Love the atmosphere, it is a little French resto, but the quality of food is impressive. We got the 7 course set meal with wine pairings, every course was executed perfectly. Definitely must get the wine pairings as they matched so well. Given its popularity, I recommend making a reservation in advance. It serves premium priced high-end food served along with a lot of stories about this place and personal ones. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we are greeted by the manager and his team. He explains both the food and drink menu very nicely. They have a good wine collection. We ordered a Chateau du Pape for very good value. Their chef also shows his hospitality by coming out and spending some time to chat with us and share with us the story about the restaurant. We started our day in the heart of the city, exploring the Place de la Libération, with its stunning fountains and views of the Palais des Ducs. The entrance fee to the Ducal Palace was just €4.50, and it was worth every cent to see the beautiful art and historical exhibits. 🏰 Next, we visited the Musée des Beaux-Arts, located right in the palace. The museum was free, and it had an incredible collection of European paintings and sculptures. From there, we walked down the cobbled streets of the old town, stopping by Les Halles market to sample local cheeses, charcuterie, and, of course, the famous Dijon mustard! 🧀🥖 For lunch, we tried a traditional Burgundy dish called boeuf bourguignon at a cozy bistro, paired with a glass of local Pinot Noir. It was absolutely delicious! 🍷 In the afternoon, we climbed the Tour Philippe le Bon (entrance fee €3.50) for a panoramic view of the city, which was breathtaking, especially with the sun setting over the rooftops. 🌇 Dijon is also the starting point of the Route des Grands Crus, so we took a short drive to the nearby vineyards, which were beautiful even in winter. We got to dine at two restaurants during our stay here at Hotel G with our staycation package inclusions. Armed with our $50 dining voucher, the first restaurant we headed to was Ginett restaurant for dinner. The food was pretty good and portions were filling. I had the vongole tagliatelle while my husband had the scottish salmon. We came down to the second restaurant, 25 Degrees Burger Bar, for breakfast the next morning. They had a few different mains to pick from – we ordered the American breakfast and eggs special. Every guest is limited to only one set that comes with a serving of croissants, fruits and coffee or tea, anything more would require a top-up fee. Unfortunately, the food was really forgettable.
