A very cozy courtyard hotel with strong local characteristics, elegant and quiet environment, spacious and comfortable rooms, sufficient and delicious breakfast and dinner with reasonable matching. The hot springs are private and you can enjoy them relaxingly. The hotel is in a great location, very close to the bus stop, and it only takes 3 to 5 minutes to walk in a straight line. The town is not very big, you can walk everywhere, the air is good, and it is very suitable for a leisurely walk, with a feeling of wanting more.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the accommodation was fantastic. We arrived at night, and the walk there felt a little eerie, but I imagine a bus would be fine during the day. We spent the day exploring Lake Kinrin and then made sure to get to the *sotbap* (hot pot rice) restaurant right opposite as soon as it opened. We also enjoyed the hot spring both in the evening and again in the morning – it was absolutely wonderful!

I almost didn’t book this because there wasn’t an en-suite bathroom (there’s a sink & WC though) but so glad I didn’t miss out on this gem of a ryokan! The decor was modern Japanese chic, the service was super friendly and the location was insane - less than a minute to the shopping street from the side lane! I booked a river view but I feel any room would have a good view. As for not having an en-suite bathroom, the private onsen more than made up for it!

The hotel is slightly over 1km from Kirin Lake and the shopping lane but it offers free bikes for use by guests and cycling to the attractions is a breeze from the hotel. In addition, the hotel offers booking for three of their onsen amenities - open air, semi open air and we xtra hot osen. Guest can book the preferred slot at one of the onsen location and by about 8pm, the hotel will allow guests to book any additional slots at any of their onsens. We managed to have slots for all three of the onsens, each was well maintained and provides you to have privacy of quiet onsens. There is a hotel lounge where you can have free flow of cold and old drinks too...

The room is a traditional Japanese family Japanese-style villa in Japan. The room type I booked is on the first floor. There is a private soup in the small yard. If you want to experience the Japanese-style traditional room, you can try it. The only downside is that it takes half an hour to walk from the JR station. In the countryside, the owner must pick you up in the past, but he said that he did not let the house on Trip.com, and he was in agodo. We booked two rooms, and both hot springs were outdoors. It was a unique experience to soak in the hot spring while looking at the mountains and forests.
