This time the theme is Halloween wonderland, adults and children have to check in before entering 🤣 Each table has been prepared a large pumpkin 🎃 and all the tools to wait for a while to slowly go to make, then the waiter will take a large afternoon tea in front of you to enjoy slowly, children's favorite face painting how can not miss it! Shangri-La is one of the 5 star hotel in Singapore and recently had revamped on interior and exterior of the hotel. Actually i was attracted to their revamped lobby and the orchid garden pavilion. This hotel is also just a walking distance to shopping paradise: Orchard Road! As we wish to enjoy Christmas mood along Orchard, so Shangri-La is in our top pick. Set amidst 15 acres of lush greenery, Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore with luxurious guestrooms and suites in three distinctive wings, and serviced apartments and residences in four-storey villas. They also have the spa facility CHI, The Spa and dining place such as The Waterfall, The Line, or Shang Palace. The Lobby If without the candle, the reflective pool will have a beautiful reflections of the green walls and the trees. Btw, the trees are real! I really love the high ceiling! This looks like classic with contemporary touch. The Koi Pond and Waterfall Garden The lush greenery happening at the center of the hotel.. It’s very tropical and resemblance the forest/ jungle. Upon arriving at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, you will leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind you. Colourful Koi Pond at the Waterfall Garden is amazing, once you get into it, you won’t feel that you are in the city area. It’s like urban resort or city sanctuary concept. Tower Wing Our room located at Tower Wing. The room is very spacious! And it has overlooking to the city area. The Orchids Built to celebrate Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore’s 45th anniversary on 23 April 2016, The Orchid, a seven-metre tall open-air orchid greenhouse was specially designed to enhance and complement the unique green environment within 15 acres of gardens in the estate. The Orchid showcases the beauty of tropical orchids that have for long been at the forefront of our nation’s proud natural heritage. It has a magical effect for the photoshoot. The afternoon sun creates the shadow inside the pavilion, if you want some dramatic shot with the shadow, come in the afternoon. I would say even tho the place is a bit old, but their service is top notch. It's great that swimming pool has provided the towel for guests who come for swimming, I don't understand why those towels limited to 2 towels per room, it seems like not thinking of family who come with kids. Besides, why the towel is not allowed to bring it to the room, this is normal practice to most of the hotel in the world. Check out time was too long, the reason behind was the check-in and check-out sharing the same counter. Beautiful afternoon teaset is served with designer fine china and silverware. The teaset is in a very good portion which can be served as late light lunch. This was my second stay at the Shangri La Hotel and this time round, I booked the Garden Wing room (pool view) as I heard that the views were good! True enough, we were assigned a room which overlooked the pool which was great. The vibes of the rooms at the Garden wing are very different from the Valley wing, more resort and chill feel whereas the valley wing is more opulent (old style). I loved the room as it was very spacious with with huge balcony where we could chill out with drinks at night while overlooking the nice view! The bathtub was also great as usual and my kid loved playing in it. The hotel also gave cute cookies for my child and she loved it. We went to the Splash Zone where we had a great time, the pool area has many pool features including a giant bucket of water which will overturn when the water accumulates. The kids at the pool loved it and kept waiting for the bucket to fill up so they could get splashed by the water! #momentssg #staycationsg #shangrilahotel

Hairy crab season returns to Michelin-starred restaurant Shang Palace as Chef Daniel Cheung encapsulates the essence of the seasonal crustacean with a selection of delectable ala carte dishes and a six-course hairy crab set menu, available daily from 17 October to 30 November 2022. • Started off my Hairy Crab 6-course menu ($268++) with a trio of luscious starters - Chilled Marinated Baby Tomato with Plum, Deep-Fried Toast with Hairy Crab Roe, and Chilled Fresh Abalone Marinated with Japanese Sake that guaranteed to get you in the mood for the next few courses.
