For us it was our 1st marriage anniversary and we wanted to celebrate it in this fancy restaurant . Food 🥘 : The menu is in form of packages with 7 to 10 dishes served in small portions. Most of the dishes are seafood dishes plus a kids menu which can only be ordered for a kid . Prices are from 80$ for the cheapest package (Vegetarian) to some that reaches 250$ with drinks . In my opinion , I didn’t really enjoy all the dishes but some of them were good and you’d like to have more than just the small portion given to you . Atmosphere 🐟🐠: Literally the best thing about this restaurant is the vibe and atmosphere all around it . Having lunch/ dinner next to a giant aquarium filled with all various types of fish and even some small sharks is absolutely amazing. They also had a diver that goes around inside waving at us and posing for photos Service 👩🍳: The service was fairly good . The staff guided us well when checking the menu and explained us the concept of the restaurant and each package. They also provided a brief description of each dish was served . We followed that with a parasailing experience, soaring high above the coastline and taking in panoramic views of Bali’s pristine beaches and turquoise waters—a perfect mix of adventure and awe-inspiring sights. 🚇 Transportation: We opted for a private car service from our hotel to Nusa Dua Beach, which made the journey smooth and stress-free. The drive was scenic, passing through lush greenery and coastal views. 🏨 Accommodation: We stayed at a lovely beachfront resort in Nusa Dua, offering direct access to the beach. After our water sports adventure, we relaxed in the resort’s pool area, which also had stunning views of the ocean—a perfect place to unwind. 📷 Photo Spots: The parasailing experience provided incredible aerial views, which were definitely photo-worthy! Back at the resort, the beach itself and the pool with a backdrop of the sea made for stunning photos. The contrast of the bright blue ocean and sky was absolutely breathtaking. 🍜 Local Cuisine: For lunch, we enjoyed ayam penyet, a delicious Indonesian fried chicken dish served with spicy sambal. The crispy skin paired with the bold, flavorful sambal and steamed rice was a highlight of the day. It was simple, but full of rich Balinese flavors. 💡 Tips: • Sunscreen is a must: The Balinese sun can be intense, especially when out on the water. Reapply regularly! • Book water sports in advance: Nusa Dua is a popular spot, so reserve ahead to secure your spot. • Take a waterproof bag for your belongings when engaging in water sports.

Nusa Dua is rich with large scale resorts and Sofitel does not disappoint! It's a great family resort with plenty for the kids to do, without the hefty price tag some of the other resorts down the road can come with. Althought the resort is a little dated they do a good job at upkeeping it. They have a comprehensive breakfast buffet and direct access to the beach (with great service!) Ever wanted a beach vacation that doesn’t break the bank? Geger Beach is the perfect spot for you. Located in a gated community of resorts, (you can access even if you are not a resort guest), you are immediately brought into another world, different from the rest of Bali outside the gates (see pic 6). Either walk or take a grab in to access this amazing luxury. I recommend taking grab as the area inside the gates is really big, there’s many resorts, a golf club, beaches, shopping areas and restaurants. To skip the beach entrance fee, grab to either Nusa Dua Beach Grill, or to Bali Collection (need to walk through the golf course to access the beach but you will walk through an amazing line up of tall trees within the golf course, see pic 8). Find your empty spot on the beach and lay down your mats and enjoy the waters! I can't recommend this resort enough! from the moment you step into the lobby you are blown away by the architecture and ocean views. Service, food, facilities and overall resort details were well thought out.
