The journey itself was an adventure—I crossed the Mekong River by boat, enjoying the scenic views before reaching this peaceful, artisan village. Walking through the village, I saw local artisans carefully crafting beautiful paper products from mulberry tree bark. This gemsy little town in Laos is worth a visit. It is recommended to spend a relaxing time watching the flow of the Mekong River. In addition, there is a breathtaking transparent waterfall and a pond after running for about 30 minutes by rental bike. When you take a ferry on the Mekong River and visit a cave at the foot of a large rocky mountain upstream, hundreds of Buddha statues are randomly placed and are a masterpiece. You can also see the rural life scenery a little far from the city by motorcycle. No matter where you cut it, the scenery that becomes a picture continues. Everything is a wonderful view to put in the camera. If you have a chance to go to Laos, please visit Luang Prabang once. As part of a group trip I went on, we visited the Mekong River. The tour was in 2 parts, we took a cruise to one island to see the coconut candy making process. Then took the boat back to Unicorn Island where we had fresh fruit, honey tea and traditional music. From Unicorn Island, we had the local ladies row us along the Mekong River back to our main boat. This was really enjoyable as it made the trip feel fuller. Mekong Viewpoint coffee shop is one of the nice place for relaxing and sipping a cup of coffee during a great holiday in Luang Prabang.
