If you’re visiting Battambang, a trip to Ek Phnom is a must! This peaceful and slightly hidden gem perfectly blends spiritual beauty with historical wonder. 🌸 What I Loved: As soon as I arrived, the giant Buddha statue immediately captured my attention. It’s truly impressive, towering over the old temple ruins and offering a calm, serene vibe. I couldn’t help but take a moment to pause and pray—it felt really peaceful and grounding. Right behind the statue, I found the ancient ruins of the old temple, crumbling yet beautiful in their own way. The site may look abandoned, but that’s exactly what makes it feel magical—like you’ve stumbled upon a forgotten part of history. Walking around the ruins, I could imagine how grand it must have been in its prime. 🍃 Vibe: Quiet, calm, and not crowded at all. It’s a great escape from the busy city. 📍 Location Tip: Ek Phnom is about a 30-minute tuk-tuk ride from Battambang city center. We made a quick visit to the famous Bat Cave in Battambang but didn’t go all the way up the mountain. Since we only had one day to explore before heading back to Phnom Penh at 4 PM, we just took some photos around this amazing Buddha carvings. If you really want to see the bats in action, the best time is around 5:00 PM when they start flying out of the cave. Even Google Maps shows that the Bat Cave officially opens around 4:00 PM. Sadly, we couldn't stay that long, but we still had a great time soaking in the view and snapping some nice shots. #springitinerary During my five-day stay in Kuala Lumpur, I picked four hotels that caught my interest, each with a distinct style. If none turn out disappointing, I’ll share my thoughts on each one in the coming days. Last night, I stayed at Else Kuala Lumpur, which was the hotel I was most excited about among the four. It’s a converted 1930s Art Deco building, blending a rugged yet refined style while preserving the tropical Southeast Asian vibe. The hotel’s central area removed parts of the original floors but kept the load-bearing structures, allowing a lot of natural light to flood in. The lighting design is incredibly thoughtful and professional. Every detail is perfectly symmetrical, creating a super comfortable atmosphere. Beyond the structure, I really loved their choice of materials. Unlike other tropical hotels I’ve visited before, Else uses many low-saturation wall colors and exposed concrete beams. It’s far from the usual overused materials that get boring after a while. Especially notable are the concrete columns scattered throughout the hotel—they feature classic Art Deco stepped designs. This small detail is definitely something I want to incorporate into my own new store design.#WeekendVibes

A few days ago I found a new restaurant in Yuen Long that had only been open for a month. From the facade, I thought it was just a bar, but it actually looks like an izakaya in Japan! Been to Zhuhai many many times but never ever had a trip like this all these years. Booked a car on trip.com and whole day driving around exploring the city. We went to a very famous temple in Zhuhai and the 2 new attraction spots which are very popular nowadays - the beacon and the musical theatre. The temple is very nice and we all took a lot of pics. It’s located along a river on a hill so we all needa hike a bit.
