This motto has made me eat lots of carbs, many times. The beautiful cakes, tasty sandwiches and the delicious garlic bread. I see many people to come back their steps from metro, either hungry, intrigued by variety of breads or just because the nice smell you perceive when you pass by. Even those looking at the phone are forced to look up. Where else are you going to find a Thor chocolate cake? They are proud to say their products are freshly made everyday. This weekend, Shanghai holds its famous World’s Coffee Cultural Festival in Jing’an district. Therefore, I decided to go on a quest to try different coffee shops and stands. This festival is only open for three days, although most of the stands are coffee shops you can visit afterwards. Bon Matín (Good Morning) bakery is a super cute French shop in Wujiang Rd that you must visit. Pastry is absolutely adorable, children get crazy with the chocolate bear cupcakes 🧁 🐻, I got crazy with the delicious garlic bread baguette. Definitely a place to visit if you want a quick dessert or you want to make someone happy (this includes yourself 😉). This bakery is mainly take out, but rest calm you won’t regret it. Personally, I adore those coffee shops/bakeries were you walk in front of it and get seduce by it’s smell, so you are forced to go inside.
