Photos from my recent trip to Mogán, Gran Canaria. Getting to Mogán is easy through Gran Canaria’s bus system which you utilise to get all around the Island for an affordable price! Mogán has a lovely beach and variety of affordable food options especially Tapas located alongside the beach and surrounding areas. Mogán has their own Little Venice and is surrounded by various hiking routes and options. The sunset and weather in Mogán is lovely as well as the cats of the area which are also very friendly. I would recommend Mogán to travellers who are a fan of variety, the location is great and close to Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria which is accessible via bus and takes around 10 minutes. #Mogán #grancanaria

Getting There: - Little Venice is located in Puerto Mogan. - Very accessible by bus or ferry from Puerto Rico, Anfi or Arguineguin. Obviously bus is cheaper but takes longer. Ferry is slightly expensive (round trip from Puerto Rico port costs around €13.5) but it’s quicker and you get to travel on the sea. Shopping: - Tuesdays and Fridays are the market days. Highly recommended visiting (although make sure to wear a hat as you’ll be walking under the hot sun!). - The market sells various tourist trinkets and clothes. If you walk up the stairs, across the bridge to the opposite from the port, you can find some more market stalls that sells jewellery and other things. - Don’t forget to try the purple berry juice! 😋 - If the market isn’t your thing, Playa de Mogan is just a 5min walk away from the market street. A very lovely beach with restaurants nearby. Hotels: - If you plan to stay overnight in Puerto Mogan, I highly recommend Raddison Blu hotel. - Alternatively, there are plenty of hotels near Puerto Rico port where you can take the ferry. If you’re staying in Puerto Rico, I recommend Gloria Palace Amadores or Gloria Palace Royal (the latter is slightly further away from the port) Food & Restaurants: - There’s plenty of restaurants near the port, on the market street, and near the beach. If you’re stuck for choice, I recommend El Malecon de Mogan. - One of the best dishes I had was Mussels in white wine sauce and fries. I recommend only getting this when in season otherwise the mussels are tiny. Attractions: - Visit the Submarine Adventure! Go underwater without getting wet - tickets are around €33 if you buy at the desk on the day. You can save a couple of euros by purchasing the tickets online either in advance or when you get there. - The submarine can be found at the end of the market. It’s yellow and bright so you won’t miss it! - Afterwards, head down to the diving centre and try out scuba diving. Playa de Amadores Amazing beach in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria! Golden sand beach with lots of restaurants and beach shops nearby. Great way to spend a weekend away and relax. I highly recommend staying at Gloria Palace Thalassos Amadores. Took a 5 night trip to the Parque Cristóbal in #playadelingles #grancanaria in reality the hotel is well back from the beach but also on the edge of Maspalomas so you can access both easily. Free shuttle to the beach provided. The hotel itself was brilliant for #families low rise accommodation in self contained bungalows, pools all heated when not in peak summer season. Food and drink pretty much available all day. All inclusive beer wine soft drinks and hot drinks are plentiful and you serve yourself. The pool facilities for adults and kids are brilliant. Loads of sun beds even during school holidays and always plenty of space available. Nice towels provided for a deposit also. Staff were brilliant the whole place seemed really safe and play areas and a kids club looked great too. We loved this place and I don’t often say that about family hotels but I’d definitely go back. Loads of food options and kids will always find something suitable to eat.

Best budget hotel very close to Playa del Ingles in Gran Canaria. The rooms are modest, although very clean. The swimming pool is amazing for a 3 star hotel (more like a 5 star hotel pool). I recommend staying here #playadelingles #grancanaria #beach

Car rental is the most convenient way to move around the island. All the wonders of nature are easily accessible on this island. El Bufadero de la Garita. In the small town La Garita on the east part of the island in the municipality of Telde on the beach of la Garita there is a very interesting unique natural phenomenon - the hole in the Rocky ocean. This is a vertical tunnel. This tunnel "is breathing", the water is gradually rises, reaches the peak and than slowly starts to sink. The Sioux City Park is located on another fabulous island of the Canarias - #grancanaria . This is maybe the main island in the area. The park itself is very a nice copy of the cities in the wild west many years ago. There are also few movies been filmed here. #happynewyear
