The buffet spread was well thought out—offering a good balance between international staples and local Penang favorites. There were live cooking stations preparing eggs any style and a particularly delicious Penang Hokkien Mee station that I looked forward to. Pastries were fresh, and there was a generous selection of fruits, cereals, cheeses, and hot dishes. Coffee was strong and satisfying, with a self-service machine for specialty drinks as well. The staff were consistently friendly and prompt with clearing plates or offering assistance, which added to the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Was surprised to know that The Clan Hotel is now offering breakfast buffet. Breakfast buffet is served at Level 4 of the hotel. Sad to say, the breakfast was disappointing. Limited choices were offered as shown in the photos and the quality wasn’t there. I highly suspect that food has been reheated. I believe the hotel can do better. If your hotel booking doesn’t come with breakfast, I think you can give it a miss and not top up for it. On the second day of our staycation, I came to have breakfast after watching the sunrise. I was already feeling very hungry. Environment: In the previous article about afternoon tea, we have mentioned that the outdoor area is more beautiful than the indoor area. This time, we can sit in front of the auditorium, and the temperature is still cool in the morning, so it is not hot at all. It is very comfortable and relaxing. Service: It was already 8:30 when we were seated. The receptionist reminded us that each dining session lasted for one hour and it was now 8 to 9 o'clock. 😧 This was a disguised reminder that we had to leave within half an hour. I was very dissatisfied 😑. We came here for vacation, not to rush to work 😓. And it seemed that they were afraid that we would stay in the restaurant and not leave. I have never experienced such a reminder from a staff. This was my first time in this hotel. The vacation feeling was immediately greatly reduced! 😨 Breakfast: Basically, there are porridge, noodles and bread. There are two areas where people are specially cooked. One is scrambled eggs. You can have fried eggs, scrambled eggs or omelette! The other one is boiled noodles, which I have never eaten. There is also a tea area, salad bar, Chinese dim sum and fruit area in the cooked food area, and the best thing is that there is a Movenpick cheese cabinet. Must-eat recommendations: Tried 🍽Black Truffle Scrambled Eggs🥚, Scrambled Eggs and Omelette. The best one was the Black Truffle Scrambled Eggs, which had a strong truffle flavor. The other two were just okay. 🥐Croissant There are many kinds of bread. I saw that the croissants and donuts were both very tempting, so I only tried the croissants. It was very crispy and had a strong buttery aroma. It was excellent. 🍅Herb Tomato Every grain is sweet and fresh, I love eating it. 🥛Movenpick cheese I only tried the peach flavor, which wasn't too sweet, but had no fruit pulp, just pure cheese. As for the rest, it's normal, nothing special. 😫The only thing that felt bad was the "kind reminder" at that moment. I chose breakfast included when booking for my staycation. This breakfast buffet is great 👍🏼 There’s so much variety to please everyone who wants a western or a Chinese breakfast. I loved the choices of bakeries, though a tad dry. I loved the concept of making my own fresh juice using fruits and/or veggies near the salad bar 😃 I mostly had a western style breakfast which kept me full for hours. I also loved that there were more choices of tea than the typical green or black tea. Food and drinks are constantly refilled 👌🏼 Some of them are cooked on the spot. I’ve had a number of staycations during the pandemic and here are what I appreciate most in the buffet spread: 1. a large food section for kids (I think this will be appreciated by mommies and daddies who are vacationing with their kids.) 2. their tasty, crispy & thin bacon!!!! (I miss honeycured bacon & can’t find it here in SG. So, it is a delight everytime I find bacon in a hotel’s buffet spread! Right insde the Robinson Galleria Mall Cebu is the Summit Galleria Hotel, a three-star hotel. It is more grand than any other three-star hotel. It has bigger room, high ceiling and huge lobbies. Summit Galleria Hotel offers indoor dining where they serve meals all day long. My favorite part is their breakfast buffet. Such a huge selection, from pastries, to cereals, and to our favorite Filipino breakfast meals and snacks. They also have the most elegant dining space. I went to the JW Marriot Dongdaemoon Square Hotel Breakfast Buffet. The hotel is located right in front of the subway station in central Seoul for convenient transportation. It is connected to Gyeongbokgung Palace, Jongno, Inwangsan Mountain, and Namsan Mountain. So, it is the best place for a tourist hotel. However, the surrounding area is Tapgol Park or Pyeonghwa Market, so it gives an underdeveloped image, so there is no splendor. Unlike its reputation and price, the facility and the breakfast buffet were not very fancy, just plain. These days, there are many fancy and delicious restaurants, so it's too standardized for a hotel breakfast buffet.
