In one corner of the pedestrianized street, colorfully lit buildings reminiscent of ancient China are gathered, and the space is packed with gourmet food shops selling #xiaolongbao and sweets, as well as souvenir shops. There were also many girls walking around in #Hanfu. There are other tourist spots around Yuyuan, such as #NewWorld and #TheBund, so I recommend stopping by there on your night out in Shanghai! 🚃Access: 80 minutes by train from #PudongInternational Airport, 50 minutes by train from #HongqiaoAirport. Google Maps doesn't work in China, so I recommend downloading Baidu Maps beforehand❗️(It's only in Chinese, but you can get the gist of how easy it is to use👌) 🗺️Recommended route: 1️⃣Eat around Yuyuan, buy souvenirs, take photos🤳 In #Yuyuan Old Street, you'll find #smallloafbao shop "#Nanxiang Mantou Shop", which is popular among Japanese people, anime goods shops, and traditional Chinese confectionery shops. There are also souvenir shops and restaurants lined up outside #Yuyuan. 2️⃣Walk towards the river (#Huangpu River) to the Bund Financial Centre, where the #thomasheatherwick building is located. This area is a shopping mall where you can see exhibitions, eat, shop, and more all in one place. 3️⃣Walk along the river while looking at the architecture Across the street from the Bund Financial Centre, the Huangpu River is wide and easy to walk along. 4️⃣Walking to the #Bund while enjoying the #nightview of Shanghai As you walk, you will see the #ShanghaiTower (Oriental Pearl TV Tower), the symbol of Shanghai's night view. If you walk along the river to the Bund, you can see a lot of tulips blooming in spring. 🌷 The Yuyuan area is a place where you can enjoy Shanghai's highlights all at once, just by taking a walk while enjoying the cityscape. It's been a while, but it's my third time here♡ First floor of Edition Hotel on Nanjing East Road 📍 Shanghai Tavern Western Restaurant This is my first time here since COVID-19, so it's been a long time since I've been here, and it's a bit more casual. Before, it was a very delicate and beautiful course, a little pricey, but now it's a semi-self-help lunch set where you can choose only the main course 181 RMB. (weekday) It seems like the public ticket is a good deal because it comes with coffee. The buffet is as you can see in the video, there's a fairly good selection of sweets, and the bread is made in the hotel. There's more fruit and drinks than a simple afternoon tea, so it might be a good deal. The main grilled pork was a little fatty, but it was soft and the garnish was delicious. I think I'll try the fish next time♡ The price is kept down, the menu is casual, but the hotel dining atmosphere is still intact. I love it after all. When you come to Shanghai, the Bund is of course a must-see attraction, but to be honest... I have never seen so many people! There were so many people that I couldn’t even see the people in the first three rows or more. It was like they were there to participate in the New Year’s Eve countdown! However, this trip to the Bund not only amazed me with the beautiful scenery, but I also didn’t expect that the food here is top-notch and not inferior to other famous restaurants in Shanghai! To be honest, I didn’t have high expectations for eating at The Bund, but when I ate the yellow croaker noodles here, I was completely stunned! This bowl of noodles looks ordinary, even a little inconspicuous, but once you put it in your mouth you will instantly understand that this is what true deliciousness is! The soup is rich and sweet, with the aroma of yellow croaker perfectly blended in. The noodles are fully absorbed by the soup, and every bite is so satisfying that you can't help but eat one bite after another. And then...the crab roe soup dumplings here are simply divine! I dare say this is the most delicious soup dumplings I have ever eaten in my life, nothing else can compare to it. The rich and delicious crab roe, paired with the thin and tender skin, will make you want to cry when you bite into it. I highly recommend it! After eating, the shopping mall next door is also worth visiting. The most special thing about it is that there is an arc-shaped rotating escalator inside. The moment you get on it, it feels really special, like a sci-fi feeling. You must try it when you come! There are also many Shanghai specialty snacks here, such as Shanghai old yogurt, which tastes quite similar to ordinary yogurt, but its glass bottle is super suitable for taking pictures, and it really has a retro feel! If you want to buy souvenirs, there are many good shops in the Bund area. There are all kinds of exquisite cakes, special teas, and Shanghai-style dim sum, which are all very suitable as gifts. It is not impolite to give them to others, and they are also great to eat yourself! Conclusion: Although it was packed with people, the scenery and food were extremely satisfying! Although the Bund was incredibly crowded and the scenery was amazing, what surprised me most was the food here, especially the yellow croaker noodles and crab roe soup dumplings, which were so delicious that I can't describe it! You might take photos of it from different location like Zhongshan road, Nanjing Road or from Waibaidu Bridge. I bought a ticket to get a night cruise during 1 hour on Huangpu river and it was a worth spending to say the least.
