Nice walking trail to the lighthouse. Water is very clear. Only problem is that’s it’s not easily reachable by public transport. If you are coming to ilchulbong, i think this place can be clubbed with it. Although each of them deserve being visited during sunset. It wouldn't be a waste of time to quickly drop by Supjikoji after visiting Sungsan Ilchulbong. You can see water closer in distance, Sungsan Ilchulbong, and Ando Tadao's building. We were fortunate to witness the Miscanthus in full bloom during our visit to Qingtiangang Grassland, located in Yangmingshan National Park, in December. The Miscanthus blossom in Yangmingshan is a beautiful seasonal event that typically occurs from late October to early December. During this time, vast fields of Miscanthus grass (also known as silver grass) bloom, covering the hillsides and creating a sea of soft, silvery-white plumes that sway gently in the wind. 2024 is definitely all about the healthy girl walk era. This trail walk is from Henley Beach all the way to Grange Beach 🏖️ in Adelaide and honestly it’s the most beautiful trail that I’ve been on it was super stunning. I think the trail goes all the way down to Glenelg beach as well, but I haven’t been on it yet. This walk just made me so mesmerized by every single spot that I’ve seen. especially since I went there more towards sunset around 4/5pm. There are numerous hiking trails in Yangmingshan of varying difficulty levels. I chose Qingtiangang Circular Trail, one of the easiest hiking trails to bring my two kids for a hike. The circular trail starts at Lingtouyan land god temple at Qingtiangang, passing Qingtiangang Grassland, Yangmingshan Ranch and leads back to the land god temple. The trail is around 2.4 kilometers long. The trail offers unobstructed views of the nearby Mt Qixing, Mt. Qigu, Mt. Huangzuei and Mt. Zhugao. Hallasan is the highest mountain in South Korea, located on Jeju Island. There are a few stunning hiking trails to explore this beautiful volcanic mountain. We chose Yeongsil Trail which is of moderate difficulty level and does not require a permit. The trail leads hikers through lush forests and offers spectacular views of the island and beyond. However it does not lead to the summit and also the crater lake. It was challenging enough for us who did not have proper hiking gears but thankfully we managed to complete the trail in 5.5 hours. Nambyeok Junction is located in front of Nambyeok of Donnaeko Trail, where the path to Witse Oreum and the path to Donnaeko area separate. We did not miss the chance to hike the Giant Tree Cluster Trail while we were in Alishan, Taiwan. The Giant Tree Cluster in is a stunning natural wonder. The giant trees are estimated to be over 1,000 to 2,000 years old, making them some of the oldest living things on Earth. The trees are primarily Taiwan cedars and cypress trees. The largest tree in the cluster is about 43 meters tall, with a trunk diameter of over 10 meters. The trees grew in a cluster due to the unique soil and climate conditions in Alishan, which allowed them to thrive and support each other over the centuries. What better way to admire the beauty of Alishan Scenic Area in Taiwan than to explore the ancient cypress forests on foot? Alishan is located in the mountainous region of Chiayi County and encompasses a vast area of forests, peaks, and valleys. We took the Alishan Forest Railway to from Alishan station to Zhaoping station. From there we followed the hiking trail and passed by Younger Sister Pond, Elder Sister Pond, the pig-shaped old stump before reaching the Magnolia Garden. Unfortunately the magnolias were not in bloom during our visit. We then stopped by Xianglin Service Area for a rest before we continued our hike through the Giant tree cluster trail. Xiaoliyuanshan Lookout, also known as Mt. Ogasawara, is one of the best sites for viewing the sunrise, sunset, and stars in Alishan National Forest Recreation Area. It can be reached by hiking the Zhushan Sunrise Trail which starts near to Zhaoping Station. Another easier way to reach there is by taking the Alishan Forest Railway to Zhushan Station. The train only operates in the morning before sunrise from Alishan train station and back within one hour after sunrise. From Zhushan station it will be a 600 m hike to the lookout point which is located 2488 m above the sea level. On a clear day, it is possible to have a close view of Tashan, Duigaoyue, and Wansui Mountain and Jianan Plains in the distance.
