[Christchurch] A place to relax! Botanic Gardens 🪴
Christchurch is known as the "Garden City" of New Zealand's South Island.
The symbol of this name is the "Botanic Garden" that spreads out in the center of the city 🪴
Within the vast grounds, you can enjoy the different expressions of the seasons, such as rose gardens, greenhouses, virgin forest areas, and paths covered with cherry blossoms and daffodils in spring and golden fallen leaves in autumn ♪
You can spend your time however you like, such as sitting on the grass reading or having a picnic, or watching the gardens from the river on a rowboat "punting" 😊
One of the great things about the park is that admission is free. Whether you want to be soothed by plants or are looking for a photogenic spot, you are sure to experience the "quiet excitement" that can only be experienced here.
If you visit Christchurch, the Botanic Gardens is a must-see healing paradise🌷

[Christchurch] Riverside Market🇳🇿
If you come to Christchurch, New Zealand's South Island, you can't miss the Riverside Market!
You can do everything from souvenirs to meals and sweets here☺️
Not all shops are open until 9pm, but considering Christchurch closes early, most shops are open late♪
You can eat the food you buy on the first floor on the second or third floor! Also, on sunny days, you can sit on the terrace or outdoor seats, which is very pleasant🌞
I love eating authentic croissants from the bakery and coffee purchased from the cafe on the third floor in the morning when it's not crowded, and I highly recommend it☕️

[New Zealand] Visit a church where the Milky Way falls
Lake Tekapo on New Zealand's South Island.
At night, the dense Milky Way, which is typical of one of the world's leading starry sky sanctuaries, begins to cover the sky above the Church of the Good Shepherd, and you can see a scene that looks like stars are falling.
It was my dream to see this with my own eyes 🥹
During the day, it's a spectacular spot where the blue of the sky and the blue of the lake blend together!
The contrast between the snow-capped mountains and the turquoise lake is truly beautiful ✨
[How to get there]
- Nearest city: About 3 hours by car from Christchurch
I took the public bus (InterCity)
[Recommended time of day]
- Daytime: Around 10am-3pm is the best time for the light to shine through (enjoy the blue lake)
- Night: The best time is after 11pm on a night close to the new moon (to see the Milky Way)
I definitely want you to see the Milky Way, so I recommend staying for two nights ✨

[New Zealand] Can you see the Aurora?!
#0yentravelFebruary2025
Wow!!! You can see the Aurora in New Zealand (Queenstown)!
You don't have to go anywhere special, you can see the Aurora from the city. I stayed in New Zealand from July to February, and a friend told me that you can only see it around May, so I gave up, but I was able to see it multiple times in those seven months. So I think you can see it pretty much any time of the year.
When you think of the Aurora, you think of green, but the Aurora in New Zealand is red!
If you go to New Zealand, be sure to check the Aurora forecast! If you're lucky, you might even encounter it...?
