The food presentation is very appealing and definitely catches the eye. We also appreciated that plain water was provided, which is a thoughtful touch for those who prefer non-sweet beverages. Tastewise, the flavors are enjoyable and well-balanced. However, I feel the price is slightly on the higher side considering the portion size, which is smaller than expected. Overall, The food is beautifully presented, like the vibrant pasta dish topped with a raw egg yolk and colorful garnishes, and the drinks are equally impressive. Over the years this has become one of my favourite cafes and hangouts in jakarta. On a recent visit, we savored their full breakfast, a perfect harmony of sourdough, creamy scrambled eggs,homemade bacon, hearty sausage, and their signature harissa that elevated every bite. The menu continues to be engaging with so much to choose from. But I personally consider their breakfast sets to be the highlight. You must visit Lucky Cat Coffee & Kitchen in Jakarta! It's this Instagrammable café in a colonial-style house with white-brick walls. With its minimalist look - imagine rustic wood and lofty ceilings with a glass roof allowing in loads of sunshine - the feeling is on another level. In contrast to the outside, the cafe's hanging plants and the huge old tree in the center give off abandoned building vibes. It's very stunning and exudes a relaxed feel. If you enjoy coffee, this is a must-see. Really one-of-a-kind and absolutely amazing! We ordered their coffee and their basque burnt cheesecake. I went to Kawisari Cafe & Eatery, and traditional recipes from the Kawisari villagers inspired their food. The place is housed in this cool old Dutch colonial building that's all white and two stories high. The interior is so Indonesian, with wooden chairs covered in cute pastel cushions, rustic wooden tables, and huge paintings depicting the life of coffee farmers in Kawisari. The dining area is open-air and nothing like your typical cafes around here. The decor is on point! 🙌 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Since I already had a big breakfast earlier, I ordered a light snack - Serabi Mak Mak, which is a Javanese Pancake. I tried the Original and Cheddar Cheese flavors. The cheddar cheese one was my favorite. Even though it was loaded with cheese, you could still taste the original pancake flavor, which was so good. The pancake had a soft texture with a crispy base. I also tried the Cascara Kurma, coffee cherry tea infused with fresh kurma. The tea had this herbaceous taste with subtle hints of cherry. The food options are really good. I would come back for the smoked duck carbonara & salted egg soft shell crab pasta. But beware these are Indonesian versions of dishes. They don't taste authentic but changes have been made to suit local taste buds sometimes a little sweet which the local halal crowd seems to enjoy. Everything are also beautifully presented. The atmosphere was a bit dim. However, It's really a good spot to catch up with friends at night since they close at 12 am. The food was delicious. In terms of pricing, it was similar to other cafes in this vicinity. Although if you ask me none of the places deserve the prices they demand. We originally planned to have waffles, but they weren't available. I ordered a plate of mushroom aglio olio, grilled lamb chop, tiramisu, and three drinks.
