewpoint we had to take the lift to the top floor and from there climb a few flights of stairs to reach the observation deck. The observation deck offers spectacular views over the Tagus estuary and skyline of Lisbon. The museum at the basement houses exhibition to showcase how the landscape in Lisbon changed over the years.

The Sanctuary of Christ the King is a Catholic monument and shrine located in Almada, the southern bank of Tagus River in Lisbon. The Catholic statue was inspired by the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The monument was built after World War II and inaugurated in 1959.
This is probably the best place in Lisbon which offers stunning views of the 25 April Bridge which connects the city of Lisbon and Almada. The entrance ticket costs 8€ and allows you to take the lift to the top floor. From there you still have to climb a few flights of stairs to reach the observation deck where the statue of Jesus Christ is built. The Independence Monument in Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia, was built in 1958 to memorialise Cambodia's independence from France in 1953. It stands on a roundabout in the intersection of Norodom Boulevard and Sihanouk Boulevard in the centre of the city.
It is in the form of a lotus-shaped stupa, and stands at 37m tall. The Independence Monument was designed by the Cambodian architect Vann Molyvann.

Serenade of the Square: Watching Life Unfold
Vilnius Cathedral, situated in Lithuania's capital city, has a rich history that dates back to the 14th century. Originally constructed as a Gothic-style church, it underwent several reconstructions and additions over the centuries, resulting in its Baroque appearance today. The cathedral has played a significant role in Lithuanian history, hosting coronations, funerals, and various religious ceremonies. It remains an iconic symbol of cultural and religious heritage in Vilnius.
Amidst Vilnius Cathedral's timeless grace,
I find a seat, a peaceful space,
Bathed in the warmth of the afternoon sun,
Watching life's symphony, moments spun.
People pass by, their stories unfold,
In this vibrant square, hearts are consoled,
Laughter and chatter, a lively dance,
I savor each moment, this charming trance.

The Iconic Eiffel Tower Of Paris
#2023travelwish #paris #eiffeltower #europe #iconic #monument
Everyone has definitely heard of the marvous iconic Eiffel Tower of Paris where its mostly talked about and popular attraction among tourists due to its towering height and I believe on of the tallest monument in the city.
The Eiffel Tower may look gorgeous and marvellous from afar where you will also see movies featuring this monument, but upclose it is actually quite ugly, where its all rusty metal. It's built in the 1800s by a French engineer, and it's somewhat amazing to see how such towering structure can be erected without the modern machineries.
Also, for those who wish to go up to the top of the tower, you be able to as there are lift to bring you up to the tower where you be able to get a bird eye view of the Paris city, but of course there is a entrance fee required where you can get it on site or online.
Paris is a country where I've been there several years back, I would be a dream if I've a chance again to fly back to see Paris again, especially all the other beautiful monuments
