The Coca-Cola Museum in Atlanta will decorate many Christmas trees in Coca-Cola colors during the Christmas season in December. The bright red Christmas trees are super beautiful and have a festive atmosphere 🎈! The photos are very good! Entering the Coca-Cola Museum, there are exhibits of Coca-Cola advertising posters and packaging design history from different eras. I was very excited to see the Coca-Cola packaging that I had seen when I was a child😆! There is also an exhibition area dedicated to the secret recipe library of Coca-Cola formula, although the answer was never revealed in the end. After touring the second floor, you can take photos with the mascot polar bear 🐻❄️, and finally try the 100 flavors of Coca-Cola from various countries. Another hotel near the airport that I would like to recommend to my friends is the Atlanta Airport Marriott Hotel in the United States. The room is good according to the Marriott standard. The bed is comfortable to sleep in. There is tea and coffee in the room. The bathroom is clean. What I like is that there is a light around the mirror. Haha. World's very first B747-400 formerly owned by NorthWest Airlines (N661US, 6301) is being displayed outside and you can get very close to it. You can also take a look at the cockpit and take some lovely photos. The aircraft is well maintained and I highly recommend visiting this place especially aviation enthusiasts and of course others too. This bar has a live band. There are different food trucks outside every day. The American burgers are really good. The flavors are all classic. The hamburger patties are fried just right. The bread is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. There is a big park next to it. Great museum tour! Although it is located in the city center, there are plenty of parking spaces! Don’t be afraid of running out of parking space~ In addition, the entire museum campus is divided into many different administrative areas. Atlanta is a city that houses many iconic brands, such as CNN and Coca cola. Additionally, it's downtown core is a nice place to stroll through especially if you have several hours to spare while on layover at Hartsfield. The subway system is efficient and not overly expensive making the trip to the city quite enjoyable. Head over to the the different headquarters to get a glimpse at the behind the scenes of the companies. There's also an Olympic park which commemorates the 1996 summer Olympics. It's a great open space and a place to relax. Being the capital of the state of Georgia, you can also have a look at the Georgia State House, a beautiful golden building. The Quality Inn Atlanta airport South is a very affordable choice, which is a short ride away from Atlanta airport. The hotel is around a 5 mins drive away from the airport. What's great about this property is that there's a shuttle service that runs between the hotel and the Domestic Terminal every half hour; this makes it extremely convenient if you want to be near the airport for an early morning flight. The hotel itself is alright. It's fine for a one night stay, as it has all the basic necessities. The room itself is quite spacious but could use a bit more cleaning. Make sure to ask for a room that's quiet as the room I had was towards the street and there was constant noise throughout the night. A simple breakfast is also included; it consisted mainly of cold items, although there was a toaster and a waffle machine. I found it was quite adequate. There was also a small gym which is a nice touch. Overall, a simple and affordable property near the airport. Reminded today of when I visited #atlanta and the King National Historical Park. It is a moving place and one I very much recommend everyone visit at least once. It’s quite easy to walk here from Downtown, and I recommend doing so for the chance to enjoy some time for reflection. The Historical Park stretches over a couple city blocks with the focal points being King’s mausoleum and the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church building. The Atlanta subway is generally old but clean, and the security seems to be okay. There were not many people when I took it in the afternoon. This time I want to introduce the Peach Tree Center station. From this station, you can reach the city center of Atlanta, where many attractions are. This station is a good subway station for taking photos. It retains a large rock wall 🪨, which has a very primitive and nostalgic feel. Don't miss this station when taking the subway. On January 11th, 2023, the FAA called for a nationwide ground stop due to technical issues within their system. What was it really like flying during this ground stop? For me, it was really nerve wracking! Right as we were taking off, I was watching the news and saw a report that the FAA was stopping all planes! I was very confused at first, as we were taxiing to take off, and then proceeded to take off! I quickly went to twitter to check if it was true, and sure enough it was! We were originally headed to Atlanta to catch a flight to Tokyo (next post!) but we were rerouted to Greensboro and had to sit there for almost an hour and a half! Eventually the stop was lifted, but at that point I was bound to miss my connecting flight in Atlanta to Tokyo! But… thankfully I made it! Online tracking didn’t show my flight to Tokyo as delayed, so I had assumed that I missed it, but when I got to the gate everyone was still waiting there and boarding hadn’t even started 😅 Hopefully nothing like this happens again because it sure wasn’t fun!#FAA #groundstop #atlanta #tokyo #delta
