"Va Bene" will return to Hong Kong in 2020 and will be located in Another Town.
The restaurant is decorated in a modern and stylish style, the atmosphere is a bit lively, the main customers are family gatherings or friends gatherings; it feels not suitable for boyfriends and girlfriends or couples to hang out.
As with all western restaurants, a free bread basket is served before enjoying the main course. The three noodles include different flavors, some are fluffy; some are hard and crispy on the surface, soft on the inside, a bit like French long bread; some are more powdery and taste slightly sour.
##va Bene Super Cheese Trifola ($198)
As you can tell from the name, the ingredients of the pizza are all cheese and no meat at all. Cheeses include Taleggio, Ricotta, Padano and truffle mozzarella. The pizza pie is made on-site at the restaurant. When you bite into it, the surface of the pie is crispy and a little charred; the inner layer is fluffy and full of wheat flavor. The cheese is very rich, coupled with the unique aroma of faint black truffle, I didn't expect that pure cheese pizza is quite good.
##Australian Wagyu Premium Beef Tomahawk ($988) The ax steak is actually a rib-eye steak with ribs, each weighing at least 1.2kg, enough for four people to share.
After a few minutes of resting, the five-mature tomahawk was sucked back, and after cutting the steak, there was no blood or water to seep out, only the light pink heart and faintly distributed fat, and it was salivating before it was eaten.
This ax steak is sweet and oily, and the surface is grilled until it has a crispy texture. It's really delicious. Even the fat on the edge of the ax steak, due to the same roasted surface charred, excess oil and has been roasted melted dripping away, the remaining fat is equally good to eat.

The pork saddle is roasted until it is 90% cooked. The checkered burnt pattern caused by the oven makes the pork saddle more fragrant. Cut the pork saddle and see the different pork textures on both sides. The pale white pork plum steak is soft and juicy; the soft meat near the pork saddle bone has more layers of obvious fat.
As for Va Bene's apple puree with barbecue gravy is excellent; the sweet and sour fresh apple flavor is unadulterated and matches the pork saddle very well; the fruity, apple sweetness and the oily aroma of the pork saddle further enhances the pork saddle meat flavor.

After boiling the pasta, sauté it slightly with the cream sauce; then place it in the whole Parmesan Cheese wheel while it's hot, using the residual heat of the pasta to melt the cheese to create a rich and thick sauce. The sauce is rich and cheesy; although the noodles are not homemade, the ingredients are superior, smoky, bouncy and crunchy.
Tonight I tried pizza, steak, pork saddle, and pasta, all the main dishes of the family-style Italian restaurant. The taste of each dish is excellent. Rarely not expensive and reasonable portions;definitely one of the first choice Italian family-style Western restaurants for friends gatherings.
