The ultimate satisfying Wagyu feast
I made an appointment with my male best friend for dinner after a long time. The dinner arranged for men is a little different, it’s right to arrange meat! Recently I saw a lot of online sharing about a Japanese stone grilled wagyu specialty store in Sai Wan, which really attracted me. I went there with my male bestie tonight to try it out @rockwagyuhk

For just over NT$500 (not including service charge), you can enjoy Wagyu beef from Japan, the United States and Australia, as well as clam soup, mixed vegetable salad, two types of rice and a drink! Super rich~
The clam soup has a clear broth with the umami flavor of bonito broth and the spicy taste of pepper. It is rich in ingredients, including clams, kelp and tofu cubes. The mixed salad has fresh green salad vegetables, crab roe and mayonnaise, and has a crisp, refreshing and appetizing taste. Both of these can be eaten with meat to reduce the greasiness!
There are three types of rice. In addition to white rice, there is also the popular hot spring egg seaweed rice and the less common burdock grilled meat sauce seaweed rice. The hot spring egg is made with Japanese eggs and Japanese Niigata rice, with plenty of seaweed shreds and Japanese soy sauce to add to the flavor. Personally, I like the burdock grilled meat sauce seaweed rice the most. The white rice is added with burdock shreds, carrot shreds, seaweed and special sauce. It has a layered texture and is slightly sweet, full of home-style flavor.
Now comes the highlight of the whole set meal: Wagyu beef! And they have to be five different parts from three countries, each with a 50g portion: Australian M9 Wagyu diaphragm, Japanese A4 Kuroge Wagyu beef and thick-cut triangular flank slices, and American SRF Wagyu rump and shoulder tenderloin. The store will prepare a stone stove for each customer and preheat the beef fat, so that you can start grilling at any time!
If you love oily and fragrant food, come and try the black Wagyu beef brisket! The oil is evenly distributed, and the taste is delicate and rich. Just a little bit of salt is enough to make the taste outstanding. The same is true for a bite of Wagyu beef cubes, but because it is cut into cubes, the texture is different and the taste is a little richer! The wagyu from the United States has a moderate fat content, with even and delicate distribution of fat, and you can taste the delicious flavor of the beef itself. The meat is thick yet tender. The rump cap is thinly cut, so it doesn’t need to be roasted for too long to be delicious, and the beef flavor will be more prominent. Both types are less greasy than black-haired wagyu! The Australian representative Wagyu diaphragm has the strongest beef flavor, the lowest fat content, and the highest chewiness among the five types! Each type of wagyu beef has its own characteristics, depending on your preference. The store also prepares a small amount of vegetables such as eggplant, mushroom slices and zucchini to help customers balance the greasy feeling during the meal.

The absolutely IGable Mount Fuji Special Drink has an appearance just like Mount Fuji, with a blue and white gradient effect and distinct color layers. The light blue bottom layer is refreshing cream soda, and the white foam on the surface is cream milk foam. Another cup of pineapple special drink soda, the store uses pineapple juice and the rarely consumed blue orange juice to make a gradient green, and also adds the same refreshing soda water. The shop is located in Sai Wan, close to the University of Hong Kong and Sai Ying Pun MTR Station. From the facade to the interior decoration, it is full of Japanese style. The area is not large, but the high ceiling makes it feel spacious. The concrete walls are covered with Japanese posters, which feels a bit like an izakaya. In addition to this set meal, there are also general Japanese dishes and other meats that can be grilled. Recently, the shop has launched a one-hour all-you-can-eat beef tongue.
