Turkey🇹🇷A Dreamlike Journey Through Pamukkale’s Cotton Castle☁️🏰
#mediterraneanvibes
Visiting Pamukkale was an unforgettable experience—like stepping into a surreal natural wonder sculpted by the gods. The terraced white travertines and turquoise thermal pools create a magical landscape that’s impossible to forget. Walking barefoot through the warm mineral waters while gazing at the glistening terraces was peaceful and almost meditative. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the ancient ruins of Hierapolis just above—it’s a perfect blend of nature and history.✨🪄
I recommend going early in the morning to avoid crowds and capture the best photos in soft light. Pamukkale is a must-visit for travelers seeking beauty, serenity, and a connection with Turkey’s ancient and natural heritage.📷
Absolutely — don’t forget the sunscreen!🌞The white travertine reflects sunlight intensely, and with all that exposed skin (since you’ll be walking barefoot), it’s very easy to get sunburned, even on cloudy days. Apply a high-SPF sunscreen and reapply regularly, especially if you're spending time in the water.
Also handy: sunglasses, a hat, and a water bottle. Pamukkale is stunning, but it does get hot! 😎👒

Mini-Hike in Çeşme: Stunning Views in Just 2 Hours
For a quick escape into nature near Çeşme, try this mini-hike to Karadağ Peak. Starting right from the city center, head towards 1070. Sk. 1 (38.313968, 26.301347) and follow the well-maintained dirt path. The route is easy to find on apps like Maps.me.
The hike to the peak (38.313411, 26.295567) is just 3.5 km one way, with an elevation gain of 170 meters, making it manageable for most fitness levels. The ascent takes about an hour or less, so the entire round trip, including time to soak in the views, will take just 2 hours.
At the summit, you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of Çeşme and, on the other side, the sight of the Greek island of Chios. This short adventure is perfect for those wanting a mix of light exercise and nice scenery.

Ankara city 🏙️
#citystroll
My trip to Ankara, Turkey’s capital, was an unexpected but delightful cultural experience! 🌍 This city is often overshadowed by Istanbul, but it has so much to offer. I started my visit at Anıtkabir, the impressive mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, which is free to enter and such a powerful tribute to modern Turkey’s founder. The atmosphere there was solemn yet inspiring.
The Museum of Anatolian Civilizations was another highlight, with an entrance fee of about 45 TRY. It’s a treasure trove of ancient artifacts dating back to the Hittites, Greeks, and Romans. Walking through its exhibits, I gained a deeper appreciation for Turkey’s rich history. 🏛
Kızılay Square, the bustling center of Ankara, is perfect for soaking in the city’s vibrant energy, with lots of cafes and shops nearby. I also recommend heading to the Ankara Castle for stunning panoramic views of the city—it’s especially beautiful at sunset. 🌅
Overall, Ankara is a quieter yet fascinating city, perfect for anyone interested in history and local culture.

Captivating Cappadocia
Cappadocia, located in the central Anatolian region of Turkey, is an ethereal landscape famed for its unique geological formations known as fairy chimneys, ancient cave dwellings carved into the rocks, and its historical significance that dates back to the Hittites. Today, it is a magical destination that captures the imagination of travelers with its otherworldly scenes and rich cultural heritage.
What to Expect
Visitors to Cappadocia can explore a network of ancient underground cities, such as Derinkuyu and Kaymakli, which served as refuges for early Christians. The open-air museum of Göreme showcases a cluster of rock-cut churches, with beautiful frescoes inside that tell stories of early Christian saints and martyrs. The landscape is dotted with distinctive fairy chimneys and vast, undulating valleys like Pasabag and Devrent, where nature has sculpted the rocks into spectacular shapes.
Experiences and Recommendations
A hot air balloon ride at sunrise is an iconic Cappadocia experience, offering unparalleled views of the valley as it fills with dozens of colorful balloons. For the adventurous, hiking in the Rose Valley or Love Valley provides close encounters with the region’s natural beauty and opportunities for spectacular photography. Staying in a cave hotel is also a must; these hotels offer modern comforts while preserving the ambiance of ancient dwellings.
Tips and Tricks
The best times to visit Cappadocia are during the spring (April to June) and fall (September to November) when the weather is temperate and the landscapes are most vibrant. Wear comfortable shoes as the terrain can be rocky and uneven. It’s also advisable to carry water and sun protection, especially when hiking the valleys. Make reservations for hot air balloon flights well in advance, as they are extremely popular and can book up quickly.

Personal Reflections
Waking up early for the hot air balloon ride was well worth the effort. Floating silently over the surreal landscape as the sun illuminated the valleys was a truly magical experience. The sense of peace and timelessness was profound, as if the modern world had momentarily paused.
For anyone with a love of nature, history, and unique geological features, Cappadocia offers a journey into a land of wonder. It's a place where every turn reveals new marvels, rooted in both the past and the spectacular forces of nature.

Cave Hotel @ Turkey
When you visit Turkey, you should at least try to stay at one of the cave hotels. It was a new experience to be in the room with deem light and concrete rock all around. Such a romantic or scary vibe in room but surrounding area are great!
Breakfast here is also international standard which I can take bread, eggs, ham and cheese. Truly an enjoyable breakfast with view. Walking around there's another cave building. Look like very plain on sight but actually amazing experience inside and within the area.

Ephesus Turkey
Let me bring you to the wonderful site of turkey. A great historical Ephesus city which is recorded in the Holy Bible. The sun is up, it's super hot because of summer, but wonderful statue and building bring me joy.
In this trip what I can eat everyday is bread and cheese while enjoying sea and ancient historical sites. I did engage tour agency so I won't get lost since my local friend couldn't make it.
The tour guide explain to us each site meaning and history but I couldn't absorb it all because my point is to chill and enjoy. Why bother about the rest?

Rumeli Feneri in the Bosphorus
We love exploring Rumeli Feneri and enjoy the wonderful views of the Black Sea. Rumeli hisari stood on the top off hill at the outskirts of the most narrow bosphorus Strait. In this castle there are 6 large cannon that can fire a projectile weighing 300 kg at so-called "Basilica Cannons". the officer inspected strictly me to enter this area . Visitors are not allowed to bring food into the area of the Fort. All tourists who visit there also expect to be careful if want to go up because the ladder are not completed with secure handrail. To get here, you need to drive your private car or opt for public buses though it will take longer 🌟🌼🌦 #summervacation #beachvacation #exploreturkey

Fatih Mosque
Nice to visit if you are in the area as is less touristy. It was commissioned by Mehmet II the Conqueror (Fatih means “the conqueror”) so the mosque and the area is named after him. A monumental mosque was built after a spectacular action to conquer Constantinople. However little survives from the initial original mosque as it was destroy years later by an earthquake and rebuilt with a different style. There is a mausoleum for the king in the same complex. If you go there, spend some time in the surrounding area. Nice atmosphere and authentic experience with all the local shops in the streets leading to the mosque 🕌🌟⛅️🌼 #solstice #urbanexplorer #summervacation #exploreturkey

Stunning historical building
Zinciriye Madrasah was built in 1336, so thus building is almost 700 years old, yet it’s still there standing strong and beautiful! It is a perfectly authentic place that carries the traces of old culture and tradition and works actively. Beautiful architecture in Mardin. It was used as a study place before, now it’s more like a library and a tourist attraction place. You need to get rid of all the noise of the city and listen to the experience the beauty of its historical structure. You can also see the beautiful plain from here! A must visit place when you come to Mardin, and it’s a free entrance too! 🏰🌤🌟🍃 #roadtrip #urbanexplorer #summervacation #hikingtrails #mardin #exploreturkey

The old Assyriac Monastery
Though the Deyrulzafaran Monastery is a short bus ride away from Mardin, it is a world away. You will be surpised that behind the beautifully crafted gates, there is a beatiful monastery which was built in the 5th century. This is an active Monastery - with services held every Sunday. Though a Holy site for centuries, the facility is open for tourists to experience. They have tours that run approx. 30 min. and often, the tours are packed, so there is ample space to wait at the Cafe near the entrance. However, the tour is mostly in Turkish. The first printing press of Anatolia is housed in this Monastery. Do make the trip over, you won't be disappointed! 🏰🌟🌤 #roadtrip #urbanexplorer #summervacation #exploreturkey #historicculture

The historical bridge in Amasra
We parked our rented car on the beach side, by paying 10 TL on the roadside, and walked around the city on foot. Good thing we did. The places to visit are close to each other in this area . Pass the Kemere bridge and take a walk in the streets of amasra, taking in the sea air. Because the opposite side of the bridge used to be a castle, there are castle gates and narrow streets. It is the bridge that connects Sormagir Neighborhood in Amasra and Boztepe-Zindan Neighborhood in ancient times, the bottom of the bridge was covered with pebbles. You will get an amazing view from here 🍃🌿🌤 #roadtrip #nationalpark #summervacation #exploreturkey #theblacksea

Ottoman style hotel
This hotel is named Sari Konak hotel, located in the old town of Safranbolu. The location is just a few hundred meters from the city center, where you can find all the beautiful shops and delicious restaurants. The hotel is very beautiful, the lower floor is made of stone while the upper floor is made of wood, making the atmosphere of this hotel so cozy and beautiful! It also has a beautiful garden at the back, where you will enjoy a traditional Turkish breakfast in the morning! Average price on weekdays is around 180 TL per room for two people (about 20 USD) which includes breakfast! I would give this hotel a 5 out of 5 rating! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 #roadtrip #urbanexplorer #summervacation #exploreturkey #historicculture

The old Medresesi
Kasimiye Medresesi is one of the oldest building in Mardin, Turkey. I was surprised about this place, because it was completed in 1502 and considering its age, is in remarkable condition. I recommend you to visit this elegant, beautiful and peaceful place when you go to Mardin. This building, which is one of the best engineering and architectural masterpiece of that period, was used as an university, as well as a lighthouse for the caravans traveling on the Silk Road. The lanterns were burned on the roof of the building so that the caravans could find their way at night. The area is not that big, you can just spend around 30 mins to one hour to walk around plus enjoying the view of the landscape outside 🌟🌤🌿🍃 #roadtrip #urbanexplorer #summervacation #historicculture #exploreturkey

Ottoman Style City
Safranbolu is one of the UNESCO world heritage city in Turkey, where this city is a typical and one of the oldest Ottoman city. Here it has a very beautiful ottoman-style buildings, streets, mosques, food, and even all those hand-made Ottoman-style accessories and souvenirs! This city has two parts, one is the new city, where it’s just a normal looking city, while the other is the old city center, which consists only by the beautiful and traditional buildings. So whenever you visit, make sure to get a hotel in the old city part so that you will experience staying in the Ottoman building 👀🌟🌿🍃🌤 #roadtrip #urbanexplorer #exploreturkey #safranbolu
