Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is Central Ohio’s premier botanical garden and home to the iconic John F. Wolfe Palm House which dates back to 1895. Situated just east of Franklin Park, the Conservatory is approximately two miles from downtown Columbus. The visitor experience spans about 13-acres and is comprised of the Conservatory building, The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Children’s Garden and the Grand Mallway. The experience consists of botanical biomes, lush gardens, special horticulture and art exhibitions, and seasonal offerings. A collection of glass works by artist Dale Chihuly is also on display and included with admission. #passionpassport Ohio Welcome center on Interstate Highway 70 is beautiful building and have needed amenities for the people looking for relaxing place to sit and use restroom or taking break from driving on the road. Toilets were clean and there was a water fountain available. There was also a vending machine for some soft drinks and snacks. There are multiple sitting areas and can be used for lunch or dinner breaks. In information stand there were information vouchers available for activities in Ohio and places to visit famous places. Union Station, Chicago is one of the most beautiful station I have seen. It’s located in downtown Chicago. Built in 1881, it was rebuilt in 1925. it’s fourth busiest railway station in USA. It was designed by famous Architects. It has platforms and a waiting hall which is grand and so beautiful. It has two statues by Henry Hering —Night and Day — look down on passengers, symbolizing the 24-hour operation of the railroads. The statue Night holds an owl, while Day holds a rooster. Construction was delayed several times by World War I, labor shortages and strikes. We were searching some place to have dinner when we were in Grand Rapids, we saw this restaurant and headed towards it. Place looks nice, it have open backyard with great light settings. It was windy day and with lights it was looking so good and charming. Inside sitting place is also nice with lot of creative work on walls. Drink menu have lots of options. I was looking for vegetarian menu and there were multiple options available. Tacos were nice and drinks were awesome. Nachos and dips and sides were also nice. Nachos were home made and good. Navy Pier is a ho to place in Chicago. It has multiple things to do for everyone. You can see full skyline of Chicago from one end to another. There are many restaurants which serve delicious food from various geographies. Alum Creek Park is in outer of Columbus and has a beautiful beach. It’s a huge place have multiple play areas, recreational areas and beaches. It’s suitable for all, Kids, Adults, Olds. sone can rent boats and can go in water, Swimming, BBQ or can do picnic in one of the many areas available in the area. When we went we made tea and packed some snacks. It was evening and it was surreal experience to have tea and read books on side of a beach. There were many sea Guls and adding beauty to the scenery. Beach is well maintained and clean. There are swings and granary around the beach. Life guards are not available so advised to take care of kids and avoid going in water in deep if you don’t know swimming. Blendon Wood Park is located 20 Miles from Columbus Downtown. Opens from 6:3 am to 10 PM. Very good place for evening walks, Picnic or for kids. It has multiple play areas, trails and places for picnics. It also a camping area and some places which are reserved only for booking. There are multiple trails and very beautiful. Lots of greenery during spring and summer and during fall it gets a very good color. There are many varieties of flora and fauna and can be very good experimental for kids. Multiple free parking spaces are available in the park premises.
