One of my goals while staying in Singapore is to see all the murals all over the island. Depending on the area, the murals have varied themes. Gelam Gallery is an outdoor gallery showcasing murals and graffiti from local and international artists located at the back of shop houses in Muscat Street. The theme varies from cultural heritage to modern themes. This area is perfect for photos and the best thing is this is free. I have a Toronto Public Library Card and one of the benefits of having one is to be able to get a FREE PASS. So, I was able to get a FREE PASS from the library and went to the gallery on a Friday. I started going around at 2pm and tha gallery closes at 5pm. I only had 3 hours and I know that 3 hours is not enough to see so many paintings and art pieces. You can see a lot of Art on the 1st and 2nd floor. 3rd floor is only for special occasions or exhibitions. 4th and 5th floor for contemporary. Located at 203 Moo 16, Ban Tha Chang, Soi 6, Thanarat Road Pak Chong, this is an approximately 3 hours drive up north from the capital of Bangkok. This art musuem is a mix of contemporary arts and a twist of Thai culture into it, it is also said that this is actually a private musuem run by Mr. Pongchai Chindasuk, a business owner.
