Nanxun Ancient Town: A Summer Dream of Water and Serenity 🛶🌸
#summervacay
I just experienced the tranquil beauty of Nanxun Ancient Town! My aimless summer wanderings truly led me to appreciate the soul of this Jiangnan water village.
The waterways, arched bridges, and the gently swaying traditional sculling boats beneath them are absolutely the essence of a classic ancient town. I found all the perfect spots for those iconic photos!
As I strolled, I also discovered:
Lush greenery lining the streets.
Charming and interesting shops.
I even stopped at Pangjintang (胖桔瑭食), a tea and dessert shop within the ancient town. While the mousse cake was definitely more for a pretty photo op than an exceptional taste experience, I found the environment incredibly comfortable and relaxing. It's the kind of place where you just want to sit back and soak in the atmosphere.
Location: It's on the east side of the Covered Bridge, at 58 Xiatang East Street in Nanxun Ancient Town.
My favorite part was just watching the reflections shimmer in the water, spending a long afternoon by the riverside. This kind of slow-paced ancient town is truly perfect for "wasting time" in the most beautiful way.
