My Four-Day Sydney Adventure: Non-Stop Walking! 🇦🇺🚶♀️
#summervacay
I just had an incredible four-day trip to Sydney, and let me tell you, I walked every single day! It was a non-stop exploration of this fantastic city.
Sydney truly offers so much to see and do. From its iconic landmarks to its vibrant neighborhoods, there was never a dull moment. My strategy of "walking everywhere" really paid off, allowing me to soak in the atmosphere, discover hidden gems, and get some amazing photos along the way.
I'm already looking forward to my next visit to uncover even more of Sydney's charm!

On top of the world just a stones throw from San Francisco!
Have you ever wondered what it feels like to be top of the world? Feeling like you’re floating above the clouds with only atmosphere standing between you and the stars.
This is something you can experience at Mount Tamalpais, just like I did!
Located just outside the city limits of San Francisco, Mount Tamalpais benefits from the unique geography of the historic bay nestled on the banks of the Pacific Ocean.
On some days, you can enjoy panoramic vistas of the cityscape below. On others, you can benefit from the otherworldly cloud inversions that mean you can step above the clouds and feel like you’re floating on air.
This was what I enjoyed on my visit to this natural beauty spot. And what a delight it was!
Watching as the sun set over this beautiful spot, I felt so grateful that I added this to my itinerary in what can be a bustling city with a lot to do. You won’t regret it if you make a stop to this mountaintop.

My Madrid Day: Uncovering Secrets & Iconic Sights! 🇪🇸🐻🌳
#summervacay
My Madrid day was packed with fascinating history and iconic beauty, seeing the city with new eyes thanks to some quirky "cold facts"!
Morning: Gates, Guilds, & Grand Squares ✨
I started at Puerta del Sol, standing on the famous "Km 0" plaque, imagining it as a simple 1860 survey point. Then, I explored the magnificent Plaza Mayor, soaking in centuries of history. I made sure to find the Bear and Strawberry Tree statue, recalling its medieval tale of Church vs. Guild over land rights. Finally, I admired the grand Puerta de Alcalá, another historic "gate" to the city.
Afternoon: Riverside Reflections & Royal Grandeur 👑💧
After a tasty lunch near Gran Vía, I visited the majestic Royal Palace and the beautiful Almudena Cathedral. Later, I strolled along the Manzanares River in Madrid Río Park, chuckling about how this once-mocked "pathetic river" now anchors lovely green spaces.
Evening: Sunset & Local Vibes 🌅🍽️
I ended my day watching the sunset from the ancient Temple of Debod, offering stunning city views. Then, it was off to La Latina or the Literary Quarter for a delicious dinner and to soak in Madrid's vibrant evening atmosphere!
It was a brilliant day, blending famous landmarks with intriguing historical tidbits. Madrid truly has layers!

🎨🛹 Barcelona's Modern Art Scene: A Fresh Perspective!
#summervacay
Since recent events have made new travels difficult, I've been diving into old memories. Friends often joke that if I'd been more diligent in sharing my past adventures, I'd be a travel blogger by now! But honestly, there are some places I've visited that were so incredibly beautiful, I selfishly wanted to keep them just for myself.
Anyway, Barcelona is a city I first visited a decade ago, back when I was a clueless teenager exploring most of the major famous sights alone. So, when I returned this past February, I was determined to have a relaxed weekend getaway and completely avoid the typical tourist traps. No Gaudi, no Casa Milà, no Sagrada Familia – this trip was all about the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA).
It's a shame that most visitors only come to Barcelona to see the grand architectural masterpieces, often overlooking the city's vibrant development in modern art, especially within such an excellent architectural space as MACBA.
I particularly loved the juxtaposition of the surrounding old town buildings and palm trees with this striking modern structure. And out front, there were so many young people skateboarding, adding to the lively, authentic atmosphere. It was a wonderful way to experience a different side of Barcelona, away from the usual crowds.

Welcome to the largest castle in the world!
What do you think of when you hear about knights of the realm and beautiful castles? Do you think of something from a Disney film?
Well, this is the reality at Malbork Castle, a beautiful castle located in North-Eastern Poland that is located only 30 minutes away from the popular tourist city of Gdańsk. If you’re in Gdańsk, it is definitely worth doing a day trip to visit this Castle. This castle contains so many secrets! Did you know that this is the largest castle in the world by land area?!?
The castle dates back to the 13th century, and it has everything that you would expect from a Castle dating back to the Middle Ages. You’ll find drawbridges, gates, moats and secret passageways within the confines of this building.
This Castle was built as a Castle for the Teutonic Knights. A group of knights who fought in the Crusades - fighting for land in Jerusalem and also to build hospitals. The knights still exist today, but as a charity rather than as a military institution.
We visited the Castle on a Monday, which meant that the indoor areas of the Castle weren’t open. But there was more than enough to see in the outdoor area, otherwise known as the Green Route. Entry was 30 złoty, or about £6, and for this price, you could get a free audio guide included. Definitely well worth a trip!

Spending some time on the Portuguese Riviera!
Let’s go on a day trip. This time, to the beach town of Cascáis, located about an hour’s train ride from Lisbon.
This charming seaside town feels a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city, even though it’s within the Lisbon metropolitan area. It’s part of what has been dubbed the Portuguese riviera but it hasn’t been saturated by tourism.
Your first stop has to be finding and admiring the Santa Maria lighthouse. With its blue and white stripes, this lighthouse really makes for the picture postcard view. Set back in a little cove, it’s not unusual to find people swimming here in these serene surroundings.
The town has many pretty buildings and a cool, laid back vibe. The perfect place to wander around and relax.
With cascáis being located on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, a walk along the coast line is a must whilst visiting this town. Watching the waves roll and sometimes crash in from the Atlantic is a spectacular sight. I felt like I could spend hours here pondering over the natural beauty that can be found in life. A word of caution if you get too close to the waves though - you could end up soaked!
I enjoyed all of this whilst jetting away with just a backpack - no suitcases in sight! One essential that I always have to take with me is my camera - in this instance, a Sony Alpha 7 IV. I’d be lost without it, especially in capturing the stunning views that can be seen across the ocean and beyond!

Qatar: Doha Snapshots! 🇶🇦✨
#summervacay
It's hard to believe I've visited Doha six times this past year! It's quickly become a place of repeated stops and fascinating discoveries.
Here are some glimpses of what makes Doha so captivating:
Modern Marvels Meet Desert Charm: Doha effortlessly blends futuristic skyscrapers and incredible architecture with its rich Arabian heritage and the timeless beauty of the desert.
Cultural Hub: From the stunning Museum of Islamic Art and the vibrant Souq Waqif (perfect for traditional shopping and dining) to the contemporary galleries of Msheireb Downtown Doha, there's a deep cultural pulse.
Culinary Delights: The food scene is incredibly diverse, offering everything from authentic Qatari cuisine to world-class international dining.
A City of Contrasts: You can find serene Corniche walks, bustling markets, and peaceful desert landscapes all within easy reach.
Whether it's for a quick layover or a longer stay, Doha always offers something new to experience.

Parisian Whirl: A Weekend of Reverie.
A weekend in Paris, where every turn revealed something special. From charming streets and vibrant food markets to hidden gems tucked away in independent shops, the city was pure magic. Google Maps led me to iconic landmarks, but the real treasures were the unexpected discoveries—cosy cafés, elegant restaurants, and an unforgettable night at a jazz café with live music that set the perfect tone. Three days of beauty, flavour, and melody in the heart of Paris.

Sailing Through History & Serenity: My Southampton Trip Experience
#SouthamptonTrip
If you're looking for a perfect blend of maritime history, modern charm, and coastal serenity, Southampton is a must-visit. My trip to this port city left me with unforgettable memories—and a serious desire to go back!
What struck me first was how seamlessly Southampton weaves its rich nautical past into a vibrant present. I started my journey at the SeaCity Museum, where I learned about the city’s Titanic connection. The museum is incredibly well-curated, and the interactive displays are worth every second. From there, I wandered through the Old Town Walls—some of the best-preserved medieval town walls in England. It’s like walking through time, right in the heart of a buzzing city.
One of my favorite parts of the trip was a peaceful morning at Mayflower Park, watching ferries glide across the Solent while sipping coffee from a local café. The waterfront energy is calming yet alive, especially around Ocean Village. The restaurants there are perfect for an evening meal, with fresh seafood and twinkling harbor lights.
I highly recommend visiting between May and September. The weather is mild, perfect for walking or cycling the city's many green trails, especially in Southampton Common—a lush escape in the middle of urban life.
If you're up for a day trip, hop on a short ferry to the Isle of Wight or explore the nearby New Forest National Park, both easily accessible from the city.
Bonus tips:
Use the Bluestar buses for reliable local travel
Check out the local markets around Bargate for artisanal finds
This trip reminded me how travel doesn’t need to be far-flung to be transformative.

LiverpoolTrip: A City of Music, Magic, and Maritime Charm
#liverpooltrip
There’s something special about stepping into Liverpool—it’s like walking into a living, breathing playlist where every street hums with history, culture, and charisma. My Liverpool trip wasn’t just a visit; it was an experience that struck a chord deep in my traveler’s soul.
I arrived in late April, and I’d definitely recommend spring as the best time to explore the city. The air was crisp but not cold, the parks were lush and blooming, and the tourist crowds hadn’t yet reached their summer peak. It felt like the city had time for me—and I had time to enjoy every little detail.
One of the biggest highlights was, unsurprisingly, The Beatles Story at Albert Dock. Even if you're not a superfan, it’s impossible not to be swept up in the nostalgia and brilliance of the Fab Four. But Liverpool offers far more than its legendary music roots. I wandered through the Royal Albert Dock—a perfect blend of history and modern vibes, with art galleries, cafes, and water views that seem tailor-made for a slow afternoon.
What mattered most to me? The people. Liverpudlians are warm, witty, and wonderfully proud of their city. I had the best chats with locals at The Cavern Club (yes, that Cavern Club), and got spot-on recommendations I wouldn’t have found in any guidebook.
Don’t miss a sunset walk along the Mersey, or a trip to Anfield—even if you’re not a football fan, the spirit in that stadium is electric. And if you love street art, head to the Baltic Triangle where every wall tells a story.

Amsterdam at Easter!
Amsterdam is a wonderful city to visit, it's busy, colourful and culturally rich. Evenings are peaceful as you can see from my pictures with walks along the canals, but also the days are vibrant, full of art, museums and other sites to visit.
We visiting the Tulip fields which is well organised and does not affect the transport in and around Amsterdam. There was a bit of traffic towards Keukenhof but it was expected as we visited during the holiday season.
💞Reasons to Recommend:
🕰️Business Hours:There are lots of cafes, and amazing food places.
We recommend The Yeti - Nepalese & Indian Restaurant and Chun for their amazing Matcha Lattes and Sandwiches (bit of a queue...). Finally we recommend Van Stapele for their cookies. There is lots to do, boat trips on the canal, museums, shopping, site seeing and tulip fields!
💰Average Price per Person: Spending money, we each took €150-€200 / the price per person generally depends on accommodation and flights. We spent £450 on flights and accommodation for 2 of us. It's a bit pricey but it's typical for a capital city during the April Easter holiday period.
🚎Transport: Lots of availability, bikes, boats, buses and trams, metro or train. There are various methods to get around the city! It's also very walkable.
🏨Hotel: We have to recommend Hotel2Stay, good prices, friendly staff and it was very easy to get to and get around from. Perfect hotel for short or long stays as they have kitchens and lots of storage for clothes.
Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend going!

How I Conquered Bath in 48 Hours: Soaks, Scones, and a Side of Bridgerton Vibes✨🍷
Confession: I thought Bath was just a postcard town—until I spent 48 hrs there. Spoiler: It’s BETTER!, Here’s how I maxed out two days like a time-crunched Austen heroine:
DAY 1:
AM:Started at the Roman Bath’s steamy, ancient, and cooler than expected. Tasted the “healing” water (spoiler: metallic regret). Climbed Bath Abbey’s tower for rooftop views that’ll humble your Instagram feed.
Lunch: Sally Lunn’s legendary “bunn” with cinnamon butter. Life-changing? Yes.
PM:Strolled Pulteney Bridge, obsessed over the waterfall weir. Joined a free walking tour for Georgian gossip, ending at the Royal Crescent (cue *Bridgerton* fantasies). Hiked to Alexandra Park for sunset views—worth every calf burn.
Dinner:The Marlborough Taverns cider-braised pork.
DAY 2:
AM:Pretended I owned a Royal Crescent townhouse. Played dress-up at the Fashion Museum (RIP my dignity).
Lunch: Champagne at The Pump Room with a sugar-dusted Bath Bun. “Chef’s kiss”
PM:Thermae Bath Spas rooftop thermal pool—soaking with Abbey views is peak luxury. Twilight slots = bubbly + golden hour magic.
Dinner: The Scallop Shell’s fish & chips—crispy perfection.
Nightcap:Natural wine at “Corkage”because balance 😂.
💡 TIPS:
- Walk everywhere (Bath’s tiny!).
- Skip Sunday shopping—nap instead.
- Prior Park’s fairy-tale bridge is a 10-min taxi ride.
Bath’s a time capsule with thermal baths and Georgian architecture perfect trip away in the beautiful county of Somerset.

Cardiff trip 🗺️

Cardiff city center in spring was an absolute delight! 🌸🏙️ The mix of historic charm and modern vibes made it such a fun place to explore. Walking along Queen Street, I loved the energy—buskers playing music, locals rushing about, and plenty of shops to browse. St. David’s Shopping Centre was massive, perfect for some retail therapy.
For history lovers, Cardiff Castle (£14.50) was right in the center, a must-see with its stunning architecture. Nearby, Bute Park was a peaceful escape, filled with blooming flowers and scenic walking trails. I also visited the National Museum Cardiff (free entry!), where I was blown away by the art and natural history exhibits. At night, the pubs and bars around Mill Lane and St. Mary Street were buzzing! 🍻✨

If you want to escape the hustle of Shanghai but still soak in those iconic views, North Bund Garden is the perfect spot. It’s not as touristy as The Bund, which makes it even more special. You’ve got these beautiful green spaces where locals are just chilling, jogging, or doing tai chi, and then you look up, and boom—the skyline of Pudong is right in front of you. It’s such a cool contrast between the peaceful garden vibes and the towering modern buildings across the river. I spent an afternoon here just walking around, sitting on a bench, and taking in the view. It’s also a great spot if you’re into photography because you can get some amazing shots of the city from a different angle. Definitely one of those places that feels like a little hidden gem in a city that never stops moving.

Just returned from a fantastic trip to Warsaw, and it’s a city full of surprises! 🏙️ I started my visit in the Old Town, which is beautifully rebuilt after WWII. Visiting Porto was magical 🗺️

Just got back from an incredible trip to Porto, and I'm still buzzing from the experience! 🎉 The city is full of charm, with its colorful buildings, winding streets, and friendly locals. I started my visit with a walk along the Ribeira district by the Douro River – such a beautiful area with cafes and street performers. 😍 Crossing the Dom Luís I Bridge was a highlight, offering amazing views of the city and the river below.
I visited the Livraria Lello, one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world. The entrance fee was €5, which you can use as credit toward a book purchase – a great deal if you're a book lover! 📚 I also took a tour of one of the famous port wine cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia for around €15, which included tastings. 🍷 If you’re into history and culture, the Clérigos Tower and the Porto Cathedral are must-sees, and both offer stunning views of the city. Porto has this laid-back vibe mixed with so much to see and do; I’m already dreaming of my next visit! #trip #Porto #Portugal #Travel #CityBreak #PortWine
Lisbon city break 🗺️
#traveldiaries
Just got back from an amazing city break in Lisbon, and it completely exceeded my expectations! 🥰 This city has such a cool vibe with its mix of old-world charm and modern energy. I spent hours wandering through the narrow streets of Alfama, stumbling upon hidden cafes and listening to Fado music drifting from open windows 🎶. One of the highlights was taking Tram 28 (€3), which rattles through the historic neighborhoods – it's a bit touristy but totally worth it for the views and experience.
I also visited the Belém Tower and Jerónimos Monastery; both are stunning and steeped in history. The combo ticket for both sites was €12, which felt like a good deal. The Pasteis de Belém is nearby, so of course, I had to try the famous custard tarts, and they did not disappoint! 🥮 The city’s nightlife was fantastic too, especially in the Bairro Alto area where bars and clubs spill out onto the streets. Lisbon is definitely a city I want to revisit. #trip #Lisbon #CityBreak #TravelPortugal #Wanderlust #LisboaAdventures
