We really wanted to go here because of the amazing structure and Miss Universe Philippines 2018 Catriona Gray walked inside this beautiful piece of art for the event. We were staying in Bangkok during our vacation here. We went to Mochit to take the bus going to Pattaya and when we arrived, we had to take another type of transportation to take us directly here. When we fianally arrived, I was in complete awe seeing the beautiful museum from afar and it was just near the beach so the view was perfect. There is a proper dress code going inside the museum for respect. Our guide said the Sanctuary of Truth is technically a contemporary art museum - many sections are unfinished because it is a work in progress. The entire museum is man-made from wood and no nails. Since I wasn’t interested in party while on holidays I decided to make a deeper research. I found there are a lot of cultural places to visit and I found the Sanctuary of Truth. This was my second time at this place and again I’d like to go back. This place is under construction and it is all made out of wood. You can admire the people working while you walk around. So lesson learned Pattaya can be the most unexpected place I have visited. Side note, you need to wear a helmet while inside of this temple but I took it off for a second to take this picture. 1) If you’re not traveling alone, it’s better to just book a grab from your hotel (around 94 baht) I made a mistake of going on a “budget” by riding 2 baht bus and attempting to walk from the nearest stop which was another 30 minutes walk uphill. We gave up since it was too hot and booked a grab (60baht) 2) Wear appropriate clothing. No shorts no tanktops croptops. But don’t worry, right by the entrance there’s a small tall where you can deposit 200 baht for each cover 3) There are different tours separated by languages. We bought our tickets on the spot and we made sure to have us on the English tour. We saw Chinese, Thai,Arabic,Korean tour available so if you prefer those, you should mention it at the ticketing counter 4) the tour was quite long, ours took more than 30 minutes and we slowly noticed our group becoming smaller because they stopped following the tour guide. 5) You need to wear a helmet inside the Sanctuary of truth since it is still under construction (not super noticeable on pictures depending on your angle) but many people take them off when they take their pictures. Went here last June 2019, didnt know about any place to visit in Pattaya until I saw this in google and it didnt disappoint... really stunning architecture inside and out. There is also a free cultural dance show right outside this building. #sanctuaryoftruth #pattaya #thailand
