Yunnan is called the 4 oldest cities in China. Langzhong has a history of 2,300 years. During the Warring States period, Langzhong was the capital of the Ba Kingdom. In 316 BC, the Ba kingdom was conquered by the Qin Kingdom, and in 314 BC, Langzhong County was founded. For more than 2000 years, it remained the most important center in northern Sichuan. During the Three Kingdoms period, the army of the Shu Kingdom settled here, and the legendary general Zhang Fei patrolled the city. His grave and memorial complex are also located here. During the Sui Dynasty, Langzhong was renamed Lannei, and during the Tang Dynasty, the name Langzhong was returned to it. Langzhong is famous for the birth of the culture of celebrating Spring Day. The author of the tradition is considered to be an ancient Chinese astronomer of the Western Han dynasty, the founder of the ancient Taichuli calendar, Luo Xiahong. The counting system adopted in Taichuli is still used in the Chinese lunar calendar. The layout of the streets of Langzhong, surrounded on three sides by water, with mountains on four sides, resembles a chessboard. Most of the old houses face north, their windows are decorated with ornaments of flowers, birds and animals. The architectural style of the city embodies the ancient Chinese concept of geomancy (Feng Shui) – "the unity of heaven and man." You can only move around the city on foot: private transport, buses and taxis are forbidden to travel in Lanzhong. The main attractions of the city are: The Huaguanlou Tower, built during the Tang Dynasty, is the oldest tower in the city. The entrance ticket costs 15 yuan. The examination yard served as the venue for provincial and metropolitan examinations under the Keju state examination system. Only three who successfully passed this exam received high government positions. The entrance ticket costs 35 yuan.

1. daigoji temple, The garden is nice and it's more than 2 minutes and you can get a lot of history there. When we arrived there was a lot of parking available and it is a paid parking lot. 2. fushimi inari taisha, I visited early in the morning when the sun light was just starting to come through the trees in the forest and it felt truly magical. There were many portions of the hike where I was completely alone or maybe with 1-2 other people for fairly long periods of time. 3. kodaiji temple, The temple tours are usually open until 10pm, but it's always a good idea to double-check the hours before your visit. Don't miss the enchanting bamboo forest trail, which becomes even more mesmerizing at night. 4. toji temple, The towering pagoda, standing as the tallest wooden tower in Japan, is a testament to ancient craftsmanship. Toji Temple offers a serene and enchanting experience that captures the essence of Kyoto's rich cultural heritage. 5. yasaka shrine, As darkness envelops the city, the shrine comes alive in a breathtaking display, illuminated by an alluring array of beautiful lanterns. Located just south of downtown Shanghai, China, is Longhua Temple. Known for it’s tall pagoda and rich history, this ancient temple has a history of more than 1700 years. In the temple complex there are six halls: Daxiong Hall, Maitreya Hall, Sutra Building, Sansheng Hall and Abbot’s room. Each has different varieties of Buddha statues and a special story. On the East and West side of the temple are Bell and Drum towers. Be prepared to pay extra to ring the bell! During the Lunar New Year, Longhua Temple hosts a bell ringing event to welcome the new year. It’s also common for visitors to put incense above their head to wish for luck for the new year 🧧 Although there is a long history, the temple itself has been destroyed and rebuilt many times. It was last destroyed during the Tang dynasty and rebuilt in the Northern Song Dynasty. It has been an important center of Thai Buddhism since its construction in the late 17th century and continues to be a popular tourist destination today. This temple was built in 1357 for the community of monks from the Pa Kaeo Sect and was originally called Wat Phra Chao Phya Tha. The temple was designed for meditation, which King U-Thong was engaged in along with the monks. In 1592, in honor of the victory over the Burmese, another king, Naresuan, built a majestic pagoda, after which the temple changed its name and became known as Wat Yai Chai Mongkon. There is a statue of a Reclining Buddha in orange robes. In addition to the Reclining Buddha, you can admire the statues of meditating Buddhas, also dressed in orange robes. It has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1991. The temple complex includes several buildings, including a large chedi (stupa), which towers over the site and contains numerous statues of Buddha, as well as other religious figures from various sects of Buddhism. The most impressive feature of Wat Yai Chai Mongkon Temple is the collection of statues depicting various aspects of the Buddha's life and teachings. #ancientbuildings The Statue Of the Reclining Buddha. Wat Lokayasuttha Temple (Wat Lokaya Sutha means "Temple on earth"). The city of Ayutthaya. Thailand. Ayutthaya was the capital of Siam from 1350 to 1767. It was ruled by 33 kings. The city was captured by Burmese troops and completely destroyed during the 15 years of occupation. The invaders did not spare a single temple, not a single palace, almost everything was razed to the ground. Now Ayutthaya is a huge number of ruins. Since 1991, UNESCO has included the ruins of the former capital of the Kingdom of Siam in the World Cultural Heritage List. Looking at the ruins, it is now difficult to imagine that three hundred and seventy-five temples, three royal palaces and twenty-nine forts were located in the center of Ayutthaya. Like many others, there is practically nothing left of the Wat Lokaya Sutha temple, except for an incomprehensibly surviving stone prang. It is amazing that a unique statue of the Reclining Buddha is well preserved next to the ruins of the temple. The statue is 42 meters long and 8 meters high, it is the second largest in Thailand after the reclining Buddha at Wat Po Temple in Bangkok. The statue is not painted. You can walk through the ruins of the temple and near the statue absolutely for free. There is a kiosk nearby where they sell lotus flowers for laying in front of the statue, but do not be surprised if you see that the Thais collect the flowers left by the Buddha and take them back for sale. Archaeologists have not been able to determine exactly when Wat Lokaya Suttha was built. It is only known that it was destroyed in 1767 during an attack on the city by the Burmese. The most interesting part of the temple that has survived to this day is the 42-meter reclining Buddha.

Angkor Wat has to be one of the most iconic landmarks in the world and it’s been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. I’m finally lucky enough to do it! I bought my one day ticket off trip.com, it recommend doing this to avoid queues at the ticket center. You will get contact details, send them information and a photo then they will send PDF ticket. Just show the tickets at the entrances, download the ticket Incase you don’t have service! I flew into Siam Reap then got a taxi to the visitor center, there I had a guide waiting for me. The complex itself is a vast collection of hundreds of temples, in various sizes and levels of decay. My driver took me to various places and gave me a brief history of each I would advise going early as it can get very busy and very hot! Some of the temples offer shade, however most are fully outdoor. I honestly couldn’t recommend this trip enough, however I would say do the 3 day ticket not the 1 day ticket. There is so much to see and do! #malaysiatrip With a history spanning the late 19th century, the Sultan Abdul Samad Building is unquestionably one of Malaysia's most notable and beloved heritage structures as well as a significant historical landmark. The building was named after the sultan of Selangor who was in power at the time it was inaugurated in 1897 and is located in Kuala Lumpur, directly across from Dataran Merdeka (Independence Square). If you love architecture, this is one of the best place you should visit. Getting There - It took about 6-15 minutes of driving (depending on the traffic flow) and approximately 2.7KM from KL Sentral. Attractions - Built with red bricks, the structure features three towers that define it's architecture. Tall white arches, a grand porch, curved colonnades, two domes and a commanding 41.2 meter clock tower to complete the building's visual appeal. Hotels - There are few hotels around the SAS building. Food & Restaurants - Many street food and restaurants can be found nearby this area. The entrance to the fortress is free, but if you want to join a guided tour, it costs about 100 NOK (around $10). Walking through the well-preserved walls and visiting the museums inside was a highlight.
