This was my first time solo-travel to Taitung. It is a beautiful place that I will visit again and again. I made a lot of good friends at the hostel and during the swim in the ocean. I love the view on the way here by train, and I love that how the eastern Taiwan still preserves nature really well. You get to taste the rawness and beauty of nature but also the warmness from the people there. 📍East Coast Fugang Geopark (Xiaoyeliu) It’s a very good place if you are interested in geology and want to learn more about the geography in Taiwan. There are also many beautiful rocks. It is a place that brings you peace and tranquility. 📍Dulan Sugar Factory Café and Art Gallery You can see the sugar factory and learn about the history of the old age. There is also a lot of indigenous art work displayed there. 🌊Most of the time here I spent time with my friends in the ocean swimming and surfing. I actually don’t know how to surf, so I just tumbled in the water lol but I love ocean and water, so I had a great time there. 🌿I also had the chance to join a chanting meditation at Taitung Xiao Ma at 森林四季 📍2827+FXW 信義里 Taitung County, Chenggong Township You can take a bus to Xiao Ma bridge and walk a bit uphill to get there. 🥯Marino‘s Kitchen They have the best bread in this region! You can also rent surfing boards there. People who want to do work-exchange are also welcome there. Santorini, Greece, is a very popular Greek island surrounded by the Aegean Sea, boasting natural scenery and a blue ocean! This time, I came here to embark on this sea exploration journey! I specifically took a wooden boat from the Old Port to the volcanic island of Nea Kameni near Santorini. This wooden boat is also very large and features the Greek flag! Upon landing on this island, you can see a lot of volcanic mud and the vast ocean, offering a very beautiful view! I highly recommend taking a boat to the volcanic island when you visit Santorini, Greece. It is definitely worth it!

Keri Caves is one of the most beautiful places to visit! Crystal clear waters, clear enough to see the colourful fish beneath you. Perfect place to do snorkelling or scuba diving, I had an amazing time trying to spot all the different types fish. 🐠 Breathtaking views over the beautiful blue sea and stunning sunsets make this a wonderful experience that will stay with you. I 100% would like to visit the keri caves again it was honestly breathtaking. 🌅 In order to visit the caves you have to go by boat but there are plenty of organised trips from nearby towns. You are also allowed to rent a boat without a licence.Some of the caves are big enough to allow a boat to enter. In others you can swim from the entrance to the inside. 🚤 If you are visiting Zakynthos I would highly recommend spending your day/evening visiting here. We visited a small park near the islet of Vila Franca, located in Vila Franca do Campo, a charming town in the southern part of São Miguel Island, Azores, Portugal. The islet, less than 1 km from the park, is uninhabited and primarily composed of basalt. It serves as a popular spot for recreational activities such as cliff diving and snorkeling during the summer. The islet features an almost perfectly circular bay with a diameter of 150 meters and is one of the nature reserves in the Azores. During our visit, the weather was cloudy and rainy. Hon Chong Beach in Nha Trang is a coastal destination known for its stunning natural beauty and unique geological formations. Here, visitors can experience a picturesque seascape characterized by rugged rocks and clear turquoise waters. Location: Located about 4 kilometers north from Nha Trang city center, it is an easy ride to get to by a cab or a motorbike along the main coastal road. Hon Chong boasts a large area of rocks with a variety of unique shapes lying on the shore. It is surrounded by the mountains and highlighted by the serene beach with an incredible shade of gentle blue. Hon Chong Beach is sheltered from the impact of the wind by several multi-sized islands offshore. Hence, it is considered a safe place for tourists to visit. Even during rainy season when Nha Trang beach is very windy with high waves, there are days when Hon Chong beach is still very calm, almost lake-like. It is a great place to practice swimming and when there are waves, for surfing. The Promontory: Hon Chong Promontory comprises two clusters of rocks. One is called Hon Chong (meaning “Husband” in Vietnamese) and the other is Hon Vo (meaning “Wife” in Vietnamese). Hon Chong cluster is the larger one which features an intriguing giant five-fingered hand embedded on a boulder. Notably, the layout of rocks at Hon Chong is rather unusual. The stones naturally sit on one another, which creates layers of rocks that can withstand the fierceness of the climate and the sea for years to come. Additionally, at Hon Chong Promontory Nha Trang, you will find two rocks standing upright with another big rock stuck in between that looks like a big stone gate. Opening hours & entrance fee: The Hon Chong beach is always open and free but to view the rocks, there is an entrance fee. This area is open for visitors from 7am to 7pm every day, but it is usually most crowded between 4-5pm. The ticket price is currently 22,000 VND/adult and 11,000 VND/child. Opened in 2017, Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory is a 72.5-m observation deck which stands 20 m above the sea located at one end of Cheongsapo fishing village in Haeundae, Busan. The area used to be a deserted site of an old train line. It was recently redeveloped into Haeundae Blueline Park which consists of beach train and sky capsule for tourism purposes. Daritdol Observatory is at the fourth stop of the Haeundae beach train starting from Mipo station. We walked 600 m from Cheongsapo station to the observatory instead as we didn't take the beach train. From afar, the observatory looked like a blue dragon stretching out over the ocean. As we walked towards the end of the observatory, part of the floor was made of transparent glass which adds to the thrill of walking above the sea. CALAGUAS is the best of the best! 🌊 Visited this place with friends back in 2016 and I was astonished. This place is amazingly beautiful! 💎 Getting there wasn’t easy since it took us a few hours of boat ride but it was all worth it! I have been to most of the famous beaches and islands in the Philippines but this one is really different. It’s not crowded at all.
