KLCC Petronas Twin Towers
Petronas Towers (English: Petronas Towers; Malay: Menara Berkembar Petronas) are iconic twin skyscrapers with 88 floors located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Standing at a height of 451.9 meters (1,483 feet), these towers were once the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2003, until Taipei 101 surpassed them upon its completion in 2004. The Petronas Towers remain the tallest twin skyscrapers globally and were the tallest buildings in Malaysia until The Exchange 106 overtook them in 2019. These towers are a significant landmark in Kuala Lumpur, alongside the Kuala Lumpur Tower and Merdeka 118, and are visible from various parts of the city.

Travel Tips for Exploring Kuala Lumpur: KLCC, TRX Exchange 106, KL Tower, Merdeka 118 & Pudu Ulu Park
Kuala Lumpur (KL) is a vibrant metropolis where modern skyscrapers meet rich cultural heritage. Whether it’s your first visit or a return trip, here are some handy travel tips to make the most of your experience, especially around the city’s iconic towers and parks.
⸻
1. KLCC (Kuala Lumpur City Centre)
• What to See: Petronas Twin Towers (tallest twin towers in the world), Suria KLCC mall, KLCC Park, and the Symphony Lake fountains.
• Travel Tip: Visit the Petronas Towers in the late afternoon and stay until nightfall to catch the fountain light show (usually around 8pm). The view from the Skybridge is worth booking in advance.
• Photography Tip: For the best photos, head to the KLCC Park area — you’ll get wide shots with palm trees in the frame and fewer crowds early in the morning.
⸻
2. TRX Exchange 106
• What to See: One of the tallest buildings in Southeast Asia, Exchange 106 is the centerpiece of the new financial district — The Exchange TRX.
• Travel Tip: Visit The Exchange TRX Mall for upscale shopping and dining, and explore the rooftop park known as The Exchange TRX Park — it offers fantastic skyline views with KLCC and TRX in the frame.
• Best Time: Sunset or twilight for golden hour shots with KL’s skyline glowing in the background.
⸻
3. KL Tower (Menara Kuala Lumpur)
• What to See: Observation deck, Sky Deck, and the revolving Atmosphere 360 restaurant.
• Travel Tip: Go for the Sky Deck instead of the indoor viewing platform — the open-air views are unbeatable. On clear days, you’ll even catch a glimpse of the distant Genting Highlands.
• Fun Fact: It’s actually taller than Petronas Towers in terms of elevation since it’s built on a hill (Bukit Nanas).
⸻
4. Merdeka 118 (Viewpoint Only)
• What to See: Currently not fully open to the public, but this architectural marvel — the second tallest building in the world — dominates KL’s skyline.
• Viewpoint Tip: The best views of Merdeka 118 can be seen from Pudu Ulu Park or even certain angles in the Kampung Attap or Jalan Loke Yew areas.
• Photography Tip: Use a zoom lens or drone (if permitted) for architectural shots — the diamond-shaped spire stands out beautifully during sunrise.
⸻
5. Pudu Ulu Park (Taman Rekreasi Pudu Ulu)
• What to See: A serene urban park with jogging tracks, shaded trees, and a local vibe — less touristy, perfect for an early morning walk or jog.
• Hidden Gem: This is one of the best off-the-beaten-path spots to view Merdeka 118 from afar, especially around sunrise or golden hour.
Beneath the Towers, a Park That Reads You Back
#kualalumpurtrip #klcc #park #beautiful_malaysia
I brought a book. KLCC Park handed me a story.
Between the landscaped walkways, thoughtful plant signage, and cooling fountains-turned-wading-pools, it felt like the park was quietly curated for both movement and meaning. It’s not just beauty—it’s intention. Even the children splashing barefoot in the shallow water are part of the design, encouraged to connect with the space. I leaned against a tree, reading, but every page turned slower. Because this park doesn’t rush you—it reads your pace and walks with you.

📍Red-eye flight arrived in Kuala Lumpur at 6:00 am
Start playing right away (no day is wasted!
Since we arrived very early, we suggest you take a taxi to the city.
Faster than the Airport Express when there is no traffic jam
Is the cost much more expensive (for 1 person)?
🌟It is definitely more cost-effective to take a taxi if there are more than two people! ! !
(The electronic passport was not accepted at the immigration checkpoint on the day, and the queue for the manual customs immigration check took an hour...)
🌟Kuala Lumpur Airport is super big~~
There are a lot of delicious food and many shops open early in the morning! !
📍He Jiu Hainanese Restaurant
Foreign tourists and locals love it! !
Although I really don't want more and more people to line up
But still share
I will definitely go back for a second visit if I have the chance! ! !
🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻Kaya toast + half-boiled egg is absolutely amazing! ! ! !
📍Ghost Alley
Next to it is Guizai Lane
Very suitable for taking photos
(It took about 30 minutes to shoot)
Walk for about 5-10 minutes 📍 to Petaling Street
This is where I sell some clothes, hats, accessories... all kinds of stuff.
But to be honest, these products are not very attractive.
But you can buy some snacks and fruits
Take a taxi to the super large department store 📍TRX
Recommend you to visit Malaysia's clothing brands
It looks great to wear, not expensive, and looks good in photos! !
There is also a place to exchange currency in the store.
Better exchange rate than at the airport!
Took a taxi to KLCC in the evening
Come before the sun sets! !
Super recommended! !
You can see the bright twin towers + night view at once!
🌟You can go to the supermarket downstairs of the department store to buy some food
Sit beside the musical fountain and enjoy the view while eating
The atmosphere is superb! !

KLCC: The Shining Heart of Kuala Lumpur's Skyline
#cityscape
On my recent trip to Kuala Lumpur, I couldn't miss visiting one of the city's most iconic landmarks—the Petronas Twin Towers. Standing tall and proud in the heart of the city, these towers never fail to leave a lasting impression. As I walked closer, I was in awe of their sheer height and the sleek, modern architecture.
The overcast sky added a dramatic touch to the whole scene, and the metallic shine of the towers reflected beautifully against the clouds. I stood there for a while, soaking in the view and the buzzing city life surrounding the towers. The nearby buildings added to the grandeur, but KLCC truly remains the centerpiece of the city skyline.
If you're ever in Kuala Lumpur, the view of the Petronas Towers from ground level is something you just can't miss. Whether you're into photography or just looking to appreciate the beauty of the city, KLCC offers a perfect mix of modernity and culture.

A stunning city centre park surrounded by iconic landmarks, KLCC Park
The Petronas Towers are probably Kuala Lumpur’s most recognisable landmark - and the KLCC park is the best place to view them from. The park is located at the bottom of the iconic towers and it’s honestly beautiful, it’s so rare to have such a big landscaped park right in the city center.
There are multiple entrances around the park and you can also enter via the KLCC mall, convention center and KLCC metro station.
There’s a big man made lake with fountains and plenty of seating around the area, the seats directly opposite the towers offer the best spot to get photos with the whole towers in.
There’s also really cute fountains dotted around the park with clean drinking water, something I’ve not seen before and it’s essential given how hot KL gets in the summer!
My advice is to get there early to avoid the heat and the crowds! It gets so busy! I got breakfast at a local cafe and then got an iced coffee to go as I explored the park.

The Iconic Beauty Of The Infamous Petronas Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur
The Petronas twin towers are one of the most recognisable landmarks in the world, and they’re even more beautiful up close! If you’re planning a trip to Kuala Lumpur you have to swing by to take a look, you won’t regret it!
The towers are anchored by the huge Suria KLCC mall which contains a metro stop in the basement , the easiest way to try to it. It’s also on bus routes and there are grab pick up and drop off locations nearby.
The towers are surrounded by built up city blocks and the huge KLCC park which offers the best views. It can get super busy and really hot, so I went there early in the morning to take it all in. There are so many great photo spots and there’s always someone about to help take photos if you’re alone.

Store Information
Store Name: Madam Kwan's Suria KLCC
Opening hours: 10:00-22:00
Address: Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Petronas Twin Tower, Lot 420 421, Kuala Lumpur City Centre, 50088 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
In the afternoon, I took advantage of the break in the hotel to check out restaurants to eat in the evening, and unexpectedly discovered Madam Kwan’s, which is very popular in Malaysia. I happened to be visiting Gemini Tower in the evening, so I came here for a pilgrimage. We arrived at the store at around 8 p.m. and the store was full of people. We were lucky enough to be seated directly after the waiter cleared the table. Later, I saw other bloggers saying that it is best to make an online reservation first, otherwise you will have to wait for a while when you arrive.
Because my wife wanted to eat noodles, we ordered shrimp and chicken noodle soup, fried rice noodles with curry chicken and two drinks. The waiter served the dishes shortly after we confirmed the order. The shrimp and chicken noodle soup tasted quite satisfactory. The noodles in the soup were the kind commonly used in Southeast Asia, which melted in the mouth as soon as they were eaten. The fried rice noodles were not heavily seasoned and tasted quite close to the Taiwanese taste. The curry of the curry chicken nuggets was very thick and a little spicy, and was more suitable for rice than noodles. As for the drinks, one cup was grass jelly ice and the other was black coffee, both of which were not bad.
Overall, the food taste and service attitude are good, but the price is a bit expensive for noodles. If you are more concerned about CP value, you may be more suitable for vendors or those sold in the morning market. I recommend it to those who want to try or experience famous stores. If you have the chance, go and try it.

. I particularly enjoyed sitting under the shade of a large tree, watching the stunning fountain in the center of the park. The gentle sound of the water and the cool breeze made it a perfect moment of relaxation, allowing me to fully appreciate the tranquility of this green space.
