Booked a lunch spot with “a nice view” — didn’t realize I’d be dining face-to-face with an actual volcano. There I was, eating fried rice like a queen, while Mount Batur just sat there in the background like, “Yup, I’ve erupted before. You’re welcome for the vibes.” The breeze? Chef’s kiss. The food? Spicy enough to make me question all my life choices. The view? So good I forgot to Instagram my meal — almost. Started my day with Ubud’s peaceful vibes—rice terraces, temples, the whole spiritual package. Then my supir casually says, “Let’s go to Kintamani.” I thought we were just sightseeing… next thing I know, I’m having nasi campur with a volcano view! 😱🍽️🌋 Yes, friends. 📍Mt. Batur view spot We had lunch at Akasa Kintamani with the amazing view of the big volcano mountain Mt.Batur. This is an active volcano 🌋 and last erupted in year 2000. We had an amazing coffe here followed by lunch with the fantastic view. After the lunch we drove down hill to an area that was covered with volcano rocks. Reziki can glamp near Bali. His tent is directly facing the lake. In front of Mount Batur, Mount Abang, Mount Agung. He has that view to this day and can't move on anymore. He has two types of accommodation. Glamping with Villas. We book Glamping because we want the lakeside view. Just open the tent in the front. But for those who are fussy and don't like that, we don't recommend glamping. Take the villa type. I forgot to take a picture of the room. We borrow google images. Near Bali, apart from playing on the beach, you can also climb mountains. But we didn't climb the mountain, we just rented a jeep to see the sunrise at Mount Batur. For a little other experience for the children. Glamping price rm150 (380,000 rupiah) includes breakfast. Jeep sunrise tour 450,000 rupiah for 1 jeep. There is another place called Bobocabin. It was really worth it! To be able to arrive at the destination, you will need a car (duhhh… definitely! haha). As it will take some time to arrive, you can sleep in the car as you will need to wake up earlier than you can imagine. Let me remind you to bring sweater/thermal clothing as it can be cold when you arrive at the meeting point destination. Sweater or down jacket can be helpful too and please wear proper shoes to prepare yourself against the cold feet. Fret not, it is really really worth for waking up early! Sunrise at Mount Batur was amazing. I started hiked at 03.30 AM, and i saw the milky way from start point, so beautiful. It took around 2 hours from start point to summit. But you can use motorbike taxi, and continue hiking for around 30 minutes. The track is quite easy, there is asphalt, rocks, dirt. I arrived at summit at 5.30 AM, waiting for the sunrise, enjoying the sky color transition, from purple, red, orange, yellow, and i felt above the clouds. At the summit, there are stalls which sell instant noodle, coffee, tea, mineral water, etc. If you never do hiking before or don’t know the track, I recommend to use local guide, you can search at internet “Guide Mount Batur”.#mountbatur #mountain #hiking #kintamani #explorebali

The beginner-level trek (1.5-2 hours) though at some parts challenging, is worth it. The sunrise is stunning at the summit - you can even see Lombok from there! I opted for 4x4 jeep tour (1,200,000 IDR for 2 pax) up to Mt. Batur instead of hiking. Woke up at 4am and taking the drive up the mountain was both thrilling and breathtaking. The early morning air is crisp and the sky is still dark, but the anticipation of the sunrise is palpable. As the sun begins to rise, the sky is illuminated with a beautiful orange and pink hue. This place came highly suggested from a friend’s friend, so we decided to head on over wee hours of the morning from Ubud to see if we were lucky to catch a good sunrise as well.
