#beachcheck When i set out to explore Fethiye, Oludeniz was the main reason. I had long read about its blue lagoon and the turquoise quality of its water. It had me so excited. And well rightly so. Although one of the challenges was the costs associated with Oludeniz. We found a decent accommodation and Oludeniz was a taxi ride away. During the stay we managed to visit it twice. It's a soft pebble beach where the water meets and looks absolutely stunning, just as we expected. However on both the occasions, it was fairly crowded. Though, that didn't deter us and we swam, strolling across the beach line. The prices did play a spoil sport to some extent. I mean 800 Turkish lira for the sun beds and then overpriced beverages and service charges. Especially with the crowds and all that, it didn't feel like it would be worth paying the premium. Anywho, Oludeniz still was with the trouble and anyone headed this way. I recommend exploring the rest of the Fethiye region too. Penarth is a beautiful seaside town and luckily my hometown, growing up here was amazing during the summers and it’s so nice to come back for a visit. The seafront has a long calm beach and the beachfront is lined with shops, restaurants and bars - newer independent coffee shops are also starting to appear. The highlight of the seafront is the Pier, built in 1898 it has become an iconic landmark for penarth and wales as a whole. The pier used to be a dock for steam boats that would cruise up and down the Bristol Channel. After a multi million pound refurbishment in 2013 the pier is now a big social hub for the area, the pavilion contains a cinema, cafe and ice cream parlours. Of course, if you're booking a trip, you'll always need a place to stay. Here, we booked El Nido Garden Resort. It's located in Calle Hama, Brgy. Buena Suerte, El Nido. For its rate, we got a comfortable bedroom with a balcony and a view, buffet breakfast, a nice and cozy ambiance, a large pool where we relaxed and a mesmerizing beachfront view where I got to watch the sky turn bright. The sun wasn't visible in the area but I enjoyed filming the sky at five in the morning. There was also a gym, a spa, and a billiards table. They also have a roofdeck where you can see the beach and the pool area. It's a really good place to just chill and drink. The restaurant has a homey feel to it and the staff would always greet you. The food was superb! Although there were limited choices for the breakfast, we surely enjoyed ordering their barkada set for dinner. They made up the room daily when we went out for our tour which is a plus because not all hotels do it unless you request it. The staff were approachable and would gladly give recommendations on places to be and to eat. We walked along the main street where most of the restaurants and bars are located. The prices, of course, are higher than usual so we just gotta choose wisely. A lot of souvenir shops are also open at night and there were people along the streets who sell bracelets and other accessories. Also, the hotel is only around 5-min walk to where we were picked up for our tours. No hassle in commuting daily for the tours. ENGR made our vacation much more relaxing and enjoyable. The guys played billiards, I got to watch the dawn and read my book in the pool area. If I ever go back to El Nido, it would be a pleasure to stay in ENGR again. This is an amazing place for those people who wanted to escape the crazy life of the city. Pattaya is not that far from Bangkok. The trip from Bangkok to Pattaya takes around 2 hours depending on traffic. When you go to Pattaya, Koh Larn is something that you would definitely want to check out. A lot of people actually spend their holidays here just to explore the island and have some relaxing time.
