Escape the city this weekend 🚗 and head to Xiangshan for the ocean! With locals leading the way, you'll enjoy abundant seafood and stunning coastline. This guide is perfect for beginners! 🌊Seaside Guide: 📍Songlanshan Coastal Resort Admission: 50 yuan. The vast coastline, white sandy beaches and azure waters are like a miniature Sanya! Arrive before 9 AM for less crowds and great photo opportunities. 📸 📍Shipu Fishing Port and Ancient Town The free area is a great place to explore, the fishing boat pier is incredibly atmospheric, and after 5 PM, there are many food stalls (recommended the shrimp cakes and fish balls). 📍Dongmen Island Driving to the island is super easy, and the sunset from the lighthouse is incredible! The view from the mountaintop cafe is fantastic ☕️ (use "Wanghaicha" on the navigation). 📍White Sand Bay A secluded, unspoiled beach! You can find small crabs at low tide 🦀️, so be sure to check the tide table (the entrance is behind the fishing village parking lot). 🦞Seafood Specials: 1. Fat Sister Fisherman's Restaurant (Shipu Branch) The clay pot fish head soup is incredible! 80 yuan per person, all you can eat, and the lines start at 5 PM. 2. Tiger Noodle House A local eatery, their seafood noodles come with 6 toppings, and the smoked fish is even better (147 Tian'an Road). 3. Hepu Market The freshest seafood is available between 6 and 8 AM! You can buy them prepared at the restaurant. We recommend the sesame snails at 30 yuan per pound. ⚠️Proof of Use: ✅ Check the weather before viewing the ocean! The ocean appears gray on cloudy days. ✅ Seafood is cheapest in September, after the fishing season begins. ✅ Parking is under 15 yuan at all attractions. ✅ Bring mint ointment! It repels mosquitoes and can also be used on jellyfish stings. 🏡 Accommodation Bonus: I recommend staying in Shipu Town! We stayed at the "Mountains and Seas" B&B, where we could watch the sunrise from the moment we woke up, and it was a 3-minute walk to a seafood restaurant. #Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai Tours #XiangshanTourism #UncommonIslands #SeafoodFreedom #ShortTrip
I discovered a lesser-known destination in Ningbo's Xiangshan, perfect for bringing kids. Previously, I only knew about popular attractions like Songlan Mountain, the Xiangshan Film and Television City, and the Shipu Fishing Port and Ancient Town. This time, I planned a day to explore some of the more off-the-beaten-path destinations. First stop: Toudun'ao Village, Sizhou, Xiangshan. Search this place name on the navigation. The rice paddies are along the road leading into the village. It's September now, and the rice hasn't yet turned yellow. During the National Day holiday, it should turn even yellower, making it even better for photos. 😊 The Cloud Building, a rice paddy café, is currently closed. The blue train, which you can ride, is also great for photos. ✌️ After entering the village, there's a small reservoir with many kayaks parked. It should be open for visits during a major holiday like National Day. The village has many homestays, which can be found on various apps. It's a model homestay village, and I expect it will continue to improve. The red auditorium, newly completed this year, is also very distinctive and offers great angles for photos. Our second stop was Shipu Fishing Port. We found the Broken Village Clay Pot Baked Seafood restaurant on our navigation, right next to the port. We had lunch there, though I'd heard online that there's a line during holidays. There were also many seafood noodle restaurants along the road, perfect for lunch. We walked along the dock for a bit and originally wanted to hike up the mountain to see the entire port, but we didn't have enough time. The entrance to the mountain is next to Yang's Noodle House. Our third stop was Shatangwan Village, just five minutes from Shipu Fishing Port. It's very close. There's a small tunnel leading into the village, and the village itself is right outside. It truly feels like a paradise. Just after exiting the tunnel, there's a Fat Sister Seafood Restaurant with clearly marked prices, and you can search for coupons on the app. There are guesthouses on both sides, and you can go catching seafood at low tide, perfect for bringing children. A day trip can be a bit rushed, so I recommend staying overnight and exploring more slowly. After all, Xiangshan has so many attractions. #unique holiday attractions#great places to take your kids out#family trips#Ningbo Day Trip#Ningbo Surrounding Tours#Xiangshan Tour#National Day Tour#Catching the Seafood
