HUNTING FOR LONDON’S BEST ROAST DINNER 🇮🇳 🍽️
HUNTING FOR LONDON’S BEST ROAST DINNER 🇮🇳 🍽️
This week we are visiting the Tamil Prince’s sister restaurant, @the_tamil_crown for their take on the British classic. Must orders are the lamb and onion bhaji’s, both elite level dishes. Masala chicken was really good too but the lamb trumps it for me. Soft, tender, fall off the bone with the combination of all the Indian spices, ridiculously good.

Largest Golden Hindu Tamil statue
#tripxplorproject
I explored Batu Caves, a mesmerizing geological marvel in Gombak, Selangor, Malaysia, boasting a complex of caves and Hindu temples dedicated to Murugan. Its ancient limestone origins date back 400 million years, and it's revered as one of the most significant Hindu shrines outside India. Founded in 1890 by K. Thamboosamy Pillai, the site has been a focal point for religious worship and cultural celebrations, particularly during the annual Thaipusam festival. Despite enduring historical events, such as the 1942 Communist Party meeting, Batu Caves remains resilient, symbolizing the enduring spirit of faith and devotion. In 2018, its 272 steps underwent a vibrant makeover, sparking a debate over conservation and modernization. Nevertheless, Batu Caves continues to stand as a testament to the convergence of nature, spirituality, and human endeavor, inviting all to experience its profound beauty and historical significance.

Oldest Tamil Temple In Penang, Full of colours
#tripxplorproject
As I wandered through the vibrant streets of Penang, my curiosity led me to the Sri Mahamariamman Temple, an architectural marvel tucked away in the heart of the city. Stepping through its ornate entrance, I found myself enveloped in a world of intricate craftsmanship and cultural richness.
The temple's facade was a symphony of colors, adorned with elaborate sculptures and detailed carvings that spoke of centuries of heritage. The towering gopuram, with its sculpted figures and vivid hues, stood as a testament to the skill and devotion of the artisans who crafted it.
Inside, the atmosphere was one of serenity and reverence, with the soft glow of oil lamps casting a warm light over the ornamental pillars and statues. The air was heavy with the scent of incense, mingling with the sound of prayers whispered in hushed tones.
Every corner revealed a new treasure, from the intricate ceiling adorned with mythological figures to the vibrant murals that adorned the walls, each telling a story of tradition and faith.
As I explored further, I couldn't help but marvel at the seamless blend of architectural styles, where East met West in a tapestry of cultural fusion. It was a testament to Penang's rich history as a melting pot of cultures and traditions.
Leaving the temple, I carried with me not only memories of its beauty but also a deeper appreciation for the diversity and heritage that define this enchanting city.
