Winter Wonders at the Summer Palace: A Perfect Family Getaway in Beijing
#travel #thingstodo #couplestrip #familytravel #trip #china
Our family trip to the Summer Palace in Beijing was nothing short of magical! 🏯✨ As a Muslim family, finding a place that catered to our preferences while offering breathtaking views and cultural richness was a dream come true.
The moment we stepped into the Summer Palace, we were captivated by its serene beauty. The frozen Kunming Lake ❄️ added a unique charm to the landscape, and the iconic Longevity Hill with its majestic halls and pavilions was a sight to behold. Walking along the arched bridges and willow trees gave us that classic postcard-perfect vibe. 🌿📸
One of our favorite spots was the pavilion overlooking the lake. The delicate architecture paired with the natural surroundings made for a peaceful moment we’ll never forget. It felt like stepping back in time to imperial China! 👑
Traveling as a family made this experience even more special. 👨👩👧👦 From group photos on the bridges to sharing snacks in the open courtyard, every moment was filled with laughter and love. The clear blue skies and crisp winter air kept us energized throughout the day. And of course, we made sure to pack halal-friendly meals, which made the trip worry-free. 🥪✨
Pro tip: Wear comfortable shoes because there’s a lot of walking involved. Also, visit during the morning for fewer crowds and better photo opportunities! 🌅
The Summer Palace isn’t just a landmark – it’s an unforgettable experience that blends history, nature, and family bonding. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Beijing! 🌏💖

First Mosque in China!!!
Muslims came to China early on and spread their ideology and way of life. Xi’an, the capital of the vibrant Tang Dynasty was a welcoming host and Islam took root here in this majestic land. Islam settled comfortably in Xi’an at the most opportune time when ideas were freely exchanged and all ways of life respected. In the Great Mosque of Xi’an the merging of these two cultures is beautifully displayed. The dragon carvings are proof of the Tang king’s support of this place of worship. This mosque maintains its ideological roots with Arabic calligraphy and Quranic verses carved all over and is clothed in the traditional Chinese garment of local architecture and landscaping. We prayed maghrib and felt blessed to be a part of this structure’s history at this point in time.#Greatmosque #muslimtravel #muslimstreet #halaltravel
A blend of French elegance with Taiwanese Hospitality
Blending classic French elegance with the warmth of Taiwanese hospitality, I checked into The Riviera Hotel Taipei — and it instantly felt like a home away from home. 💛
From the moment I stepped into the charming lobby, I was greeted with genuine smiles and thoughtful service that made me feel truly welcomed. The interiors carry a romantic, vintage Parisian vibe — think chandeliers, rich wood accents, and timeless charm — yet everything is balanced with the modern comforts every traveler needs.
What truly sets The Riviera apart for me is its Muslim-friendly approach — something I deeply appreciate as a mindful traveler. From halal-certified dining options, prayer facilities, to attentive staff who go out of their way to ensure every detail is just right, it’s clear that care and inclusivity are part of the hotel’s heart and soul.
Whether you're exploring the vibrant streets of Zhongshan District, retreating to your cozy room after a long day, or simply enjoying a quiet breakfast on the terrace, there's a sense of serenity and sophistication that lingers here.
✨ Truly, it’s not just a place to stay — it’s a place to feel cared for.
Can’t wait to share more Riviera Moments from this lovely escape! 🌸

Touched by Tranquility: A Spiritual Journey in Makkah”
Words fall short in describing the peace that fills your heart when you step into Masjid al-Haram. Standing before the Kaaba, time seems to pause, and all worldly concerns fade. From the soothing call to prayer echoing across the marble courtyards to the sight of people from every nation united in worship. Makkah is more than a destination; it’s a soul-awakening experience.
Staying at the Pullman ZamZam Makkah gave me easy access and an unmatched view of the Holy Mosque. I recommend booking a room facing the Haram, #MakkahMoments #SpiritualTravel #MasjidAlHaram #ZamzamBlessings #IslamicTravel #FaithJourney #HajjDreams #Umrah2025 #KaabaView #HalalTravel waking up to that view will forever be etched in your heart.

7 Thing to do when you visit Hat Yai 🇹🇭
“Huh you go Hat Yai? Got what?” 🤔
“Hat Yai flight I only see uncles and aunties go 😂😂”
“Hat Yai got things to do meh?”🫠
Yes 🙌
Let me tell you why the Thai town is the new Bangkok 😏
Bangkok has always been a popular destination for tourists, & Hat Yai is such an underrated gem 💎 .
In many ways, Hat Yai is a travel destination which boasts many of the qualities of Thai cuisine and shopping scene.
Explore through many of its street markets and bazaars that continue well into the night, eat delicious seafood and popular Thai street food (cheaper than other touristy spots in Thailand!) and spend the lazy afternoon at the beauty salons and massages 💆♀️.

“𝗛𝘂𝗵?
“𝗛𝘂𝗵? 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲? 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴…” 😒
I’m back with another reels series on solo travel! So to answer this sentiment…
Well.. it depends from person to person. It also depends on what you want from the experience, or the reason why you wanna do it in the first place! Don’t just do it just because everyone is doing it, or it’s just “trendy”. Do it for you.
And anyway, it’s much easier to make friends when you solo travel, compared to if you were travelling with people. It’s because you will be put in a situation where you are more inclined to be more social! If you are with friends or family, you’d probably feel less inclined to step out of your comfort and start talking to strangers. So…
“How do you actually meet people and make friends when solo travelling?”
Choose your accommodations wisely, maybe Airbnb or hostels? I’ve made friends in hostels (that leads out to be my HOUSEMATE🤣, or just cooking together, exploring new spots together). You’ll however need to make that effort 😉
There’s many places to make friends, you could even make friends on the plane when you travel to your next destination, or another random tourist beside you who is watching the sunset.
But being honest with you as I grew older, I made less effort to talk to people when travelling hahaha 😝
“Waaah I always wanted to try solo travel, but I’m scared 🥺”
I think this post is already long enough so… response for another post! Haha.
Keeping it short and simple, choose somewhere that’s most comfortable for you, and start somewhere.
That being said, I also want to show other realities of solo travelling.
There were moments *recently* that it felt hard, when It would be so so nice if I had my special people in my life with me to witness, enjoy and share the magical moments by my side. When I was much younger, I don’t think I ever had that “bored” feeling because I just wanted to have so much adventures and do everything… maybe I’ve passed that phase, maybe not, I don’t know 😅
Let me know why you enjoy solo travel, or any questions you have! 👇🏻

Featuring Three Spots in Australia
The audio is so funny I just had to…. 😭😂😂😂
Featuring three spots where I had Muslim-friendly food in 🇦🇺 on my Tourism Australia familiarisation trip ! 👇
1️⃣ Barnyard 1978, @barnyard1978 Margaret River
Seasonal produce menus, and I heard they change the menu every day? 😲 Barnyard1978 is also a “Paddock to Plate” principle based restaurant, and their food was hands down some of the best tasting food I’ve had, and plating was gorgeous 😭 I was telling my fellow mates in the famil trip by Tourism Australia…that I felt like Masterchef judges trying out the dishes! Alcohol served in premises so do dine at your own discretion, I’m only sharing my own experiences here. You can email in beforehand to request for Muslim-friendly food.
2️⃣ Cicerello’s at Fremantle @cicerellos
We had a seafood platter set that came with delicious mussels, fried and pan-fried fish 🐠, cold prawns and oysters, fried calamari and seafood chowder. You can also get lobsters 🦞 here. There’s no beer in the batter, so yes it is Muslim-friendly! There’s plenty of places with fish and chips but do ask beforehand as it’s quite common for beer battered fish and chips here (and also London, i think!)
3️⃣ Seafood platter with @mandurahcruises .
We had a six course meal, and one of it was this massive plate of fresh oysters 🦪 and prawns and sashimi!

Halal Food Eateries in Paris
I’ve already been here a couple of times and I know which food I like the most! 😋
I used to walk from Chateau Rouge metro all the way to Simplon to see which halal eateries looked interesting, and I think not much has changed since the first time I was there in 2016. And the dish i loooove to get are the lamb chops (around €9) and taste soooo flavourful, soft meat and just sedap lah!
Avoid this place at night though!

Halal Takoyaki Restaurant in Osaka
📎SAVE, bookmark 📝and SHARE this post for your future Japan 🇯🇵 trip!
Let’s try to make Takoyaki at this Japanese Restaurant! 😍❤️ was so excited to film my tiktok here. Read the steps to cook your own halal authentic takoyaki only in Osaka 🇯🇵
1 Grease the pan with oil.
2 Pour the mix into the cups until they are full. Tip: it has to be full and flowing! Cannot be too little
3 Put octopus, red ginger, green onion and tempura bits in each cup. Another tip: Spread it evenly kk!
4 Wait for awhile before you turn them over until they are round and brown all over. It takes a bit of skill here as I didn’t manage to turn it nicely, causing them to break apart.
5 Serve on a plate with original Halal sauce, mayonnaise and bonito flakes. ENJOY!❤️
📍@halal_matsuri
Andddd there is Prayer space and souvenir corner here! Highly recommend.
