靓女福春看世界Who gets it? Want to escape the 996 workweek and just chill out, but don't want to spend too much? I've discovered four "healing slow cities," from the vibrant fireworks of Southeast Asia to the romantic romance of Northern Europe. They're super relaxing to explore on your own. I checked into two last year, and my colleagues kept saying, "You're glowing!" 😂 Save it now, and escape whenever you want!
☀️ Chiang Mai, Thailand | 7 days for 3,000 baht, the ultimate in vibrant energy.
Why choose this? Enjoy Thai milk for 10 baht, fried noodles for 20 baht, wander the Old Town without getting lost, and enjoy the streetscape from a cafe alone—time seems to slow down.
Must-dos (so fun solo!)
- Chiang Mai Old Town: Rent an electric scooter for 20 baht/day, ride past Tha Pae Gate to feed pigeons (10 baht feed, don't let them peck your hand), and sit on the steps of Chedi Luang Temple to watch the prayers—it's truly peaceful. Nimman Road Shops: A charming little shop with a superb atmosphere, an iced latte and mango sticky rice for only NT$40, and a NT$30 lemongrass diffuser that reminds me of the sunshine in Chiang Mai.
Pai Day Trip: NT$150 small tour with meals, take Instagram photos at a strawberry farm, and try volcanic pork ribs at the night market—so spicy you can't stop.
Must-try (NT$100 will last you a whole day!)
Thape Gate Night Market: NT$15 fried rice noodles and NT$20 mango sticky rice—eat until closing time and you'll be completely stuffed.
Chang Moi Road Cafe: NT$25 iced Americano and NT$15 pancakes. Outdoor seating with cats—you won't want to move.
Lazy Tips
Stay in a B&B in the Old Town for NT$100/night. There are food stalls right outside, so bring a small fan (some B&Bs don't have air conditioning, but they're still cool).
🍁 Kyoto, Japan | Wandering the ancient streets in a kimono—you'll be transported back a thousand years in seconds
Why choose? An ancient temple nestled in a small alleyway, renting a kimono for 200 yuan will create stunning photos. Watch the water flow by the Kamogawa River, and the gentle breeze is even better!
Must-See (Immersive and Relaxing!)
- Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine: Go take photos of the Thousand Torii Gates at 7 a.m. (no one's rushing for photos). Climb the stairs and meet a young woman traveling alone. Take photos and exchange photos and send messages on WeChat.
- Strolling through Gion: You might encounter geishas in the afternoon (don't take sneak shots; just greet them politely). Drink matcha at Kennin-ji Temple for 30 yuan, a bittersweet treat.
- Jumping on Turtle Rock at Kamogawa: Cross the river on the rocks in the evening, buy oden for 15 yuan, and enjoy it by the river. Watching student couples is so relaxing.
Must-Eat (Japanese Style!)
- Nishiki Market: Takoyaki (10 yuan) and grilled eel (20 yuan). Grab a matcha cookie as a souvenir.
- 7-Eleven: Rice balls (10 yuan) and oden (8 yuan). Convenient and delicious if you're on a tight schedule.
Tips for Lazy People
"Okamoto Kimono" offers rentals and hair wraps (book in advance). A one-day Kyoto bus pass is 60 yuan, half the price of a taxi.
🌊 Dali, China | Wind, Flowers, Snow, and Moon, Live Like Poetry
Why choose? A sea view room for 300 yuan, wake up at the Erhai sunrise, and relax in a cafe after a long ride – even being alone is romantic!
Must-do (so slow you won't want to walk!)
- Erhai Lake Cycling: Rent a bike for 30 yuan, ride from Cai Village to Panxi Village, take an S-bend to capture some viral photos, and buy a 5 yuan roasted milk fan from an elderly woman – bursting with milky aroma.
- Xizhou Ancient Town: See Bai ethnic minority dwellings, buy Xizhou baba (both sweet and savory) for 10 yuan, and enjoy three cups of tea and listen to stories at an old teahouse.
- Cangshan Ximatan: Take the 120 yuan one-way cable car to see the rhododendrons covering the mountains (opens in May), and gaze at Erhai Lake from the observation deck – all your anxieties vanish.
Must-try (Dali flavor is amazing!)
- Ancient City Snack Street: 15 yuan hot and sour fish + 10 yuan grilled bait, three days of no repeats.
- Shuanglang Seaview Restaurant: 50 yuan green papaya salad + Erhai fish, enjoy the view from the window while dining – it's such a treat.
Lazy Tip
Stay in Shuanglang Seaview B&B for 150 yuan/night. Open the curtains and see Erhai Lake. Don't go with the cheap tours (lots of pitfalls and exhausting).
❄️ Iceland · Reykjavik | Chasing the Aurora and Viewing the Glaciers: A Solitary Romance
Why choose? Chasing the Aurora in winter, watching the Midnight Sun in summer. Standing in front of the glacier, I felt small and free. Seeing the Aurora brought tears to my eyes.
Must-do (Unforgettable!)
- Golden Circle Day Tour: 300 yuan small group with guide, see the rift valley, Gullfoss Falls, and the geyser (the 30-meter-high spray is breathtaking).
- Blue Lagoon: 200 yuan admission, including a towel. Soak in the blue hot springs, apply a face mask, and forget the cold while looking at the snow-capped mountains.
- Aurora Hunting: 250 yuan aurora tour, wait for the dancing green aurora in the suburbs, and all loneliness will turn into romance.
Must-Try Foods (Specialty, no disappointments!)
- Seafood Market: 50 yuan lobster soup (lick the bowl!) + 30 yuan grilled cod, worth it even if it's cold outside.
- Convenience Store Hot Dog: 15 yuan each with sauce, enjoy it as breakfast every day, convenient and filling.
Lazy Tips
Bring a down jacket, snow boots, and a hot pack (you'll freeze in the winter), and stay in the city and join a small tour group (driving is difficult).
📝 Solo Travel Pitfalls
1. Budget: Chiang Mai and Dali offer great value. Book flights and hotels in advance for Kyoto and Iceland (expensive doubles during peak season).
2. Safety: Don't drive alone in Iceland. Avoid remote alleys in Chiang Mai and Kyoto. Wear a helmet when cycling in Dali. 3. Mindset: Don't rush your schedule. Rest when you're tired, chat with interesting people, and enjoy your solitude.
These four cities will make you forget your stress. I've saved my Iceland travel guide on my phone and will go again this winter! For more solo travel destinations, be sure to follow me. You can have a blast on your own, and follow me to avoid pitfalls! ❤️

Anzhuo Seaview Restaurant's ocean view is one of its biggest selling points, but its dishes are equally impressive. The restaurant's chefs possess superb culinary skills, capable of transforming various ingredients into delicious dishes. For example, the charcoal-grilled pork neck is grilled to a perfect crisp on the outside and tender on the inside, paired with a special sauce—it's incredibly flavorful. #RomanticDateRestaurant #DaliAnzhuoBaoYuan #DaliAnzhuoSeaviewRestaurant #DaliAnzhuoSeaviewHotel #RomanticCandlelightDinner
The romantic atmosphere of Dali Anzhuo Seaview Restaurant is captivating, and the restaurant's decor is full of artistic flair. The food also suited my taste perfectly, especially the braised beef brisket with tomatoes. The beef brisket was stewed until incredibly tender, and the tomato broth was rich and flavorful—it was absolutely delicious with rice. Dining here is not just about enjoying the food, but also about experiencing a romantic atmosphere. #DaliAnzhuoSeaviewRestaurant #DaliAnzhuoBaoYuan #RomanticDateRestaurant #AnzhuoSeaviewRestaurant #RomanticCandlelightDinner
As a highly acclaimed local seaside restaurant, Anzhuo is full of surprises in every detail. For the best views, choose a window seat on the first floor, ideally between 5 pm and 7 pm. This will allow you to witness the sunset painting the sea orange-red, creating a stunning scene that makes for countless photos. Reservations for the seaside seats are accepted, so it's recommended to arrive early to take photos and enjoy the sea breeze on the first-floor terrace. #AnzhuoSeaviewRestaurant #DaliRestaurantRecommendation #ErhaiCandlelightDinner #DaliRomanticDate/BirthdayDecoration #DaliAnzhuoCourtyardHouse
The sea view at Anzhuo Seaview Restaurant in Dali is absolutely stunning; dining here is like stepping into a painting. The dishes are also meticulously prepared, with attention to detail in everything from ingredient selection to cooking. I highly recommend their Australian grain-fed ribeye steak, pan-fried to medium-rare—the meat is tender and juicy, perfectly complemented by the black pepper sauce; it's simply divine. #AnzhuoSeaviewRestaurant #DaliRestaurantRecommendation #ErhaiCandlelightDinner #DaliRomanticDate/BirthdayDecor #AnzhuoBaoYuan
Anzhuo Seaview Restaurant, a new culinary landmark in Shuanglang, Dali. The restaurant boasts a beautiful ambiance, attentive service, and most importantly, delicious food. They offer many signature dishes, such as the black truffle beef fried rice, perfectly seasoned and not greasy, and the Yunnan wild mushroom and golden ear fungus soup, featuring a wonderfully soft and melt-in-your-mouth texture from the golden ear fungus. #AnzhuoSeaviewRestaurantDali #DaliRestaurantRecommendation #ErhaiCandlelightDinner #DaliRomanticDate/BirthdayDecoration #AnzhuoBaoYuan
