#Mu travel destinations "Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car" has 3 types of cable cars to choose from: a normal cable car, a crystal cable car with a clear floor, and a crystal plus cable car. We booked from Trip.com for a round trip of 1,470 baht. On the way there, the Crystal Plus was less crowded, so we got to sit privately. It was fun to take pictures. When we arrived at the Big Buddha, we could see the greatness of the Buddha statue in front of us in full view. Alright, so you’ve made it to Hong Kong, now what? I suggest you go to Address-Ngong Ping Rd, Lantau Island Why? To see the Big Buddha statue of course! Another thing I suggest if you don’t mind, is opting for a crystal cable car (glass bottom). I took that one and I saw the lush green scenery of the trees beneath my feet and the teal of the water as I made the journey to the island. The crystal car is more expensive than the regular one and honestly, since I paid for that one-I can you it’s not at all necessary if you decided to opt out. The best benefits of the crystal car was that I had a whole one to myself (usually sit 8-10 people) and there was no line when I was ready to hop on and off. Operation time is from 10am-6pm. I spent the entire day here because it was a task to get great pictures and videos free of other tourists milling about. It’s a popular destination afterall. Make sure you have a hearty breakfast before you go, I don’t remember any restaurants there. Oh and pack a powerbank. If you ended up like me and both powerbank and phone are low on battery, there is small place close to what you’d call the town where the shops are, that you can use to recharge so long as you have your charging cable. I’m sorry I don’t remember the name but after leaving big Buddha, the store is on your right and there is this coin machine inside and lots of pamphlets talking about butterflies. Don’t mean to be dramatic but I felt that place saved my life cause I don’t know what I’d have done without my phone. Also, if you have no charging cable, get one at 7-Eleven there. This is my first try for the Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car! When I was taking the cable car, it was the time for sunset. From the cable car, I could see the stunning sunset with sea-view. Finally Hong Kong is also opening up their boarder too. One of the myst go for me as a tourist in Hong Kong was to Ngong Ping 360 where you are able to sit cable car up to another side to see a small Ngong Ping village and a big temple too. There are standard cabin or the crystal cabin. Crystal cabin means the base of the cable car is actually transparent with a thick glass!! It was such an experience to sit in the crystal cabin as you will pass by mountains, top trees and the sea!! My favourite is the sea view from bottom. It was blue and nice from my view. I also had the whole crystal cabin to myself as so this call for a photoshot inside! The price for crystal cabin is more expensive but there are packages available as well since you will need a round trip for this. NgongPing Village is Located on Island away from hustle of HongKong. There are many places to visit here, from fancy restaurants to Monastery to Hike with view, all make this a great weekend gateway in HongKong. There are many ways one reach to village, by bus, By taxi, hike or by cable car. One thing to keep in mind is that the weather up on hill changes frequently. When we took cable car from cable car station, it was sunny and when we reach up in village it was all cloudy and we were not able to see Big Buddha as it was so foggy that it was not visible. There is beautiful treks and Monasteries and restaurants serving various options. Vegan, Vegetarian all food available. You can take a small hike to the dragons back, it gives beautiful view of the city. From cable car as well you can see airport. Macau and HongKong Bridge, there are 2 type of trolley available- One with glass floor so you will be able to see down from the trolley. The aerial lift was previously known as Tung Chung Cable Car Project before acquiring the ngong ping 350 brand in april 2005. It. consists of the ngong ping cable car, formerly known as the ngong ping 360 skyrail. Ngong Ping 360 is owned by the MTR Corporation the operator of Hong Kong's rail system. It was built by Leitner Ropewaysand was originally operated by Skytrail ITM. Skyrail-ITM was removed from the project after an investigation following an incident in June 2007.
