🛳️ Spectrum of the Seas – June 19 Sailing Recap!
Just got back from our cruise and I have to say—cruising is the perfect vacation for low-energy people like me 😅
You sleep in, stroll out of your room, eat, wander around, rest, repeat… and still somehow hit 12,000+ steps a day! 😂
🍽️ The food wasn’t nearly as bad as people claim online. In fact, some dishes were quite good! But… let’s be honest, the desserts in the Main Dining Room were a bit of a letdown. My friend makes a better tiramisu at home 🤭
👟 After meals, I always headed to the Sports Zone for a walk. A few days of archery practice and I now feel like a pro (or at least a confident amateur 😆).
Bumper cars were super popular, but the line moved fast—we only waited about 20 minutes with my mum!
🚿 Pro tip: Please, please bring your own shower head and water filter.
Overall? Fun, relaxing, and just the right amount of active. A great cruise for families, chill travelers, and anyone who just wants to float through their holiday 💙

🎉 Took my parents on their very first cruise
After three years of talking about it… we finally made it happen! 🚢💙
As the “always-worrying” child in the family, I expected to do a lot of prep work. But honestly? This trip was effortless 💯
We sailed on MSC Bellissima — and my parents were totally blown away by how smooth and thoughtful everything was.
✨ No visa stress — visa-free boarding made departure so easy.
✨ Chinese-speaking staff were available everywhere on board, so my parents felt confident and at ease the entire time.
✨ Menus, programs, announcements — all had Chinese options. No language barrier at all!
🍽️ Dining? Way beyond expectations.
They promised 50% Chinese meals — and they delivered.
From roasted pigeon and lobster noodles to tender short ribs, my parents gave every dish a 5-star review.
The buffet was open nearly 20 hours a day — my dad even had a hot bowl of chicken noodle soup at midnight 😌
📸 Other highlights we loved:
✔️ The Swarovski crystal staircase — absolutely breathtaking. Took a ton of family photos there.
✔️ The 80-meter LED dome on the promenade — stunning scenes of misty Jiangnan scrolling overhead.
✔️ Karaoke lounge at sunset — a hit with all the aunties and uncles on board 🎤
✔️ London Theatre shows — beautiful lighting, costumes, and performances that truly felt Broadway-level. (Make sure to book seats early!)
No complicated planning, no rushing around — everything was included and well-arranged.
My parents said this was the most relaxing trip they’ve ever taken.
And for me? Knowing they were happy and comfortable made it even better ❤️
MSC Bellissima, you did not disappoint.
This was the kind of journey we’ll talk about for years to come.

🚢Sneak Peek: Inside Celebrity Cruises' Millennium
Thinking about sailing with Celebrity Cruises but not sure what to expect? We didn’t get to try the Celebrity Edge just yet — but one of our teammates recently sailed on the Celebrity Millennium, and here’s a quick peek at what it’s really like onboard! 📸
✨ First impression? It’s all about relaxed luxury:
✔️ Fewer passengers = no queues for food, shows, or pools
✔️ Super friendly international crew — attentive and welcoming
✔️ Dining is a strong highlight — not Michelin, but honestly better than most cruises from this region
✔️ Entertainment includes Broadway-style shows, hot tubs, chic bars, and even a basketball court! 🏀
It’s a ship where you can truly slow down, enjoy the sea breeze, and indulge without the crowd. Whether you're lounging poolside or sipping wine in a cozy lounge, the whole vibe is elegant but easy-going.

🛳️ Why I Chose to Sail on Spectrum of the Seas Again
As someone who’s always loved the ocean, waking up to a different sea view every morning is pure magic. The color, the depth, the serenity—there’s something incredibly romantic and healing about it. 💙
Originally, I planned to try MSC Bellissima this time (I heard the food is even better!), but its China sailings only start in July—and I didn’t want to wait that long.
🍽️ My top pick on Spectrum? The Coastal Kitchen.
I had all three meals there during this sailing. It’s less crowded, the dishes are beautifully plated, and the grilled salmon surprisingly became my favorite. The freshly brewed coffee is excellent too!
From what I saw in passenger chats, most of the Main Dining Room dishes are also available at Coastal Kitchen’s buffet section—especially the Chinese options, which I love hunting down there.
🗺️ Best itinerary recommendation? Jeju–Nagasaki.
It’s convenient, unique, and the trip duration is just right.
This time I tried the Kumamoto–Kagoshima route
💃🏻 As for onboard shows—well, they’re okay. You could probably catch better performances on land, but hey, you’re on a ship! I also tried a facial at the wellness center… wouldn’t recommend. 😬
But when it comes to food and fun, Spectrum of the Seas still delivers. For cruises departing from China, it’s truly one of the best options available!
⭐ Will I sail again? Absolutely. Overall experience? Still great.

First Time on MSC Seashore
I thought I was just signing up for a cruise.
I didn’t expect to find…
🍝 Italian cuisine at sea that tasted better than some I’ve had in Rome
🌅 Sunset views so cinematic, I stopped scrolling for hours
🛏️ A cabin that opened onto endless ocean – morning coffee just hit different
💃 Nightlife that never felt cheesy: DJs, live bands, and rooftop vibes
🧖♀️ A spa with a view of the waves (yes, seriously)
It’s not just about where you’re going —
It’s how it feels to wake up with no plan but to enjoy.
Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with family…
MSC Seashore had something that made us all slow down and smile.
🎬 This video? Just a glimpse.
The real magic starts when you step on board.
