If you are to visit to the Angkot Wat, this is usually a combo at the same day as it is just near to each other and takes approximately 15 min by driving!! Personally I feel this is a must visit place as there are huge trees strangling across the ancient Angkor buildings making it an impressive place to take photos with. Yet, the entrance fee is FREE so why not to pay a visit 😆😆

This is one if the 3 popular temple being visited by more than 1.5 million people a year. This temples are built in between of 12th and 13th century and has its uniqueness among the other 3 temples. You ask me which is my favourite, it will be definitely the Ta Phrom Temple as this place has many photogenic spots with tree roots growing through the temple making it looks like a place out in a romantic forest. Entrance fees to Ta Phrom comes together with the visit to the 2 other temples of ankor wat and bayon which will be explained in another post.

I went on a trip to Cambodia with my father during New Year’s Eve of 2023. I was astonished by the temple architecture, the culture, cuisine and the people were so gentle, helpful and friendly. My first destination was Phnom Penh, not a big airport as we see in other popular cities around the world. I checked into Bali resort which is about 4-5 km from the airport. This resort is as beautiful as I found in the pictures before booking. The rooms were spacious and wooden floored. They even have a battery car to drop you at the designated room as the premises is big enough 😍 The breakfast buffet is heaven, various options and I felt like I just had lunch! 😄 The complimentary breakfast buffet menu includes fried rice, noodles, veggies, curries, meat, bread, soups, fruits, juices, salads … Wow! 🤩 I didn’t have lunch after this anyway 😂 The capital city doesn’t have a lot to offer in terms of tourism except the Royal Palace, National museum and the Independence monument. I wrapped up these in about half a day. Next destination was Siem Reap - one can’t miss Angkor Wat and the Tomb Raider shooting location at Ta Phrom, both these places took my breath away. Beautiful ancient architecture and history. I tried a local dish called Amok which was delicious. Stayed at Sokhalay Angkor resort overnight - again a huge campus with a lunch-like breakfast buffet 😄😋😋 Traveled back to Phnom Penh and an overnight stay at Bali resort again with the delicious breakfast…. Ummm should I say lunch 😃😋😍😍 Four days visit to Cambodia and an amazing experience.
