Or if you are lucky, you might be able to see the camels. I had a pleasant transit tour in Doha, Qatar. It is stunning, the vibes is out my expectations. I was lucky enough to witness the sunset here. The tour took around 3-4 hours, you can reach out to the desk at the airport, they can assist you with the Visa and immigration. Some can be exempt from visa applications. During my eleven hours layover in Doha, I had the chance to explore multiple places around this vibrant city. One of my favourite spots was the bustling Souq Waqif with its nice atmosphere, many traditional markets, local shops and delicious restaurants. The skyline was another highlight during my visit. If you are a sunset lover I recommend you to visit it during the golden hour. Despite the short time, I really enjoyed my time there. The city has a unique blend of culture and modernity. On the way from UAE back to Europe we didn’t miss the chance to get stopover for 24 hours in Doha, capital of Qatar We picked hotel in old city, near ancient market Souq Waqif is a beautifully re-created traditional marketplace in the center of Doha not far from the Corniche. The original souq which dated back to the 1800s was destroyed in a fire in 2003 but was rebuilt in 2006 and has an authentic look and feel. There are shops inside and out selling clothing, jewelry, spices, animals and crafts. It is a great place to pick up a souvenir. I enjoyed this so much more than the grittier souq in Dubai where the vendors were aggressive and annoying. Minimal pressure in the Souq Waqif. This is also a great area to have a meal with many different restaurants to choose from. It's a vibrant place and even more enjoyable after dark#doha

I had a long layover in Doha, Qatar and decided to visit the fairly new Raffles Doha hotel. I was mind blown by its immense beauty and regal atmosphere. I’ve been to several beautiful hotels but none of them compare to how stunning this one is. The staff is outstanding! Although I was only visiting for dinner, they still treated me like I was a guest staying at their hotel. One of the staff members, Hajar, gave me a tour of the hotel and even took pictures of me in the gorgeous lobby. Dinner at L’Artisan was excellent! I was quickly saddened when I remembered I had to return to the airport. I was so impressed by the hospitality at Raffles that I’ve booked my Christmas vacation there and I can’t wait to return to Raffles Doha in just one short month! The rooms are pricey, starting around $900USD per night but I know it is absolutely worth it! It was good to be back in #doha for a day trip during my last transit through #qatarairways I landed about 7am in the morning at Hammad International Airport Doha, got an Uber to the hotel! Rested for 3 hours and straight went to the first Attraction ~ Souq Waqif, there are so many food options, cultural attractions, local shops for buying souvenirs and to enjoy the traditional food/tea/coffee. After exploring Souq Waqif and having a scrumptious lunch, we walked towards the #dohaharbour to see the high-rise buildings view of the city center, after clicking some pictures there took another Uber to the city center and did some shopping before going back to the airport.

The hotel has a very good location: right in the Doha city center. Right next door there's also the City Center Mall, which offers plenty of shopping options. It's also a good 15 mins from the hotel to the nearest metro station. The rooms are a good size and stocked with plenty of amenities. The decor is a bit dated but it's fine. The real star of the show is the breakfast, which offers plenty of choices and was delicious. #hotel #travel #explore #doha #qatar

If a nap is all you need head on over to one of the many free sleeping rooms 😴 Smokers will find their sanctuary too, but hey, y’all ought to just stop it already! *smacks that ciggy out of your hands*🚭 3) Consider exchanging your currency at home. The rates at the Travelex exchange booths in the airport are extremely unfavorable 📉 🗑. 4. Gates D and E are a little further away, you can catch a train to get to them if you’re in a hurry🏃‍♀️ . Mansucripts and jewelry, textile and armours - these rich collections of Arab antiquities are really worth a visit. The museum is open every day except Wednesday, from 9 am to 7 pm, tickets cost 50 QAR. You can purchase them upon arrival or in advance online (and choose a convenient time). I came there in the afternoon to spend a few hours away from daytime heat, exploring the exhibition, and then enjoy the beautiful view on sunset in the museum cafe. Transfer from Doha to London. Doha Airport is huge, luxurious and has many shops. The transfer process is convenient and simple. Just a simple security check. Unfortunately, the seats in front of the gate were full. You need to go to other gates to sit down and rest while waiting for your connecting flight. In fact, there are enough seats, but the seats near the gate are full. Overall, the transfer process was easy. #DohaTransfer #doha #qatar
