Aside from the island’s blue waters and white sand, Boracay also offers a mouthwatering variety of food. Some restaurants have already built-up a following thus making these restaurants a tourist spot themselves. As we only have a short period of time, we couldn’t try all the popular restaurants. We also used this food tripping to visit all the stations in Boracay. Listed below are the restaurants we’ve tried with it’s corresponding arrangement as uploaded. 1-5. Café Maruja – Located in Station 3, it’s a beachfront café that serves all-day brunch food. They’re especially famous for their instagrammable smoothie bowls. 6-8. Cha-cha’s – Located in Station 2, this beachfront café is the in-house restaurant of COAST. They’re also famous for their Ube Champorado, which I really loved. 9-12. Maya’s Filipino Cuisine – Located in Station 1, this beachfront restaurant serves Mexican and Filipino food. They also serve Jony’s Fruitshake. We devoured all the food we ordered here. 13. Coco Mama – Located in Station 1, his shop is also famous for its instagrammable coconut ice cream. It was also good for me, as I love sweet things. 14-17. Mama’s Fish House – Located at Diniwid beach, this restaurant is situated next to Microtel. They are famous for their paella, and it was so good! 18. Halomango – Located in D’mall Station 2, this shop sells mango ice cream. One of the many activities in the famous island of Boracay is the land tour. This is also a nice addition to your itinerary when visiting the island aside from water activities. It is a different experience to go around the island by traversing the roads as you’ll be passing by the local neighborhood. You can arrange the land tour without online booking. There will be a lot of vendors offering this activity right as you arrive the island. The prices depends on the vehicle, no. of people, and the itinerary. You can also haggle down the price a bit and compare to other vendors. We engaged a tour operator by the shore and arranged the details via text. Our itinerary is based on what my family and I wanted to see with the tour lasting for 3 hours. The tour is flexible regarding drop-offs and duration. You may extend for a fee but it depends whether the driver have another booking or not. We tipped our driver as he was very helpful especially in taking our group photos. Banh Mi Huynh Hoa is a famous banh mi shop. It was my first banh mi ever and it was good!! I liked that they separate the veggies when you order allowing me to customize it. Café Apartments' The Letter Café - there were no other people so we were able to take all the photos that we want. The interiors were so pretty. The drinks were also good. It was also my first time trying Vietnamese coffee. Second café we visited in Cafe Apartments was the Good Day Café. We were again lured by the entrance and pretty bohemian interior photos. Here we tried some unique drinks and a slice of cake. A street food we found between book street and the post office is Banh Trang Nuong or grilled rice paper tacos. This was so good! Egg, pork, cheese, and some sauce as filling makes up this delicious street food. Secret garden is a beautiful rooftop restaurant hidden in an alley, near some of the tourist spots. You have to climb a tiring amount of stairs as there’s no lift to reach the restaurant. The restaurant was packed! Everything that we ordered was good! The ambiance and décor was great. The lights gave off a whimsical feeling while dining. Would go back to this restaurant again! We had pho in Ben Tanh Market after shopping for souvenirs. We just went to the first shop that we saw and we did not regret it. The pho tasted very good. We paired it with green mango shake. The famous coconut coffee from Cong Caphe we tried near Tan Dinh Church was also one of my favorites. It’s a blended ice drink perfect for the hot weather outside. We made a reservation for Blank Lounge in Landmark81. We bought cocktails to cap off our second day. The experience was thrilling as we were seated alfresco on the 75th level of the building! Our last meal before going back to Singapore was in Saigon Center at Som Thai. Food was good. So far everything we ate in this trip were all tasty, no complaints. Maison Marou is a must visit for chocolate lovers. We bought souvenirs from here and took a break for a bit. Just spent a very chill weekend in 📍Genèva, Switzerland 🇨🇭There are so many things to do even you’re not a Skiier fan ✨ However when you walk around the city the snowy mountains would definitely caught your attention and tempt you the idea of learning skiing 😆 Anyway the food is great here, have to mention the cheese fondue🫕 Ohalala! while you’re enjoying your time in Genèva, please don’t forget to walk to Jet d’Eau and lie down on the bench and watch the sunset 🌅 it’s beautiful 🤩 just so you know, Genèva have a very comprehensive public transport system. Every corner in Singapore is filled with good food. From traditional local Singaporean food to restaurants and cafes. There is a stretch in quiet Robertson Quay called the quayside that's filled with tons of cafes. From good coffees, to amazing brunches to even wood fire pizza and even japanese yakitori. Most of the cafes open early morning at 7.30, even on weekdays. My favourite one to go to for freshly roasted aromatic coffee is Toby Estate but it does get crowded by 815 on weekends especially(mostly filled with cyclists) so do head down early! For good brunches there is prive, beast and the butterflies or even bomerang(australian cafe). Robertson Quay is also popular among couples in the evening, allowing nice romantic strolls by the river, bridges and trees lighting up with decor and many restaurants there alsp open from 12noon till 10pm and some even later on weekends. The entire stretch is a bicycle friendly, dog friendly place as well. So head down for both an enjoyable brunch or dinner at Robertson Quay! FYI, also this is also a popular staycation place for many locals. A green room💚 A night's sleep is healthier for your eyes😆 The little princess loves to see #paddingtonbear from the UK, and hopes to live in the attic/tree house like Paddington😅 That's right... they'd rather sleep on the porch than a room 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm afraid of being crowded with people when I go to a hotel staycation, so I looked at the Grand Princess's calendar. I saw a weekday holiday at the end of May on Teachers' Development Day, so I booked a room a month in advance🤫 👯‍♀️ Thoughts after wearing the big and small princess: ✅ Entering the room the big princess can not wait to climb the stairs to the tree house, the little princess is responsible for taking care of cowboys, deer on the lower floor, two sisters keep climbing up and down 🤣 Just play the room has a long time to play, and the tree house area is paved with thick carpet, 2.5-year-old little princess climbs up and down no difficulty, but her mother is afraid she goes up and down too fast🤦🏻‍♀️ ❎kids room, reading room maintenance not open ❌ The swimming pool is a standard pool 0.9 m water depth, the little princess has to hold me all the way to play in the water 😅 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 Parents' thoughts after living: ✅ The hotel room has enough space, there is a pantry in the room, the stove is an open kitchen. The in-room facilities are considered old-style hotel, with some signs of age, but still neat. Room view of #Tsing Ma Bridge sea view, the #homeoffice view is quite sunny. The hotel can provide parking spaces, it is best to make a reservation when booking, because parking spaces are limited, if there is no space, you can park nearby public parking spaces. ❎Although it is a #family themed room, the bathtub is lacking❌ The hotel dining is not so attractive, at night you have to take a shuttle to Donki to find food, but the shuttle to Tsuen Wan West is sparse, we took a taxi back. How to book?💻 The hotel's website is mysterious, I searched all over and I couldn't find anywhere to book a theme room, so I ended up sending an email to make a reservation🥲 Reflection 💡 I'm not a #staycation expert, but this price includes tax and breakfast, which I think is quite cheap. Sunday Lunch Out at Mt. Malarayat 🍽️🌿 We dropped by Mt. Malarayat Golf & Country Club in Lipa for a quiet family lunch — and it did not disappoint! The mountain breeze, lush greens, and peaceful surroundings instantly set a relaxing mood. We dined at the Sand Trap Lounge, where the ambiance was cozy and the service was attentive. The food was on the pricier side, but portions were generous and flavors were spot-on. We ordered classic Filipino dishes — bulalo, crispy pata, and sinigang — perfect for sharing. Even the kids enjoyed the meal (plus the fresh bread from the on-site bakery!). After lunch, we took a short walk around the garden area and admired the golf course views.
