Years ago, as a young traveler exploring Eastern Europe, my first stop was Bulgaria. One of the itineraries I planned was a solo hike from the Rila Monastery, passing through the 2500-meter-high Rila Mountains, staying overnight at a mountain lodge, and ending the journey at the Seven Rila Lakes. I initially thought the 5-hour journey would allow me to reach the lodge before the 8 PM sunset. However, I got lost in the forest midway, and the steep ascent took a toll on my stamina. By 4 PM, I hadn't even completed half of the planned route. Despite occasional misdirections and some ankle pain, and with parts of the trail becoming muddy after the rain, I was fortunate to meet a few Israeli hikers along the way. We traveled together and reached the popular tourist spot, the Seven Lakes, around noon. Seeing the tourist-friendly paths and facilities, this journey through the Rila Mountains came to an end.

The town that made me feel most relaxed during my trip to Croatia was Split. From Plitvice Lakes we arrived near the Sea Organ in Zadar, just in time for the beautiful sunset! The entire sea surface and steps were dyed golden yellow, which was simply stunning! When the sun slowly slid towards the sea level, everyone sat on the steps and admired it. The sea here is really blue, and the reflection of each other is beautiful. 🌅Unlike other sunsets, Zadar not only has a golden sunset, but also the melody of the sea organ accompanied by the waves hitting the stone steps. 📜The sea organ plays music through the resonance of the waves and the polyethylene pipes under the marble steps. Anyone who goes to Eastern Europe will not miss Plitvice Lakes National Park. I originally thought it was just an ordinary family attraction and difficult to visit with a lot of people. Lake Bled is known as the "Ice Lake" because the meltwater from the snow on the top of the Bled Mountains continuously flows into the lake. It is also known as one of the 30 most beautiful towns in the world. It was a sunny day when I arrived. The lake is surrounded by mountains. Walking around the lake, the scenery is beautiful from every angle! The most special thing about the lake is that there is a small island, Bled Island, on the lake, which is a completely fairy-tale scenery. I think this place is perfectly underrated, absolutely gorgeous! This time I chose to hike here and go to the observation deck to see the scenery, and it was really worth the trip. There are also many things to do nearby: 1️⃣Hiking 🔸Walk along the lake. It takes three hours to walk around the lake. If you include the observation deck and the castle, it will probably take longer. 🔹 Lake Bled has two viewing platforms located on the mountain, called Osoinica and Mala Osoinica. On a trip to Eastern Europe, we arrived at the capital of Hungary, Budapest. Budapest is actually named after the combination of Buda (on the west bank) and Pest (on the east bank), with the Danube River running through it, making it a very romantic city and also the former capital of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The Classic Central Apartment where we stayed is a 65 square meter two-bedroom apartment with an excellent location. Opening the window, you face St. Stephen's Basilica, and it's very convenient for daily life with many restaurants and lively atmosphere, just a 2-minute walk from the subway station. The apartment is well-equipped and spacious with wooden floors, a large L-shaped white sofa, a small kitchen with all the necessary equipment, and a pure white European style that is quite simple and elegant. The owner is very friendly and enthusiastic, and even provided a bottle of welcome red wine. The cost for four people to stay one night is about 4800 New Taiwan dollars, which is a very high value for money. The reason for choosing this apartment was the view of St. Stephen's Basilica right outside the window, which was very attractive. The experience after staying was also good, highly recommended.
