The restaurant looks small from the outside, but it is a different world when you go up to the second floor. The environment is elegant. The lemon duck is sour and sweet, which is more suitable for the taste. The fried fish, vermicelli, stuffed rice dumplings and other dishes are also very distinctive. I have a good impression of Guangxi cuisine!

Three Days, Two Nights Dongxing Border Tour | Watch the China-Vietnam Sunrise and Eat Vietnamese Rice Noodles for 2800 Yuan Per Person – This Off-the-Beaten-Path Treasure Route is Absolutely Worth It! Who says you have to go to Mohe to see a border sunrise? I just returned from Dongxing, Guangxi. Three days, two nights, and a total cost of 8936 yuan for three people – cheaper than a trip to Sanya! Yet, I witnessed the most breathtaking sunrise of my life – the sun rising over the Beilun River, with China on one side and Vietnam on the other, their national flags fluttering simultaneously in the morning breeze. No touristy crowds, just local residents carrying bamboo baskets across the bridge, and a motorbike army weaving between the two countries. This isn't just a tourist attraction; it's the living, breathing life of the border region. 📅 Itinerary: Slow-paced + High-experience, suitable for families/couples/friends Day 1: Arrive in Dongxing → Check into a guesthouse near the border → Night stroll through the old street and eat Vietnamese pho Nanning bullet train to Dongxing North Station (1.5 hours, 64 RMB/person) Stay at a guesthouse near "Border Trade City" (recommended: "Nanxi Home," 5-minute walk to the border, sea view room 268 RMB/night) In the evening, visit the Qilou Old Street, filled with Vietnamese signs, feeling like you've crossed a border. Dinner must-try: "Huang Jie Vietnamese Rice Rolls," the soup base is made with beef bones and lemongrass, 12 RMB a bowl, incredibly delicious! Day 2: Sunrise photography at the China-Vietnam Friendship Bridge → Buying durian at the cross-border market → Beachcombing at Golden Beach Departed at 5:30 AM to the viewing platform of the China-Vietnam Friendship Bridge The sun rose over Mong Cai, Vietnam, casting golden light on the Beilun River. Border guards patrolled, and fishing boats slowly passed by. I almost cried. In the morning, I went to the border residents' market. Vietnamese vendors sold mangosteens, durians, and rambutans directly from their stalls, all in cash. Three kilograms of durian only cost 45 yuan! In the afternoon, we went to Golden Beach to dig for sandworms and collect seashells at low tide; the kids had a blast! In the evening, we went to the "Overseas Chinese Remittance Hall" for fusion cuisine; I recommend the five-color sticky rice and lemon duck. Day 3: Visiting a Jing Ethnic Fishing Village → Return Trip In the morning, we went to Wanwei Jing Ethnic Island, China's only marine minority settlement. We experienced playing the monochord and took photos in Jing ethnic costumes (costume rental: 50 yuan/set). We bought souvenirs: Vietnamese coffee (15 yuan/pack), cinnamon sticks, and handmade fish balls. In the afternoon, we took the bullet train back, a relaxing trip. 💰 Expense Breakdown (Total for Three People) Bullet Train Tickets: 576 (round trip) Accommodation: Two nights in a guesthouse = 536 Food: 980 (snacks + main meals) Entrance Fees + Experiences: 320 (monochord + costume rental) City Transportation: 224 (taxi + electric scooter rental) Shopping: 1300 (fruit + souvenirs) Other: 500 (snacks + emergency supplies) ✅ Total: 8936 yuan 📌 Must-read Tips: 1️⃣ Check the weather and sunrise time in advance if you want to photograph the bridge at sunrise (5:30-6:00 AM is best). 2️⃣ Border trade is cash only, with a daily purchase limit of 8,000 RMB for duty-free goods per person. 3️⃣ Don't help others carry goods across the border! Beware of being used for money laundering. 4️⃣ Signal is poor in Vietnam; use offline map mode. Standing on the border, watching two countries awaken under the same sun, you'll understand: the world is vast, but peace is truly close. I didn't post this trip on social media; I just wanted to keep this awe-inspiring experience to myself. If you're tired of checklist-style tourism, come to Dongxing! For less than 10,000 RMB, experience a soul-stirring journey. Next stop: Ruili, Yunnan, to see the vibrant atmosphere of the China-Myanmar Street. The local duck is so sour to the bone! Ganjiajie Lemon Duck is worthy of its reputation as the granddaddy—salted lemons marinated for two years in an old-fashioned pot are chopped and stir-fried. The duck skin spurts out the sour juice, and the tendons crunch when chewed, creating a sour and spicy sensation that reaches your head! Secret way to enjoy it 👉 Duck sauce with rice! The oily rice grains are coated with lemon seeds, and the sour and fragrant flavor will make you want to eat three bowls straight! Double King Fried Duck Review 🔥: ❶ Hemp black tofu is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside! Bama hemp seeds are ground to a paste and dipped in spicy fermented bean curd for a smooth, brain-like texture. ❷ The small portion of passion fruit spare ribs is enough for three! The ribs are fried crispy and soaked in passion fruit juice, leaving a sweet and sour taste even between the bones. Paired with sour cucumber, it's a delicious dish! Price per person: 70 yuan (the small portion is 58 yuan, which is a better deal than the large one!), but by 6pm, the handwritten menu was soaked in sweat (call ahead to reserve one!). #GanjiajieLemonDuck
