[Hyogo Prefecture] Japan's most beautiful castle that never fought! Himeji Castle✨
Himeji Castle, a World Heritage Site, with its pure white castle tower shining against the blue sky 🏯
Also known as the "White Heron Castle," its appearance is as elegant as a white bird spreading its wings 🕊️
As the greatest masterpiece of Japanese wooden castle architecture, it miraculously escaped war and natural disasters and still retains its appearance from 400 years ago.
It is within walking distance from the station and is easily accessible. Once inside, you will be amazed by the maze-like passages and the structure calculated to prevent enemy invasion.
The view from the top floor of the castle tower is spectacular, and you can see the whole cityscape of Himeji ✨
It is also attractive that it shows different expressions depending on the season, with cherry blossoms in spring and autumn leaves in autumn. Himeji Castle is fantastic not only during the day, but also when lit up at night, it is like another world.
A place where beauty and strength, history and tranquility coexist.
If you come to Himeji, please visit Himeji Castle 🌷

[Hyogo🏯Himeji] Great value for money! Very satisfying for just 800 yen♡ A restaurant with a Showa-era feel
I was hungry when I visited Himeji Castle for sightseeing, so I went to this restaurant to fill my stomach first❤️
"Tonkatsu Iwashiro" is located in the shopping street right next to Himeji Station.
I visited around 12 o'clock, but it was full of tourists and locals💦
I really wanted to eat, so I lined up, and an older lady from a set meal restaurant kindly called out to me, so I decided to wait💕
The inside of the restaurant was a set meal restaurant with a Showa-era atmosphere😊
I ordered the most popular Sankaku Monogatari set meal, and as you can see, the portion was quite large! The sweet and spicy sauce was delicious, and I ate the whole thing❣️
It's amazing that this costs only 800 yen‼ ️
After that, Himeji Castle had a lot of ups and downs, and the stairs inside the castle were steep, so it was difficult, but I ate a lot,
so I was able to get through it😊
If you are visiting Himeji, please use this as a reference🥰

Kokoen Garden, Former Western Residence of Himeji Castle, located southwest of Himeji Castle
This is a Japanese garden with a pond and a strolling style, built using the remains of the samurai residences and other structures discovered during excavation surveys.
This is also very popular with foreigners, and it was difficult to take photos.
The gardens cover an area of about 10,000 tsubo (approx. 33,000 m2).
The gardens are made up of nine gardens, including the "Oyashiki Garden" with its waterfalls and ponds, and the "Tea Garden" with its Soju-an.
The gardens have also been used as locations for period dramas and historical dramas.
The gardens are also famous as locations for the filming of Rurouni Kenshin.
The gardens are planted with wildflowers that were popular in the Edo period, as well as various flowering trees and shrubs. "Flower Garden"
The highlight of this garden is the flow of water that draws gentle curves. It has a bright and open atmosphere.
The "Flower Garden" has an gazebo where you can take a break while watching the water flow.
The gardens are planted with many types of bamboo. In the center is the "Bamboo Garden," which has a gazebo inspired by a Japanese umbrella.
The Tsukiji fence that separates each garden also serves as a backdrop to hide unnecessary things.

[Hyogo x Spring Trip] Japan's Three Greatest Castles: Beautiful White Exterior "Himeji Castle"
📍Himeji Castle
68 Honmachi, Himeji, Hyogo
Opening hours 9:00-16:00
Admission fee 1000 yen
✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲
Himeji Castle is one of the three most famous castles in Japan.
Its beautiful white exterior is also known as the "White Heron Castle."
It is fantastic not only during the day but also when lit up at night.
Himeji Castle is one of only 12 castles in Japan that have a castle tower built before the Edo period.
It is also famous for its linked castle tower, and is designated as a national treasure.
Himeji Castle is also very popular with foreign tourists, and since it was a Sunday and there were cherry blossom viewing visitors, there was a long line to buy an admission ticket.
Himeji Castle is popular with inbound tourists, and the number of foreign visitors has exceeded 400,000.
Even when you enter the castle, it is difficult to move forward.
The biggest feature of Himeji Castle is that the roofs of the four castle towers are overlapped and show a different expression depending on the angle you look at it, so it is called "Happo Shomen".
To get to the castle tower, you have to go up a steep staircase, but there were so many people that they had to guide the people up the stairs while regulating the number of people going up, so it took two hours to get up and come out.

Experience a World Tour at Himeji's Taiyo Park!
Taiyo Park in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, is a unique theme park that makes you feel like you're traveling around the world as soon as you step in. The vast grounds feature replicas of famous world landmarks such as the Great Wall of China, the Pyramids, Moai statues, and the Arc de Triomphe.
The park is divided into two main areas: the 'Stone Area' and the 'Castle Area.' The European-style castle known as 'Shirasagi Castle' in the Castle Area is like something out of a fairy tale! Inside the white castle, you can enjoy a magical atmosphere with shining stained glass.
In the Stone Area, there are numerous photo spots that make you feel like you've wandered into a foreign land. Walking along the Great Wall of China, you'll feel as if you're really traveling in China!

It's divided into various areas and is so large that it's impossible to see everything lol

Kokoen Garden, next to Himeji Castle
There was a set ticket for Himeji Castle on sale, so I went to both.
There are nine gardens on the premises, all of which are beautifully maintained and are a great place to take a leisurely stroll in a Japanese garden✨️
This garden was used as a filming location for the movie Rurouni Kenshin: The Final Chapter, and there was a large poster at the entrance, with information like "This is the path for this scene..."
When you actually walk through the garden, you'll come across paths that you've seen before! It's fun to remember scenes from the movie☺️
You can eat inside, so you can take a relaxing break✨️

[Hyogo/Takasago] A lovely old-style cafe✨
🍚《Hyogo/Takasago》
Near Takasago-cho, Minato-cho.
This place is much nicer than I imagined.
A peaceful space surrounded by antiques and old tools.
A traditional Japanese cafe that I highly recommend✨
A healthy vegetable-focused Koin lunch☺️
Lots of small dishes on a tray,
The minced meat cutlet is freshly fried and crispy,
The steamed vegetables are sweet and delicious✨✨
You can choose between five-grain or white rice🙌
The appearance and taste are both great◎
You can even get a drink after the meal🥰
The place is full of female customers during lunchtime.
It gradually empties out during cafe time☺️
You can relax and chat a lot🙌
Right after you enter the shop,
there are lots of buttons and craft supplies for sale. The display is also super cute✨
It's worth coming even if it's far away🥰
I definitely want to come again✨

The 1500 yen admission fee is very satisfying!
There is also a 200 yen discount coupon on the website♪

It is a building from the mid-Muromachi period, and there are three buildings lined up in a large U-shape, including the dining hall and the Jōgyō-do.

[Hyogo] Did Susanoo-no-Mikoto descend to the summit and spend the night there? The filming location for "The Last Samurai" - experience Zen and copying sutras
"The Last Samurai" is also a famous location for the NHK historical drama "Gunshi Kanbei" (I watched "The Last Samurai" but didn't really understand it), but there's no doubt that it was impressive✨
The color and appearance of the wood had a powerful and sophisticated feel that didn't feel like it had aged.
There is a legend that Susanoo-no-Mikoto descended to the summit and stayed there for a night.
The first building you see is Maniden, which is built to jut out into the mountains, and is constructed in the same way as Kiyomizu-dera, with long pillars and crosspieces fixed to the cliff and a "stage-style" structure that supports the floor underneath.
Before this hall was built, the monk Shoku saw a heavenly being worshiping a cherry tree, and carved a Kannon statue into the trunk of a living tree with roots, which is how it was built.
A nice story...
