HUAMAO HOTEL·Restaurant

The restaurant of Datong Huamao Hotel is downstairs. I didn't expect the hotel I stayed in today was so high-end, it is definitely a landmark building in the city. Unfortunately, the special room can only be arranged in the annex building on the 5th floor, which was a false alarm. It is located outside the west gate of the ancient city, which is very convenient for visiting the ancient city.

I stayed here many years ago, and the prices were affordable, though Datong City wasn't as popular back then. Today, a friend treated me to a hot pot in the first-floor restaurant. It had a variety of meat and vegetable ingredients, including bok choy, vermicelli, loofah, quail eggs, squid, meatballs, shrimp, and more. There were also two other dishes, one tofu and one cabbage, for a group buy price of 99 yuan. The condiment station offered free side dishes (one cold dish and one pickled vegetable) and millet porridge. The decor was pleasant, though not very spacious, considering it's a hotel, but there's a banquet hall on the fourth floor. When I took my food to go, the waitress was very attentive and welcoming, which was very heartwarming. Overall, it was a very good experience.
