This place gave me a glimpse of real art.. Must-see when you’re in NYC! 😍 It was a busy day during our visit, and it was quite a challenge to take photos with some of the notable artworks. Nevertheless, we have enjoyed looking at each piece especially my best friend who is an art enthusiast and a painter herself 😉

Famous Colombian painter Botero’s Museum
Name📝: Museo de Botero (Fernando Botero)
Address📍: Cl.11 #4-41 Bogota, Colombia 🇨🇴
What’s special ✨: the style of the photo may look familiar to many, but how many actually know the painter is Fernando Botero - one of the most (if not the most) famous painters in Colombia.
Botero’s clout extends far beyond Latin America. His paintings are very popular in Asia as well and were exhibited in Tokyo before. One may also his counterfeit paintings in certain street markets in Asia - a symbol of his significance!

Qujiang Art Mueum is an amazing museum with Chinese and European art.
This temporary exhibition “Find meow notice” was incredible. It was mainly about cats, but there were also some interesting paintings about Minsk, Belarus.

Unfortunately the exhibition is already finished, but it was an awesome place, especially for cat lovers.

Hotel full of paintings
This hotel left quite an artsy impression on us as its hallways were filled with large-bordered, amazing paintings that really added colour to the spaces. These art works really lifted the ambience and also secretly gave us something aesthetic to do while waiting for other people in the common spaces. Great decorative elements in the hotel!
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Bulgarian art exhibition
When we were in Bulgaria, we chanced upon an art exhibition that was themed around sustainability. We got to see many students’ works of art in the various mediums, like paintings, sculptures and even wire models. It was a little difficult to understand some of them as there were no English descriptions though.

Ubud traditional art market
This traditional art market was my favourite location during my entire Bali trip as it had so many beautifully crafted items from the locals themselves. You can get handcrafted Ukeleles, paintings, woven bags and other merchandise. Super bustling and lively atmosphere as well. Made for great souvenirs to buy back home too!

Picasso Museum in Barcelona
Picasso is certainly a name that comes up when it comes to Spain. This museum has a comprehensive collection of Picasso’s life events and artworks- paintings, sculptures and scribbles. The interactive technology available in the exhibition also helps you appreciate the art more eg the audio device has a screen that applies x ray to Picasso’s paintings to show the use of lighting. #picasso #museum #paintings
RAPHAEL'S FRESCOES 🎨👨🎨
The Raphael's Rooms are without a doubt one of the highlights of the Vatican Museums, possibly coming in second only to the Sistine Chapel. The rooms served as Pope Julius II's personal quarters, and he gave Raphael the contract for the paintings. They were painted by the Urbino painter from 1508 till his death in 1520. His students carried on the job until 1524 after his death.
The Stanza della Segnatura (Room of Signature), which served as Julius II's personal library, is the most well-known space. The Disputation of the Holy Sacrament (theology), The School of Athens (philosophy), The Parnassus (poetry), and The Cardinal Virtues are only a few of the four frescoes that depict the four major areas of knowledge (Law).
The Stanza di Eliodoro ("Room of Heliodorus"), which was painted by the artist between 1511 and 1514, is the second room. With God's involvement in people's lives, the Church's spiritual and temporal power is elevated here. As an illustration, consider The Expulsion of Heliodorus from the Temple, in which Heliodorus of Antioch is seen being flogged by angels for attempting to profane the Temple of Jerusalem.
The Stanza dell'Incendio di Borgo and the Sala di Costantino are the other spaces where the students of Raphael are more active in their intervention.

Address - Sofitel Sentosa Resort & Spa, 2 Bukit Manis Road, Sentosa Island, Singapore 099891
I was pleasantly surprised to find that during our staycation here at Sofitel Sentosa Resort & Spa, there were many art works scattered all around the resort premises. Many of these can be seen in the Peace Wing and Tranquil Wing, where the rooms and suites are located.
Even within the rooms, there are tons of art works that grace the walls. I especially liked the small
sculptures of people belaying down the side of a wall, it was quite intricately done. Take time to marvel at these works on your stay here too!

Special art exhibition
Address - Funan Shopping Centre, 107 North Bridge Road, Singapore 179105
If you are in the City Hall area or near Funan Shopping Centre, do check out the art exhibition that can be found on level 2 of the mall! This is a really meaningful display of art works as these were created by students with special needs as an avenue to celebrate their talents.
The theme was for them to think about who their heroes might be, so there were paintings and drawings of healthcare personnel, family members and even civil defence forces! Was quite a touching expression of gratitude for the folks who keep us safe every day.

Paintings and LED concept art
Address - Akira Back, JW Marriott Hotel, 30 Beach Road, Level B1M Singapore 189763
The many paintings we saw here at JW Marriott Hotel’s Akira Back really put a spark in the interior environment! The colours and abstract lines added an air of refinement and elegance to the place.
All the way at the end of the restaurant was a semi-private dining area, with the centrepiece being the huge LED art piece! It morphed into various shades and hues but I can imagine if diners were facing the screen, it’d get annoyingly bright after a while.

The Royal Castle in Warsaw
The characteristic shape and distinctive color - you will not confuse this monument with any other. The Royal Castle is the former seat of the kings of Poland. Go inside and see the royal apartments and the Throne Room.
Pay attention to the original paintings by Rembrandt and the canvases of Bernard Bellott, known as Canaletto, which were used during the reconstruction of Warsaw, destroyed after the war. See also the Senator's Hall, where the May 3rd Constitution was adopted in 1791 - the first in Europe and the second in the world.
Finally, step into the beautifully recreated gardens: the upper one, situated on the castle slope, and the lower one, at its feet, where the river flowed until the 17th century. Carefully recreated in the style of the 1920s and 1930s, they are not only a complement to the residence, but also a dream space for relaxation.
A huge lawn, flower beds, fountains, labyrinths made of hedges several meters high will fill you with energy for further exploration. If you have more time, stay here longer - you will see what charm the garden takes on in the glow of the lights lit after dark.
In winter, on Castle Square, you will see an almost 30-meter Christmas tree - a permanent element of the city's Christmas illumination. Go for an evening walk and see the light canopies over Warsaw streets and other decorations.

Shanghai museum - Very nice!
Getting There - Near Dashijie subway station.
Attractions - Plenty of exhibitions such as: Ceramics, ancient Chinese sculpture, painting calligraphy, ancient Silk Road coins, and many more!
My personal favorite was the calligraphy exhibition.
Food & Restaurants - There are places where you can buy drinks and snacks.
I unfortunately didn’t have much time when I went
but I saw plenty of other visitors with headsets. Not sure what the language options are but if you have enough time, I’d recommend getting a pair.
I stayed for about 2 hours but I’d recommend over 3 hours if you don’t have a time constraint.
Enjoy your visit! ☺️

I recently visited the National Portrait Gallery in Washington DC and was really impressed by the art collection here. It was an enriching experience to see so many art exhibits. The most remarkable one was the American portraits section spanning over 100 years.
It is a perfect place to immerse yourself in art and creativity. This place has also a nice gift shop. This is very well curated.
