[Updated for 2024] Honest review and complete guide to Shanghai Disney attractions and shows!
I honestly reviewed the attractions and shows at Shanghai Disneyland along with the waiting times! I'll also tell you which attractions you should ride at which times! (September 2024)
Order of rides ①-⑨ Recommendation level ⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎
※Tron was closed this time (weekdays in September)
※This time, I'm using this as an indicator of whether it's worth going out of your way to experience it at Shanghai Disneyland and whether it's worth waiting in line for that time
① Zootopia attraction ⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎
The waiting line is cute. It's a ride that you just look at. Even if you don't understand Chinese, you can kind of understand.
Waiting line: Outside (partially roofless) → Inside (cute)
Morning and afternoon: About 40 minutes wait Evening: About 20 minutes wait
※Photos 1-4
② Seven Dwarfs My Train ⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎
Big Thunder Mountain with a little more lateral rocking. It's refreshing without a floating feeling. It's good for people who don't like screaming, but it's not enough for those who want a floating feeling.
Waiting line: Outside (uncovered)
Morning and afternoon: About 60 minutes wait Night: About 30 minutes wait
③ Pirates of the Caribbean⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎
Worth riding twice. My favorite. I've never seen Pirates of the Caribbean, but I enjoyed it.
Waiting line: Outside (covered) → Inside
Morning and afternoon: About 30 minutes wait Night: 5 minutes wait

④ Daytime Paredo⭐︎
Waited 20 minutes before. Maybe it was because it was hot, but it ended with about five characters appearing. It was a bit disappointing. Only the starting point was crowded, so maybe that was the only place that was luxurious?
Waiting time: The course is long, so you can go even with 0 minutes wait. If you're at the starting point, you'll wait 20 minutes.
⑤ Rex Coaster⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎
A U-shaped roller coaster in the Toy Story area. It's over quickly. This was the only attraction that was crowded at night. Recommended for those who like the feeling of floating.
Waiting line: Outside (roofed)
Morning and afternoon: About 40 minutes wait Evening: About 50 minutes wait
⑥Show⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎
You need a standby pass on this day. But it's easy to get one. Recommended for hot and cold days. Mainly singing. Characters that don't appear much in Japan, such as The Princess and the Frog and Zootopia, also appear. I enjoyed it even if I didn't understand Chinese. Definitely a good place to take a break.
Waiting line: Inside
Waiting time: Get a standby pass on your smartphone and head out when the time comes. Wait inside for about 20 minutes and enter from the front of the line
⑦Roaring Rapids⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎
A river boating attraction. Do they tend to check you out? No characters or anything like that come out. You'll get wet, so bring a really small raincoat from the 100 yen shop. They were selling them at the boarding area for about 200 yen. Whether you get wet is up to luck, but those who got wet were soaking wet. You should definitely wear a raincoat in winter. You might get a little drunk? Waiting line: Outside (unroofed → covered)
Daytime: about 50 minutes Night: about 30 minutes
⑧ Soarin'⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎
I heard that it's better in Japan, but I didn't know the difference. The content is similar. The area is a jungle area. We got in in about 30 minutes, so it was very good compared to the waiting time in Japan.
Daytime: about 40 minutes Night: about 20 minutes
⑨ Show⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎
A dance-focused show. Located in the jungle area. Recommended on hot and cold days. There are characters that don't often appear in Japan, such as Sugar Rush, Marie-chan, and Moana. The red panda character did not appear.
Waiting line: Outside (covered)

①⓪ Alice's Maze⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎
More of a photo spot than a maze. The theme is Alice in Wonderland. I recommend taking pictures of the castle from here.
Night: No waiting time

①①Once a Time Adventure⭐︎
A walk-through adventure where you can explore the world of the movie "Snow White". It's in Chinese so I didn't really understand it.
Night: No waiting time
※8th photo (You can take this photo even if you don't experience the attraction)
Meal break (we had pizza and doria)
We ate 3 sets of 2000 yen drink sets for 4 people and got full.
①②Peter Pan⭐︎⭐︎
A popular attraction that gives out standby passes on busy days. I have vague memories of Peter Pan in Japan, but it feels like it's just evolved a little. I didn't think it was worth buying a paid pass. Might be recommended for small children.
Night: 20 minute wait
①③Buzz Lightyear⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎
The same type of shooting ride that was originally in Japan. It's no longer in Japan, so I recommend it to those who are sad to see it go. It was fun to do it after a long time. At night, the wait was only 5 minutes, so I wish I had done it again. Night: 5 minute wait
①④ Pirates of the Caribbean
Second round. The wait time was only for walking the waiting line.
①⑤ Zootopia attraction
Second round. The waiting line was only indoors. And it moved so fast that it was hard to enjoy the cute waiting line lol
①⑥ Night show⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎
Projection mapping type show. Characters don't actually appear (only video). Everyone was taking videos. Longer than I thought. There were a lot of fireworks. It got me excited. Perfect for the end.
Waiting place: I was a little closer to the merry-go-round than the center. I waited 30 minutes before the show started, but I was able to see it from a pretty good position. If I didn't want to see it in the middle, I might have been able to wait a little closer.
*Other things you should be careful of, such as preparations before entering the park and meals, are summarized on another page! Please check it out if you like!
