🏞️ Oshino Hakkai: Japan’s Hidden Spring Village Beneath Mt. Fuji
#summervacay
Nestled at the foot of Mt. Fuji, Oshino Hakkai is a peaceful village famous for its eight crystal-clear spring ponds. Each pond is fed by the snowmelt of Mt. Fuji, filtered naturally through layers of lava rock over decades. The result? Some of the cleanest, clearest water you’ll ever see.⛰️
Traditional thatched-roof houses, waterwheels, and koi-filled streams make this spot feel like a scene out of a Ghibli movie. Whether you're here to reflect by the water or snap a postcard-perfect photo of Mt. Fuji, Oshino Hakkai is magic in motion.

Oshino-Hakkai | Clear water village with a view of Mt. Fuji🗻✨
Clear Water Village is a famous tourist attraction that I would like everyone who comes to Kawaguchiko to visit. At first, I thought there would be nothing, but when I got there, I really liked it because the nature is very beautiful and the water is really clear. There are many Japanese sweets to try (the red bean vegetable mochi shop we took a picture of also has chili paste for you to try. It's very delicious when eaten together. I want you to try it). There are also many souvenirs. It goes well with the many tourists. 55555
🚙 For those who drive, you can park your car at the entrance of the village.
Parking is not free, but if you buy products from the shop next door (I don't remember how many yen), you can park for free. // At that time, I bought pickled garlic with bonito flakes inside. It was very delicious. I want to go back and buy it again.
📍Parking location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/hKP6Hht1pUx4Viwn6?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy (The parking lot is near this link, opposite the ice cream shop.)
🚌For those who don't rent a car You can buy a pass from Fujikyu bus.
There are 2 types: 1 Day (1,800 yen) and 2 Day (2,200+).
You can take unlimited buses around Fujiyoshida, Oshino and Yamanakako (you can visit both the clear water village and Lake Yamanaka).

#oshinohakkai #clearwatervillage #travelaroundmtfuji
Oshino Hakkai Village, often called the Clear Water Village, is a small and lovely village that is also a point where you can clearly see Mt. Fuji. It is also the source of water that creates clean water with fresh air and good nature. The water is so clear that you can see fish swimming. There are 8 ponds around the village. It is water that they say melts from the snow around Mt. Fuji.
This place is beautiful and has a combination of elements that are so good that it was registered as a natural heritage in 1934 and was also selected as one of the 100 most beautiful waterscapes in 1985 and has remained beautiful to this day.
In addition to taking beautiful pictures, this place has delicious menus, both savory and sweet, such as grilled fish, spicy miso tofu, pickles, local soba, fresh and juicy fruits, and various flavors of soft and smooth ice cream for you to try. But what you can't miss is the Oden. It's sooo delicious! Soft and chewy. Eating hot Oden in the cold weather is so awesome! 🍢🍡🤤
And there are many souvenirs to choose from. It's another place you can't miss to check in. 😎

Oshino Hakkai @ "Eight Seas"
Hakkai, or "Eight Seas," refers to the eight pools of water that are the main attraction at Oshino Hakkai. It’s a small area that features traditional village houses, shops and watermills set against a spectacular backdrop of Japan’s most famous mountain, Mt Fuji.
This small village is a pretty retreat no matter what time of year you visit. Evergreens are interspersed with maple trees that turn a gorgeous amber in the autumn months, and in the winter, layers of snow add a magical quality to this tranquil village. It is a popular destination and often busy, but even so, the peacefulness of the area persists.

Seeing Mount Fuji from different angles
I signed up for a day trip which allowed me to view Mount Fuji from different angles and perspectives. The itinerary included Oshino Hakkai, Arakurayama Sengen Park, Kawaguchiko Oishi Park and Lawson convenience stall.
Oshino Hakkai has 8 springs formed by the melted snow water from Mount Fuji. Each of these springs has its own distinctive characteristics, and complements the beauty of Mount Fuji.
Arakurayama Sengen Park has a beautiful pagoda, and there is a photo spot to catch both the pagoda and Mount Fuji. However, you have to climb almost 400 steps to get to the top where the pagoda is.
At Kawaguchiko Oishi Park, there is a beautiful lake which is a nice contrast with Mount Fuji in the background. If you come in the right season, the banks of the river will be filled with lavender blooms.
This particular Lawson convenience stall has attracted so much tourist attention that the locals actually put up a screen to block off the view, only to remove the screen weeks after.

Enjoy the view of Mt. Fuji in winter at Nam Sai Village 🗻
Fuji in winter and the atmosphere of the Japanese way of life Another atmosphere that goes together perfectly is Oshino Hakkai Village or the village of clear water 🏘️
Oshino Hakkai Village is located in the same area as the 5 lakes, making it a beautiful resource that was registered as a natural heritage in 1934 🌳 It is believed that in the past, this village was the area of the lakes around Mt. Fuji. As time passed, even though the water in the lake dried up, the 8 clean ponds remained. The water in the lake was formed from the melting snow on the volcano. When it flows through the lava rocks and minerals, the water becomes very clean 💦, leading to the belief that the water in the pond is sacred water.
This makes this village a tourist attraction where travelers visit the entire village and the beautiful view of Mt. Fuji in every season. The people in the village have opened local shops and restaurants for tourists to have the opportunity to taste delicious food 🍱
Anyone who comes to visit Yamanashi City must not forget to visit Oshino Hakkai Village 💞

Bus stop number 6 from Kawaguchiko to Oshino Hakkai
Aunt Aom complained... Take the bus from Kawaguchiko Station to Oshino Hakkai, the village of clear water.
From the story that Aunt told me that waiting at the wrong bus stop changed her life... but it wasn't bad. Auntie had an adventure in the Narusawa Ice Cave, the beautiful Fugaku Fuketsu Wind Cave. Auntie took the green bus back to the starting point at Kawaguchiko Station at 3 pm. There was almost 3 hours for the round trip because the last bus was at 6 pm.
Found the correct bus stop, which is stop number 6. The stop will be on the right hand side (facing Mt. Fuji, the bus station). Walk a little further out of the station to Lawson, a popular photo spot. The sign will clearly say that it goes to the village of clear water, Lake Yamato. The bus was full of passengers. There were people waiting to get on the bus all the way. The bus took almost 1 hour to get to the village of clear water. There was only a little time to walk. What a pity! Next time, if you come to visit, check the bus stops around the station so you can get on the right one like Auntie. The red, green, and blue lines will start right in front of the station. But there is a sign that says which color line it is. Red is the hottest. There are a lot of people waiting.

Oshino Hakkai is located at the Fuji Mountain jn Japan. Why is yjis place so famous? Bscause it has eight springs found and all eight springs have become world heritage. As you can see on the photo, the spring is naturally blue and the it has tge first water coming out right from the glaciers from Mount Fuji.
