The beef tongue rice there is well made. It is a chain store and can be found in almost all shopping malls. They also have octopus balls that my kids and wife like. It is quite expensive, the cooking is so-so, and there is a lot of flour.

The COVID-19 pandemic in Australia has been getting worse recently, and I've suddenly started missing that bowl of ox tongue rice. I scrolled through my phone album and the last time I went there was in January 2019... There are two restaurants in the city center. One is on Little Collins Street, easy to find along the road. The other is in a small alley behind Melbourne Central. It's old and run-down, but it's packed with people, making it perfect for takeout. The restaurant specializes in a variety of rice bowls, all of which are quite delicious. The most inconspicuous one, but the one I miss the most, is the ox tongue rice bowl. How could it be so tender? Is it the ox tongue I've always imagined? The juicy sauce is so flavorful and slightly sweet. It's also delicious when mixed with rice.
