Getting There - Masai Mara is about a 5hr drive from Lake Nakuru. Attractions - Endless views and a lot of opportunities to spot wildlife including lions, elephants, giraffes and a lot of varieties of birds. Hotels - There are multiple hotels in the area. I stayed at Serenity Mara Legends Camp. It is right next to a lake with a lot of hippopotamuses and they arrange hot air balloon safaris or you can choose to arrange on your own. I had a breathtaking experience flying in a hot air balloon in Vang Vieng. The views were absolutely magical, with the lush mountains, rice fields, mist and cloud surrounding us. The experience was surreal, and even the early morning wake-up call was worth it. The ride cost around €150, which may seem steep, but once you’re floating above the fairy chimneys and valleys, it feels priceless. As the balloon gently ascended, the sun began to rise, casting a golden light over the unique landscape. Watching dozens of other balloons dotting the sky made the scene even more magical. Amazing and memorable ride in the sky, overseeing valleys. Started off the journey with the balloon provider fetching us at 5am at our hotel. Bumpy road to the balloon location within valleys. Snack pack was given to us (bread, juice, energy bar) Flew for approximately 55 minutes (damn astonishing scenery), and the whole flight basket landed on a truck with perfect landing. 🤙🏻 Had a after flight celebration party (provider said to celebrate that we’re still alive and kicking 🤣) and we were awarded with flight certificate! Btw, the experience was damn good. I crossed a #bucketlist trip off my list and went in a #hotairballoon ride in #cappadocia #turkey It is simply magical being in the air and watching hundreds of balloons at sunrise! Most rides are 60 minutes long and will start about 5 am. But it is definitely worth it to have this once in a lifetime experience. If it is shoulder season (before June or after October), you can book your ride relatively last minute. It will also be more affordable then.
